My friends and I decided to meet up after a hectic week. This place did not disappoint us at all. Our server Sean was super attentive and friendly, made our dining experience exceptional. The ambiance was just what my friends and I needed. The aroma of the food was tantalizing, the sound of the music was energetic causing all my senses to come alive. I ordered the grill chicken with Arroz con gandules and my friends ordered the garlic shrimp. Both dishes were amazingly delicious. I definitely will be coming back with my family.

We have been to this new neighborhood restaurant 3 times in the past 3 weeks, and have been in love with every dish we’ve tried. The menu is inspired by homemade Spanish/Caribbean/Dominican food from what our server explained. On our first visit we tried the To Go menu. The restaurant has a To Go menu as well as a dine In menu. The To Go food is on display in a hot plate setting and the staff was very excited to explain each dish that was available. It was so nice to be able to see all of the different food and many dishes we were not familiar with. We ordered the Jerk Chicken and Fried Chicken both with rice and beans. The jerk chicken was a good portion and was flavorful and delicious. The Fried Chicken was well cooked, and with some hot sauce it was amazing. The Rice and Beans are so well seasoned, they really brought the dish together. Our second visit we sat in the restaurant. I appreciate the well lit restaurant, the booths were very comfortable and everything is clean and new. We started our meal with the vegetarian sampler, which included fried Plantains, Sweet Plantains and the STAR Of the dish FRIED CHEESE, can I just say, the cheese was so flipping good, I already couldn’t wait to go back for more. My husband ordered Ox Tails and I had the Garlic shrimp. Neither one of us had ever tried ox tails, and they were tender, had amazing seasoning and the Au Jus was delicious, we both decided it would have been awesome with some crusty bread to soak up, but since there was no bread, my husband put his rice in the dish, that was the best decision we didn’t want to waste all of that goodness. My garlic shrimp were probably some of the best seasoned shrimp I’ve had from a restaurant. If you love garlic and shrimp, you will love this Dish. I also added my Rice to the garlic sauce, perfect combo. Our third visit (kicking myself for not getting pictures) we sat at the bar. The stools were comfortable, the music is catchy but a little loud. The bartender was very nice, and explained some of the specialty drinks. We ordered the Dominican Sampler and Cheesy Potato Sticks. The sampler included Tostones, sweet plantains, boneless fried chicken, chicharron (fried pork belly), fried salami, and fried cheese. Everything was delicious especially the fried pork belly, which the bartender let us know you can order on its own, which we will definitely be doing to get a larger portion. The cheesy potato sticks were so crispy on the outside and creamy potato cheese goodness on the inside. Both came with a simple sauce. For dinner my husband had the grilling marinade chicken that he was throughly impressed with. I had the Roasted Pork, it was so tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. We are excited to try more things on the menu. They have a parking lot behind the building if there isn’t any parking available on the Street.

Oh man if you're looking for good Spanish Caribbean food, this is the place!! The Pernil was out of this world & so was my wife's chicken dish!! This is how this style of food should be cooked, top notch stuff!! Our meals came with rice & I ordered a side of Maduros, all delicious!! Our server was friendly & attentive & he made sure our 2 year old son was well taking care of, kudos!! We can't wait to go back & try other menu options!!

