Pagliai's Pizza catered our retirement lunch for our teachers and staff. The food was on time and hot. Everyone loved the choices and how the food tasted. We will definitely use Pagliai's Pizza again.

Paglaia's pizza is so much tastier when enjoyed in house. Tuesday has a special, so the dining area was full, but the servers had perfected their running technique. New menus that looked easily sanitized. I sure would have preferred to have prices on them, though. Too many people here are budget wise and need the prices up-front.

I heard a alot of good things about this place. We tried the pizza and wings last night and was very disappointed. The wings tasted as if they were frozen wings from Tyson with nothing added. This was by far the worst wings I have had at any pizza joint. The pizzas was underwhelming. The mushrooms had an odd taste and the thin crust signature pepperoni pizza was not crispy as I think of thin crust and the texture was off for me. I normally will give a place 2 times and will eventually but will be a while before I can do that. The service was great just wished the food last night matched.

Waited for over an hour for our pizza. When it arrived it was completely wrong. The waitress was not very friendly or polite. We paid for the salads and ice tea but returned the pizza. Didn’t wanted to wait another hour for a replacement. We also told the manager who seemed very annoyed with the situation. Not sure if she was angry with us or her server. We have been going to Pagliais since the 1970’s. The service and food are usually good but definitely not today! It will be a while before we return. **Edit As stated in her response, It was the owner not the manager who acted annoyed and spoke rudely to my husband. Definitely not the service or quality that is generally expected at this restaurant Again it will be a while before we return. No one pays to go out to eat and be treated poorly.

I was debating on three or four stars. The service was so good you see the result. We ordered a couple of pizzas. Both thin crust. The house pizza with sausage, onions and green peppers and the chicken ranch pizza. I preferred the house pizza. We ordered a couple of breadsticks for the grand baby. I will say, the marinara that came with them was fantastic! Tangy, complex with the right amount of salt. Really good.

Pagliai's pizza is absolutely delicious!! Located in the heart of Carbondale IL. This pizza joint isn't afraid to give great customer service!! We got salads and 2 different pizzas. The thin crust is delicious!! Amazing friendly staff and prompt service!! 5 stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Pizza was hot Waitress never asked us if we wanted a refill or if we needed anything else Nothing special Went a 4 pm ON THE DAY OF THIS POST. Two other tables had customers AGAIN WAITRESS NEVER ASKED US IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING OR A REFILL ON OUR DRINKS. LEFT US OUR TICKET NEVER CAME BACK. KEPT STARING UP AT CASH REGISTER ANOTHER WAITRESS ASKED US IF WE WANTED A BOX FOR OUR LEFT OVER PIZZA. LEFT A SMALL TIP AND LEFT.

Been visiting Pag's for almost 40 years and I'm astonished at the consistency of their pizza over 4 decades. Always great service and food - kudos to the management staff and all the hundreds of SIU students that have worked there to keep Pag's as one of the best pizza spots in the midwest!!

If you have not yet tried Pagliai's Big Red, you are missing a delightful treat. Expect 5 star flavor and a very full tummy. Exceptionally courteous staff.

I had the large thin crust pepperoni, absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back repeatedly! Service is excellent !

The food is delicious and the staff is very welcoming. I would go again and would recommend Pagliai's to a friend. I ordered a couple of pizzas for friends and everybody enjoyed it!

This is our second visit. The pizza is great. We also shared a chef Italian Salad. Very good. Service is friendly and prompt. We will be going back.

My favorite pizza ever! I have been eating Pags pizza for about 50 years now. Thick and chewy Canadian bacon and extra cheese. I love the owners and the pizza!!!! I recommend it all the time.

I came all the way from Chicago and told them several times about how excited I was to eat pag's. The guy didn't give me even an "of yeah?" much less a "thanks for being a customer". Pizza is no longer cut in squares, either. It was a disappointment 😥

Went with a group. Had the Joe's special. It was awesome!! Everyone seemed pleased with their orders. The house cabernet was priced well and very good!

Ordered the pan, thick crust, chewy pizza with pepperoni and ground beef. Pizza and sauce were amazing !!! Very delicious….we were in town on a camping trip and found this place on Google……was not disappointing. Will definitely be back !!!!

Awesome place to host an event! Food was perfect, our server Clair took great care of us. Melissa was very responsive with emails and calls regarding the set up for our party. 5/5 definitely recommend, and always love the pizza, so would recommend for any day of the week!

Picked up 2 "half-baked and frozen" pizzas to finish baking an hour later. Fabulous pizzas even when prepared this way. Very convenient.

I have heard several people say the food here was delicious. I truly enjoyed the food and experience. I ordered a hand tossed like crust and it was a little thicker than I personally like. Next time I will go thinner. I got all vegetable and it was DELICIOUS!!

Huge bummer. Pizza is okay, wings are frozen, soggy, no flavor. The major downside is the rude customer service. Wanted to support local but we won’t be back after two bad experiences.

Great pizza! I had never tried the deap dish and it was really good. They were a little short staffed so the wait time was longer than usual. But we will definitely return soon!

Pepperoni and pineapple thick crust pizza was OK, not great. Garlic Cheese sticks were really good. Service was good, but when it was time to pay the bill it was confusing. We had 4 couples and rather than put each on separate tickets they just had us go up to the register and tell them what we had, then on the way out the door we were stopped and told 2 beers and a soda weren't paid for. We had all paid for everything we ordered. A different person seemed to ring up each of us and it just seemed like staff was having trouble keeping everything straight. They were all very nice though and food came out correct and quickly after ordering.

First time trying Pagliai's overall great service and the pizza was amazing. Only complaint I have is the chicken wings weren't good at all. The breading was falling off and just not spicy at all.
