Pretty good bánh mì, the beef was seasoned well, but missing carrot and daikon. I do agree with other reviews that this is a lot of cilantro. The wonton was big and crispy.

I ordered their Banh mi lemongrass and starter wonton soup. Delicious and tasty! Very good and authentic I like how big their banh mi’s are, very generous amount of food in their baguettes. Wish they could mix and do half/half Banh Mi like in Vietnam :p 4/5 stars!

Delicious Bahn Mi here. If you love Vietnamese food you should definitely pay District Tonkin a visit. Prices are good but the food is great. The place is well decorated as well.

Great Vietnamese food! The banh mi was really nice and crunchy and definitely fills you up for 85 DKK! The rice noodles were nice as well. Good for vegetarians and vegans, you can choose from multiple options!

The dishes are overfilled with koriander. Pho was delicious even tho a bit weird. The root veggies were huge pieces, hard to navigate in the soup. The sandwich was nice. Some items on menu were quite well priced, some were slightly more expensive. I am not sure i will come back again to this place.

Most importantly it’s a great value! It’s fantastic food for very cheap price. I really have nothing to add. The employees were very friendly and willing to help even tho the restaurant was packed. The soup was full of flavors, they didn’t have any problems with packaging the food we didn’t finish. Great service.

Amazing food and friendly staff! Also love the decorations. Our favorite ones were those fried shrimps. Crispy and filled with delicious shrimp meat. Also recommend the lychee drink. It is very refreshing! Definitely will visit again. 🤙🏼

Extremely poor experience there tonight. We ordered food at 21 and the food arrived after 10/15 minutes which is normal and expected. However, after 5 minutes, the waitress told us it was closing in 10 minutes (while the website was saying it was closing at 22, anyway). This was way too short to enjoy our dinner, we basically sat to chug our food. I understand that the staff needs to go home, but in that case don't accept orders after some point if it is to push your customers to eat in 15 minutes, or at least mention it, as we believe it was closing at 22 as mentioned online. On top of that, the behavior of the waitress was unacceptably rude. I have never seen such an impolite behavior, she was basically taking the plate from my hands while I was rushing to finish. She literally threw us and our stuff out from the door. Moreover, the tap water is overpriced. Food is decent, but you can find much better places in Copenhagen for similar prices, with a polite staff and correct service. I will never set foot there again and highly discourage you to do so as well. I remain flabbergasted by such impoliteness, it is maybe one of the worst restaurant experience in my life.

food was okay but not great. not very flavorful. small portions. if you’re looking for authentic vietnamese, don’t go here. service was friendly and the space is cozy- that’s about all that was good

Came for dinner on a Monday night and it got quite busy. It is low key in the order at the counter style restaurant, then food gets served at the table (somewhere between a cafeteria and full service restaurant). Nice decor and tasty food. Will definitely come back.

Good and affordable Vietnamese food in Copenhagen. Bahn Mi was delicious, Pho was okay. Wish they didn’t add so many bamboo sprouts.

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Must try their Bahn mi, lemongrass chicken salad, spring rolls.

The service was good. I did enjoy the snack box but not so much the vegan pho which did lack taste and spices.

We enter with three people and are invited to take place just after another 3 people group. They are seated at a 6 person table, and so are we. A very rude, different waitress tells us in a offensive way that we have to change. Then the first kind of waitress tells us to stay. After a few minutes a 4-person group comes in and we are replaced by a 4-person table that could also be suitable for the recently arrived 4 people group. Food was not crazy but the young man serving it was very kind! Will never come back due to rude waitress.

After I made the order, because I came alone, they did not allow me to take any table close to the wall. Only in the middle where I told I feel anxious. They returned money and refused to give me any other even standing table close to the wall.

Good find when we needed a good soup pho. Coffee is authentic Vietnamese and the kind waitress was helpful to give us some direction tips.

The Bo Kho was really well spiced and had an extremely flavorful broth. The tiger prawns with green rice coating was out of this world. 10/10 would visit again :)

Not the pho I expected. It’s not like Vietnam style. 1 euro extra charge if you want to get noodle instead of bread

  • 1/5 andree l. 1 year ago on Google
The quality of food did not meet expectations. The Pho was clearly arranged from a dried pack food that you can find in any asian grocery. No taste. On top of that, we waited about 45 minutes for a dish that is supposed to be ready in 5 minutes. No explanation or whatsoever. Really bad experience

Food is great! Service is not… I went in and ordered take away the “Beef Stew in 5 Spice: Slow cooked beef chunks topped with leek….served with a crispy warm baguette 86kr” and extra noodles “On the side +20kr”. The lady said it would only come with noodles and no baguette, which didn’t make sense to me as you pay extra for the noodles and lose the baguette that is part of the meal. They brought it out to me with only noodles and I pointed at the printed menu explaining it comes with a baguette, plus the extra noodles I paid for, and they reluctantly and dismissively gave me the baguette like I was a terrible customer… It’s like ordering a burger with extra cheese, and they take out the original cheese and put in the extra cheese at extra cost! Will keep ordering on Wolt where I don’t have to face bad customer service…

Pretty good food. Beware the food can be pretty spicy

Please no, it’s not good place for your meal - staffs are not familiar with the table setting, payment, serving foods, etc. The soups we ordered are full of oil and spices.

Good Vietnamese food but waaaaay to spicy. I like spicy usually do I guess it was a mistake of that evening but it was barely eatable due to the spices. Other than that, very nice staff and you can find a table even without reservation but do not go too late because it gets quickly busy!

Such a disappointment. Ordered via Wolt. The banh mi was a soggy baguette with an overdose of koriander, but no really good seasoning. The “bbq” pork was limp and did not taste fresh. Do not recommend ❌

I guess it’s my worst dinning experience ever. The waitress lady are super impatient seems like I owe her 1 million dollars. They have wifi but she said for SECURITI reason cannot share with me, OK, I looks like a spy right? The PHO is definitely not authentic. Plus, only very few noodles in the bowl, easily gets hungry in 30 mins. All in all, if you have this kinda service and food in Asia, you cannot run the business for more than one week.

Good vegetarian options and fast service when empty ;) They just need to work on the selection of beers as there was only Tiger.

Pho is so sugary sweet, not hot, it was somewhere between cold and warm. Although I asked no coriander in my pho but the taste had miserably so strong herb flavor which tasted like strong coriander to me. I only ate one bite and throw everything away

This place never lets me down! I've prpbaly ordered takeout 50+ times and the only reason I'd lower the rating is if I soon didn't get a loyal customer badge 😂

Very good all round. Enjoyed my beef noodle soup, but the wontons were a bit too spicy for my taste.

I went here randomly, and I'm not disappointed of this choice. Excellent Vietnamese restaurant. I have choose a Banh mi, the speciality sandwich, it was very tasty. I recommend it.

So happy this place has multiple vegan options, even a vegan pho! The broth was flavourful and the toppings (mushroom, tofu, I think it was seasoned daikon, and fresh herbs) made the it a full experience. They have another vegan option, banh mi sandwich, which I intend to try next time. I definitely hope they add more vegan dessert and snacks!

We really loved our lunch at District Tonkin. The Banh Mi's were enormous, and well tasting. The thing that was the best for me was the starters. The prawns and the wontons were absolutely amazing. Would go here for lunch often if I lived in Copenhagen. The service was also very good!

Perfect place for lunch! The industrial look fits the concept perfectly. Food is delicious and staff is very friendly. We would definitely come again. One little thing: we asked one dish without coriander but they still added it. Luckily it was easy to remove from the dish.
