The food was good. We were 6 and tried 7 of the foods on the menu. Except for the the sea bass which was salty and Portugues steak which came out cold and very hard the rest of us were over all happy with our meals. The main problem was the service. The food came out late and they refused to change the channel for us to watch the game we were half way through watching. We complained a few times but other than sorry we got nothing…

Served my dinner 1h late, the starters came after the main dish. It’s affordable but really not worth it, the drinks are okey. The staff tried to make it seem less horrible with trying to be polite or make jokes but this makes it even worse because it comes off as annoying and not as helpful. The pizza was sweet ?? The fries were soppy, they try to lure you in when you walk past. It’s a great place for drinks and to watch football, nothing more.

if i could give 0 stars i would. pizzas had some sort of bbq sauce instead of tomato sauce, the pasta carbonara was disappointing and one of us had to wait until all the others were done with their food to get her meal and when she got it half was cold and half was hot, as if it was microwaved. also we only got our appetizers after our main meal, because they forgot it.

Arrived late in Cascais and this was the only place where we could have dinner at 22:30. A very warm welcome, lively terrace with entertainment and very well looked after.

The service was great. Everything was very punctual. The food was awesome too. I recommend to try the non-alcoholic cocktail San Francisco. It is a mix of different juices. For those who love juice, it is good. The restaurant is spacious. There is space upstairs and outside. Even though there are a lot of restaurants around I don't regret the choice I made.

Aggressive staff, rude, we sat for 1h, the food didn't arrive and the waiter still wanted us to pay for it and he threatened to call the police. He literally grabbed my arm to prevent me from leaving and I thought I would have to fight him to leave, however he took his hand off me when I hit his arm to let me go. Disgusting behaviour from the waiter, avoid at all cost. If you have problems, ask for the Livro de Reclamações (complaints book) and write a complaint there and then.

The only reason I give two star and not one is because the service was good and the waiters were friendly ,I ordered the sardines and the were horrible not fresh ,dry and overgrilled and there is no excuse for this in a fishing town. Also I was charged 4,50 euros for a standard glass of white wine and 2,85 euros for two 50 gram bread rolls wich in a bakery cost 18 cents, but that I can cope with. In sume bad food for turists that dont know what they are eating.

We stopped at Palm Tree after a day at the beach in Cascais, and over a week in the Lisbon area. This was by far the best dinner of our trip. The staff were helpful, with just the perfect amount of attentiveness. We tried the Cinnamon Sour which is a very interesting but good version of a whiskey sour. For dinner, both the beef risotto and the filet mignon were delicious. Unfortunately this is our last night in the area, but otherwise we would absolutely consider coming back! Edit to add: Looking back at some of the old reviews it definitely appears that they are under new management with lots of positive changes. Don’t let those dissuade you from eating here.

Absolutely the best meal we have ever had! Salt crusted sea bass, Parmesan cheese wheel pasta with chicken and truffles. Amazing service and food!

The Octopus (Polvo A Lagareiro) was excellent. As was the Seafood with Rice. The Service from Peter was truly outstanding. Food was delivered extremely fast too.

This restaraunt (its kind of like a chain as all the restaurant are side by side and are ran the same way) is pretty average. The food can take a long time to be served and doesn't look entirely appealing. It can be a bit expensive concerning the portion being served and some of the waiters have sad looks on their faces. I wouldn't really recommend if you are looking to have a peaceful dining experience but if you want traditional portuguese food and a social atmosphere then this is the place for you.

Experienced this restaurant based on our Exoticca tour guide's recommendation. The patio venue for a party of 5 on a beautiful February sunny and warm afternoon lunch was a wonderful treat after a long morning touring. Food was excellent and fairly priced but was ruined by a VERY POOR STAFF Service. Seafood risotto, baked cream cod w cheese, octopus dish (perfectly tender) were prepared well and very tasty. Unfortunately, the waiter's poor service resulted in one meal being forgotten, the same person's delivered wrong meal, missed taking complete table orders, repeated requests for menues, drinks, missed desserts, missed coffees.... overall, a great experience destroyed! Our request for separate bills resulted in total confusion with overcharges and items on the wrong bill. We refuse to pay for items not ordered and need to be adjusted. Our tour guide supported our complaints and brought our concerns to staff. Others on our group tour also experienced the same staff issues and were also disappointed. Check out the Chequers restaurant nearby.... I would surely NOT recommend thePalm Tree!

I hate writing bad reviews, but it’s the worst place in Cascais so far. We waited 40 minutes for the food, reminding the manager several times. He promised to bring a starter while we wait, but never did. The “premium” lemonade is too sour, but the worst part was when the food finally arrived - it was bad. The “octopus rice” was just a mess.. We were offered a discount for waiting, but I don’t think it helped :( You really should not go here.

I had an exceptional dining experience at this wonderful Portuguese restaurant in Cascais! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service provided by Candido and his team was top-notch. The authentic flavors and warm atmosphere made for a memorable evening. I can't wait to return and savoury more of their delightful dishes! Fully recommend!

Got one beer and first batch of drinks very fast, but then… Waited more than an hour, no food, no more water and tea which we ordered, we had to leave and took the food to go. Very unfortunate. UPD: pasta which we got as a takeaway was actually nice, so I have to increase the rating of the food now. Also overall service was quite friendly, just veery slow, it looked like they forgot about our order and didn’t really care about what we ordered.

Although I’ve been living in Cascais almost 3 months, it was a friend from Lisbon who led me to the Palm Tree. I was skeptical at first, because it was a bit close to touristy restaurants, but I have to say I was tremendously impressed by the service from Rodrigo, the food and the overall value. Rodrigo recommended that we split the prime steak, which was sliced and very tasty. We had a side salad, and a side of vegetables, which was more than enough food. Rodrigo, our waiter was totally professional, always available, but not over-bearing. I now have a new place to eat in Cascais.

I recommend not go to this restaurant. We booked a table for the 31st of December for 13 people over the phone. We wasn’t aware of any deals over the phone or any queries about if there was any allergies etc. There was one vegetarian in our group and she was treated badly. She didn’t get her food on time, and it was the wrong food that came also and after everyone was finished. Our food was served very late, one after the other. Our dinner wasn’t even finished and they were asking us for payment of 65€ per person instead of asking after we were finished or at the beginning. They said it was open bar and drinks were included in our menu. Then they brought another bill asking us to pay an extra 126€ —- Bad service… never coming here again

We enjoyed the Chicken Piri-Piri. As i have a peppers allergy, the waiter told he will make one without peppers! And it was everything without peppers! So we had a great time her! Thank you very much.

Was called to eat at this restaurant and sat here for 15 minutes completely ignored. Standard service as usual. Walked out. Rude black lady working there. What this restaurant doesnt realize is that just because we expats have no ey doesn't mean we give money out for no service. Disgusting money pit and they should be closed!

Extremely slow service, it took more than 30 minutes to serve me. Thankfully it was worth the wait, the arroz de marisco was insanely delicious but that was the first and only arroz marisco I had... So I do not know if the dish was in general so tasty.

This is my favorite place when I want to combine excellent food with friendly staff and sports events on TV. Not to mention the very fair prices!!! The owner is always at hand also, so be sure that you'll have a good experience.

It was terrible. We wait 1h and half to have Grilled Sardines and Italian salad.. It was not good at all and expensive for the taste, the quantity and the Service quality. I don't recommend this address.

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
