Fantastic food, a fantastic experience! We found this restaurant a day earlier but without reservation we had no chance since the owners want to treat each customer individually and keep their quality high. So we came the next day and we were amazed by the extraordinary food. Everything was delicious. Due to a recommendation by the owner (a woman who speaks several languages!) we started with a warm salat with mushrooms which was very tasty. The main dishes as well as the desert were also really good. The restaurant has a great variety of (local) beers to offer. The location is just perfect! It might be a little difficult to get there but the panoramic view from the restaurant and the surrounding village is just amazing so it's totally worth it. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. Considering the high quality of food and service the prices are absolutely reasonable. Thank you for this great experience!

I would have given more stars if was possible. I was on a trip with my family in Italy and we are at some nice restaurants which we thought would not be able to be topped but then we went to a simple looking restaurant with a classic design and we didn’t have high expectations or any expectations at all, We sat at the restaurant after being greeted by the amazing staff, we sat at our table by the window and we saw the lake from the top of the mountain and we ate our food. Although we had low expectations that was the best food we ate the entire trip. In conclusion: great view, amazing staff and delicious food. Would come again next time I’m in the area and if you are looking for somewhere to eat you should 100% eat at Cardini.

Amazing meal all the way around. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Wine prices were extremely reasonable. Highly recommend and worth the trip up the mountain.

We had the loveliest last meal of our holiday here! Incredible view, great food and the staff are really lovely. Very reasonable wine prices and a nice little limoncello to finish! Would highly recommend!

Another Gem of a Restaurant in Stresa, an area known as Someraro just up the hill, great views, great food, indoor and outdoor dining.

Tryed to get a table, last night. The restaurant was full, but met with a very curt and unfriendly dismissal by an older lady who I presume to be the proprietor. One of only two restaurants within walking distance from where we are staying. We instead drove to the "Osteria Mercato" which served excellent imaginative food with attentive well mannered staff

Just delicious! Lovely people, amazing and generous food with fresh seasonal products from the region. And the view on the lake and the mountains is very beautiful. I highly recommend it !!

Possibly the best food on Lago Maggiore. Should really have a Michelin star. Lovely service. The owner speaks at least 5 languages fluently. Amazing original dishes and desserts. A taste experience you will never forget.

We had a wonderful lunch on the terrace at Cardini with a superb view of Lake Maggiore with our three children aged 6, 8 and 9. We were made to feel very welcome and the children were given pencils for colouring in whilst they waited for the food. The food was absolutely delicious! We would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant!

I rarely write reviews, but I had to with this place. A little gem. The food is fantastic. The bread given at the beginning wasn’t stale as with most other Italian restaurants. The risotto and cavatelli pasta dishes were delicious. My only criticism of the food is that the cavatelli portion was on the smaller side, but taste made up for it. House red wine was superb and very reasonably priced. View overlooking the lake was a bonus. Be warned, you probably need a car to get there and the roads near the top are narrow. Limited parking spaces too. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there, great value, highly recommend.

Great restaurant with a vast selection offering quite a few vegetarian options too! The food was very flavourful, tasty and fresh. The restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains. Also, the hosts were very helpful and warm :)

This is a MUST restaurant to go to if you are in the area. Views are amazing and the service was top notch. Now if to speak about the food I have to say that taste wise everything were great insane!!

Wonderful experience. Highly recommended for any occasion! Really great menu, well prepared and served in an elegant atmosphere without being stuffy. Good wine selection too!

I rarely leave reviews but when I do, it is for something special. Special like Cardini. Gorgeous view paired with delicious food. Once I finished the starter I knew the food to follow was going to be great. As a South African, we have high standards when it comes to meat which was met. After the main I grew excited. Could they finish off with the trifecta... splendid!!! I am so happy to visit this wonderful restaurant. If I ever am back in town I will be visiting Cardini.