With the vibrant music playing, you enjoy an El Presidente or Modelo and you are in heaven!! The atmosphere makes it impossible to leave , so order the Homemade Flan or the Tres Leches Cake. If you like food with Flavor, authenticity, and passion, Let me tell you about Caribe! Just had an amazing dinner at Caribe Restaurant and Sports Bar in Schenectady, NY. 🇵🇷 and 🇩🇴. The Caribbean food was flavorful and authentic, and the service was top-notch, thanks to our hostess Maggie! We highly recommend the Pepper Steak Caribbean style (Bistec a la Salsa) with Rice and Pigeon peas (Arroz con Gandules), as well as the Mofongo (Fried green Plantains Mashed) with Pernil (Quality Roasted Pork). The Alcapurria appetizers were also amazing & flavorful. Try with a dab of Hot Sauce 😉 It's a family-friendly restaurant with high chairs, a cool Instagram wall to capture memories, and convenient hours - they're only closed on Monday's. Whether you're a vacationer staying at The Mansion at Rebecca's Fountain or a local looking for great food, Caribe is a must-try.... oh, desert? Yes! Try the delicious Carrot cake or the authentic Flan. Highly recommend. These flavors will make your taste buds dance a joy you have never experienced before. We go now bi monthly as they never disappoint. Give your tongue this special experience. Thank me later. #ShopLocal #SchenectadyNY #CaribbeanFood #MustTry #Deliciousfood

Very nice little spot off Broadway. May be the best Jerked Chicken I’ve ever had and I’m a big fan of Jerked Chicken. Definitely check them out.

The restaurant was clean and welcoming. It is family owned. Very friendly and accomadting. The food was magnificent! Although a little pricey it was worth the price. The portions was good and made to order. I have already recommended it to other family members and I was just there an hour ago. Highly recommend Caribe for anyone looking for authentic spanish food.

This was our first experience with Carribean food and this place was amazing! From the awesome servers to the delicious food! We had almost every type of Canastas de Tostones (minus the shrimp), the Pollo Guisado and the Pernil. Every single dish was chef's kiss! Full of flavour in every bite. We wanted to try the desserts but were too full. Can't wait to return for more!

10/10 experience. Our dishes were packed with flavor and color, and the inside of the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, is clean, and is nicely decorated. Our server Kriss was fantastic, can't wait to come back!

I went there and got this steak-saucey-stew on yellow rice with pigeon peas, along with fried plantains (tostones) with a splash of this garlic sauce (mojito). It was superb. Especially, since I washed it all down with an ice-cold Dr. Pepper. There's a nice combination of meals and sides, along with different sauces and spreads. Theres also a hreat selection of desserts. The place is very cozy (see pictures). There's a decent bar with a nice assortment of spirits. The upstarts is quite spacious and comfy. There's music and three 75 inch tvs on different channels. What I liked best was the outside patios, where you can enjoy a nice breeze while you eat. Enjoy.

They always treat like family. It's a great place to bring your family for dinner or just hang out with your wife and friends. Thanks again, Caribe. My wife and I had a great time.

This is one of the best Spanish spots we’ve eaten at. Clean friendly and the food omg soooo good. I got the stewed chicken which brought me back to my childhood when my best friends grandma would make stewed chicken in the cold winter nights. My husband got breaded steak. Definitely better than country fried it was filled with flavor and had the best dipping sauce! Our waitress kryss was great! She was very friendly and service was fast! The el caribe which is their signature drink let’s just say my husband has more than one! The tres leche was moist and delicious as well! Perfect ending to a great meal! We will definitely be back!

Honestly, I was surprised that this place has been around for 10 months already! This place is a hidden gem and EVERYONE should stop in and give it a try. The food is immaculate, I ordered the Oxtails with rice and peas, both were perfectly spiced and cooked well. The rice was well seasoned and the meat was tender and flavorful. The drinks are fun and fruity, very reasonably priced especially if you catch happy hour. Matt, our server, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure the service and food were to my standards. This place feels like coming home after a long trip, and the entire staff works hard to make you feel welcomed. 10/10 rating and I will definitely be eating here again .

Matt was a great server! He went above & beyond, was very patient & informative, and enthusiastic & made the whole vibe right!🤩 aside from outstanding service, the food was impeccable. I decided to give mofongos a try and was very good (first time having it). The pepper steak was delicious and both the chicken & beef empanada. Their garlic sauce I could eat with salads, veggies, food etc👌🏽 my friend enjoyed her boneless stew chicken mofongo and the happy hour is good too.
