I stayed in The Pergola for two weeks - it is simply an exceptional hotel and I could not recommend it more highly. The staff would not be more helpful with recommendations for restaurants and trips to make. The breakfast is the best with fresh fruit juices, granola and yogurt with more fruits, followed by a selection of eggs etc. The gardens are a delight on a hot day to relax and read or to enjoy an aperitif later in the day. It was a memorable stay and I could not recommend it more highly to anyone seeking a quality stay.

Recently reopened after renovation Pergola Boutique Hotel is an oasis in the centre of Cascais. Under the careful tutelage of Mariana the hotel is fast developing a reputation for high quality, attentive and discrete service for discerning clients looking for something extra. The breakfast menu reflects this: healthy, tasty and visually appealing. Nothing is too much trouble. I was entertaining a friend to lunch and, as the hotel is at present only B&B, Mariana and Goncalo arranged for a local restaurant to deliver petiscos which we thoroughly enjoyed on the terrace. The hotel has retained its natural charm and original features don't expect luxurious rooms with deep carpets.

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff and very attentive service. I stayed here for a couple nights ahead of my wedding in August and hosted my bridal brunch here in the garden. I worked with Mariana and Miguel who were both very helpful in setting up the event. The food was also fresh and delicious - I Can definitely recommend Pergola for a stay or an intimate event!

Rooms are really small, no privacy between the bed and bathroom, divided by a sliding glass door....also there is a massive gap under the entrance door that doesnt isolate any sound, allowing a cold draft in from the corridor. No spoons to stir coffee/tea or even a bottle opener. Check in way too long, not ideal after travelling. Noisy cleaning staff, constant loud steps up and down the stairs, unfortunately we could even hear staff conversations on the phone loudspeaker. Nice setting for Breakfast out in the garden but again, everything very slow, the waiter taking our order left us talking to ourselves while taking the order to go elsewhere to do god knows what, we were left puzzled by this. Fantastic property and location but not worth the money, there are plenty of better places around for the same or even less of the amount paid. Didn't feel welcoming whatsoever, 1st and last stay, I'm afraid.

What an amazing find! Conveniently located just 1 block from the train station in Cascais, this lovely boutique hotel is located on a quiet street only two blocks from the center of the town. The rooms here are large and the furnishings are nice. The innkeeper, Francisco and his lovely wife will go out of there way to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The breakfasts, included in the price, are simply amazing. We look forward to returning soon! Please note that they will be closing for renovations beginning sometime in December and are planning on reopening in March.

Da Pergola was one of the best accommodation experiences we had while in Portugal! From the gorgeous historic building to the lush garden and restaurant out front, the entire space is incredibly well designed and beautifully furnished. The guest lounge on the second floor is laid out like a traditional living room, and is lined in the most beautiful wall-to-wall blue and white custom tiles in the Portuguese hand-painted style. While our second-story room was quite modestly sized it was clean and neat and quiet with good morning light. We did not miss having a television and we felt like we had all of the comforts we might need for a short stay. The WhatsApp concierge made it possible to quickly communicate with the front desk, and we appreciated their assistance on more than one occasion. Cascais itself surprised us as an incredibly idyllic place. From the softly lapping waves at the small cove beaches to the dramatic crashing waves at Boca do Inferno and the winding streets lined with restaurants and small shops we found our stay to be incredibly charming. After having seen much of the entire center of town area on foot we are convinced that Da Pergola is the gem at the center. Perhaps the highlight for us was simply the level of service and attention to detail on the guest experience. Our stay was at the end of a 10-day trip to Portugal so while we had already seen plenty of generous and warm hospitality throughout our trip, the staff at Da Pergola really exceeded our expectations. We particularly enjoyed speaking with Anas at the reception desk - he not only assisted us with recommendations for where to watch the sunset, and things to do, but he also took a genuine interest in us and made us feel much more like we were guests being welcomed into somebody's home rather than simply guests at a hotel. Incredibly thoughtfully, he made sure to set aside some "to-go" breakfast bags for us when we had to leave earlier than breakfast service the next morning. Just unparalleled hospitality!

We loved our stay here. The staff was kind and attentive, and the property is beautiful! Would definitely recommend, and we will come back next time we’re in Cascais.

Lovely location and we were looking forward to our stay. The courtyard is beautiful and the building has a lot of character. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant operates right outside some of the bedroom windows until 11.30pm which means there was a lot of noise in our room and kept us awake. Best that reception could offer was some earplugs which was pretty disappointing. Apparently complaints have been made about this multiple times to management but it's still an issue. Would not recommend, seems as though the restaurant is more important than paying hotel guests!

Stunning hotel in the centre of beautiful Cascais. The garden area and cocktail bar are wonderful and the staff were helpful and welcoming. The newly renovated rooms are sparse but that’s fine as you spend the days outside walking or on the beach.

Super clean, great room, very quite, and wow what a location, great for shopping and dinning all sorts of shops like, Boss and many others, the restaurants, well ill put it this way, what ever you want to eat pretty much is right around you just turn around and you'll see it, overall great experience.

Loved my stay at The Pergola. Gonzalo was so friendly and helpful throughout. The hotel itself is a cute boutique hotel with a beautiful garden. Breakfast is also included. There was something that happened during breakfast that made the experience not great but Gonzalo made a huge effort to fix this. Not his fault or the fault of the hotel. I’d definitely be back again just from his great service.

We spent a lovely few days at this hotel. Breakfast was outside and service was pretty slow but we were in no rush! There could have been bit more options but everything we were served was good quality. Rooms are basic but clean and bed comfortable. Location is excellent and we walked everywhere. I would definitely recommend

The Pergola Boutique Hotel is simply delightful. The accommodation is simple yet thoughtful. Rustic and charming yet elegant. Delicious and healthy breakfast options. My only regret is that my stay here was shortened because my flight delayed.

We met a staff of four which were all gracious and helpful. The place is spotless and breakfast beautifully served in sunshine in small garden. Don’t know how I would feel about dining inside!! We booked Delux Superior which I’m sorry to say “ not So”. My friends room on arrival was such.. no wardrobe( accommodating clothes was a steel frame ,open shelf for clothes , no mirror, Bathroom ,no cabinets or window and very poor appearance, bedroom window overlooking roof of other buildings. Requested change and received one similar to mine. Whilst a lot better these rooms,in my opinion, are not Delux Superior or even superior. it’s a stay for persons on active holiday. The garden is small so the beach is now the only other place for relaxation. I do hope attention will be given to garden,as some sowing and tidying is needed. No staff after 5pm so a drink etc not available!! If you reserve ,make sue you know your room! The room(suite) we visited, had a lovely balcony and bathroom…this is the One.👌 OURS 😔
