NO... this is not amongst the famous Trio of Old Goa.... Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral and St. Augustine Church or Church of Our Lady Of Grace...this Church of St.Cajetan, popularly known as the Church of Divine Providence...is lesser known and less visited, but believe me, this is probably the most beautiful among all Goa Churchs and Cathedrals. Just 200 meters from famous Se Cathedral and beside Viceroy 's Arch... stands tall Church of St. Cajetan. Modelled on St. Peter's Basilica of Vatican City, this Church is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site, Churches and Convents of Goa. This Church is the form of a Greek Cross...a large dome with inscriptions of Gospel of Matthew. This Church of Theatine Order is a marvel to watch.

Another massive building in a quaint side street of Old Goa. Not many tourists around. The interior looks bigger than it actually is.

This tour of Panaji and Old Goa City begins at the port in Panaji, the Goa State’s capital. The Old City has a fascinating history that includes many international influences, and a few stints under colonial rule as well. You’ll visit the city’s Portuguese and Latin quarters, with time to stop into a few shops and do some window shopping as well. The tour’s highlight is the spice plantation and its grounds, filled with exotic spices – many of which are only found locally. The tour includes all entry tickets, lunch, air-conditioned transportation, and an English-speaking guide.

One of the most beautiful and grand churches in Goa👌🏻. The best thing about this place is that not many people visit this place and hence it is less crowdy and quiet😌. Loved the architecture and history of this place. There is also some ruins of an Adil Shah's palace gate, which were also beautiful. A must visit place 👍🏻👍🏻

The Church boasts a stunning aesthetic, surrounded by extensive gardens. Adjacent to the Church, there is a charming school and library that further contribute to its overall beauty.

The church is designed by Italian architects , mimicking the st. Peter’s basilica of Rome. Belong to 15th century built by the Theatines. This church is a typical example of Corinthian architecture. You get to see the magnificence inside the church . Its free to visit the church but not the convent beside .

St. Cajetan's Church is said to have been modelled on the original design of the Basilica of St.Peter in Rome.In 1639, three Italians of the Order of Theatines were sent by Pope Urban VIII to the kingdom of Golconda (near Hyderbad) to preach Christianity. They were not permitted to work in Golconda, so they came to Goa on 25th October 1640& they began the construction of a hospital but the local Viceroy stopped their activities in 1643 and asked them to leave Goa in 1645. However their leader went back to Portugal to explain to the King, Dom João IV, that it would be in the interest of Christian religion if they were allowed to work in Goa together with the Portuguese priests. Impressed by the determination of the Italian friar, the King gave permission to build the hospital in 1650. In 1655, the Theatines managed to obtain permission to build the Church and also a Convent. The construction of the Church was completed in 1661.This church is half a kilometer away to the north east of the Se Cathedral.

Well maintained and well organised church and complex near Old Goa church (Bom Jesus Basilica). Beautifully carved in terms of Classical Architecture. It has surrounded by the designed landscape by good volumes of bushes. It has the ruins of palace on one side. This place is very calm and composed.

Most beautiful and peaceful church in Goa. Trust me, I saw almost all the big churches on Google map. I loved it. The paintings are really beautiful and preserved well as compared to other churches. The roof, and walls are also well preserved. The sculptures are mind blowing. It is a must watch place if you are in Goa. The church is close to Arc of Viceroy where you can cross the river to reach Divar Island.

One of the place to check out if you're getting down from old goa ferry point since it's hardly 2mins drive from there. I'd say this adds to goa beyond beaches and most of its parts are closed for tourists due to covid and photography isn't allowed inside says a women

This is another church within walking distance from the Se Cathedral. This one is also nice but less maintained than the other two and less crowded.

Worth a quick visit after Basilica De Bom Jesus. It's a peaceful church 5-10 minutes walk from the main Basilica.

Amazing place❤ St.Cajetan is a rare and unique gem in this coastal state of India. Situated on the banks of the river Mandovi, the church was built by Italian friars of the Theatine Order.

The church is an architectural beauty on its own. The murals and carving inside are amazing. The gate of the Palace of Adil Shah kept in the premises is just a misconception as the carvings and motifs on the gate belong to a Hindu temple when seen closely. You can locate some very old and huge trees in the campus and relax under their shade on the benches available there. A must visit for all architectural beauty admirers.

It's a beautiful chapel which tourists often miss to visit. If you are visiting Basilica of Bom Jesus, do consider paying a quick visit to St. Cajetan's chapel as well. The dome like structure gives it a royal look and so do the gold plated altars. On the outside you can find the Adil shah gate, the palace to which it lead had been destroyed(not sure when).

Lesser known beautiful church in old Goa. Located about 15 minutes walk from Basilica of Bom Jesus church in old Goa , this church is not visited by many tourists. At entrance of compound of this church we can see the gate(arch) of Adil Shah palace(palace was completely demolished by Portugese and only the arch remains now). Entrance is free in this church and photography is allowed inside. This church is also very near to viceroy's arch. For travel/food pictures and information plz follow my insta account. Very beautiful church but I was amazed to see that not much people visit this church as much as the basilica de bom Jesus and se cathedral even though it is located very close to these two churches. Try to visit this church, worth every bit of your time.

The Church is dedicated to St. Cajetan the church is well maintained. It's clean. The garden too is well maintained. Besides it is the pastoral institute. Here the lay laity are given training for teaching catechism in parishes, training for Eucharistic ministers etc.

Hidden and less known gem in Goa. People know of the basilica but no idea of the mini Vatican cathedral. Well maintained and no tourist at all most of the time to take all the pictures you want and observe the beautiful Architecture.

An extremely beautiful but relatively unknown gem because it is situated a little ahead of Se Cathedral. The facade mimics that of St Peter's, Rome. The church was built by Italian friars, not by the Portuguese. Contains an impressive central dome with 2 rows of windows high up, supported on massive pillars. Also has lovely vaulted ceilings and some large paintings. A must visit after a visit to the churches of Bom Jesu, St Augustine chuch and Se Cathedral, in that order.
