My door was broken and anyone could get in without a card (it was fixed when asked, but it took a while for me to realize it was broken). Security -1000000 [I was called by the manager to be informed that the hotel was going to take certain measures towards me based on the comment I wrote. Because of that I decided to edit my comment leaving only the part that we both have evidence to know it is true]

The hotel is nice, but it’s seriously lacking maintenance. Lots of broken things, dirty stuff, terrible customer service, old furniture, etc. The tenis court is probably the worst tennis court I’ve ever been in my life, it’s impossible to use it as it’s full of pits and imperfections. The recreational room is always busy you never get to use it. The staff is rude, slow and incompetent. STAY AWAY!!

Let me start by saying the location of the hotel is great. The building are nice from the outside with great views. The rooms are also quite big. However, a few things made this stay subpar. First off, almost none of the staff speak English (not even a few words). The breakfast is mediocre at best. Dinner was better than the breakfast, but nothing to write home about. The room is clean enough, but not 5 stars clean. Mold on the bathroom caulking for example. What really left a sour taste though, is the fact that the hotel did not cancel the hold on my credit card for a month (!). I received little to no communication from their desk, just 1 email blaming their card processor with an excuse that doesn’t make sense — I’m in tech myself.

Very disappointed with a hotel that charges 500 USD the night. The beds are awfully soft and left me and my wife with back pain. The big pool is ice cold, even though the city had been in 30+ Celsius for several weeks (I heard from a friend it’s always like this). The facilities in general are worn out and need maintenance ASAP (the pool that has mosaic tiles had an impressive amount of tiles missing). Also, there should be small tables by the lounges in the pool to put stuff or even food or drinks and there is none. The room which is huge had a small tv proportionally to the wall. The stuff is friendly, but there is a lack of training and corporate treatment. They all seem to be doing things differently without a corporate homogeneous, uniform way of acting with guests. The kayak experience is lame, as they only let you paddle for about 150m, because the rest of the lagoon is restricted. There’s a general sense of poor service, I.e. the bathroom near the pool had no soap. And they charge you in USD, and convert it to pesos at their own rate, which ends up being more expensive than anyone can plan. It should be the other way around. Again, very dissatisfied.

I’m an elite Accor member and I usually don’t write bad reviews, but this hotel was utterly disappointing. The environment is gorgeous, and the hotel is nice and (mostly) clean. That’s it. The restaurant is shameful, service is slow and food is subpar to say the least. Breakfast is varied, but poorly managed, with people waiting 30 mins to get a clean plate, food improperly tagged and being replenished 5 mins before breakfast is over, and terrible coffee (that nobody tells you you can switch to decent coffee if you ask the waiters). I will stand out the service of a few staff members like Janet and Lucas at the reception who where kind and attentive. But many others were even rude, to the point of looking at you like you were annoying them by asking for a clean plate. The rooms are nice and spacious (at least the luxury one, to which I was upgraded due to my status), but my bed was never properly done (my sheets were partially ripped and I had to fix the mattress cover in the middle of the night) and the towels had stains. The spa is great, but access is not included with lodging. Overall a hotel that would be a good 4 stars, but it’s a poor 5 stars.

Not worth the price. Edit after owner's reply: OF course I'll measure against price. Or would you measure my payment in good will and good vibes?

A lot of things went different than what you’d expect on a 5-star hotel. No wifi for days, slow and scarce service (not even for room service), our shower wasn’t hot so they had to repair it during our stay, and the central pool was being repaired which led to having signs all over to block the view - something that would have been nice to know in advance so we could reschedule our stay. Whatever you do, don’t dine in La Butaca Restaurant, completely over priced and not worth it at all, I suggest instead Le Lac Restaurant which is right next to it, or even Tangrill a few blocks away from the Hotel, much more value for your buck even if it’s sort of a healthy fast food restaurant. At this pace I’d be surprised if the Hotel keeps it’s 5-star category for much longer.

Hey there! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Cardales Hotel, and let me tell you, it's really awesome! The rooms are incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated, giving off a luxurious vibe. There's no shortage of things to do here, with plenty of activities to keep you entertained throughout your stay. However, I must admit that as a 5-star hotel, I was expecting a bit more variety in the breakfast options. Don't get me wrong, the breakfast was good, but I was hoping for a more extensive spread. Overall, though, the Sofitel Cardales Hotel is definitely a great place to stay if you're looking for a fantastic experience with ample space and stunning surroundings.

Food is awful and service in the restaurant is really upalling! They took 40 minutes to bring a terrible hamburger with package fries, and the restaurant was practically empty. Incredible that it is a 5 star hotel. The only good thing are the rooms that are spacious, the bed and the bathroom.

Well located, great views, fantastic room service. I loved  the natural surroundings and it is very close to Otamendi nature reserve,a must if you enjoy birds watching. Very good balance between business and rest. If meat is an option in your diet, you have to ask for bife de chorizo, a punto!

Big, comfortable and well equipped structure. But it's a trap. At 8:30 pm you'll regret not having made a reservation for dinner outside bc the hotel restaurant food is awful. A big buffet and you'll find nothing interesting. The dessert looks like children were playing at Grandma's kitchen. Order a meal only to see overcooked meat. If it cost half its price it would still be the worst cost-effective in Argentina. A shame for a country blessed with one of the best cuisines in the world.

We are on a family holidays for the weekend and we have tried most amenities and offerings from spa, pools, kids room, games area, and mote expecting outstanding service and we received way below standard service. Also cleanness of spa was poor, pool with lots of guest hair, not very clean at all, or could be done much better, jets on the paid pool area jets did jot work and had to request to be reset, bowling game failing all the time, drinks crazy expensive and the few reasonable were out, so you only could buy what they want to. We came expecting a lot more service and quality.

Went to the Spa. Hotel has fabulous grounds and has lots of potential. The Spa and reception staff were all fabulous but the restaurant staff were very poor and spoiled the occasion.

Just incredible.. not only a 5 star resort, but the attention to detail is amazing. Very good experience.

Very nice hotel outside of BA, Rooms and facilities are great although rooms are missing basic features like coffee makers. Pool is nice but unheated. Also has kayaking available. Food was not great and probably the main reason it did not receive 5 stars, breakfast was a decent yet nothing special buffet, lunch burger was abismal, room service was also just okay. Be forewarned a EZE airport transfer will cost $1350.

Fantastic place to spend a very good and relaxed time. Spacious indoor and outdoor swimming pool, artificial lake, excellent breakfast and many good options for lunch and dinner. The only place that was not available this time es a the piano bar. The staff was also wonderful. A real pleasure

Enjoyed the experience immensely, fine foods, great wines. My room was palatial with a huge balcony overlooking the immaculately manicured gardens!

It’s my second weekly stay at the Sofitel. The area is quite nice and spacious, it’s a big hotel. It’s easy to get lost ◡̈ People are nice BUT Service is not professional. Most don’t speak English at all, which is definitely a downside if you are from abroad. The worst is that food is really no high standard. It’s very basic and often awful. There are some dishes like one pasta that u can actually eat. We ended up buying food at the gas station which is ridiculous for a stay in a water to be 5 star hotel. So if you are looking for some downtime and you are willed to drive to get food this is an ok place to be. Overall I would not recommend it for the money. It’s definitely not worth the money at all.
