👍👍 Great food and lovely brewery. Excellent selection of beers and ciders. I particularly appreciated the nonalcoholic (0.5%) beers on tap. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, with lots of sitting space. People often mention great, lovely, Great, beers, good, beer, drinks, service, nice, order,

My daughters wedding had been cancelled 3 times due to covid . Finally we had a date this last Saturday on 29th May . We had to greatly reduce the numbers and find a venue. The brewhouse were just amazing and with a few tweaks and decorations made this into a perfect wedding venue . Thank you especially to Emma for taking this on . It looked awesome. Thank you too to Sheree and John ( deputy managers) for being so lovely and accommodating. An awsome day.

Easy to find, lots of parking, standard pub food experience. It has a fantastic location inside of Sophia gardens, surrounded by lovely walks and sports facilities, and also has plenty of parking. The pub has plenty of outdoor seating both covered and uncovered, as well as a lovely conservatory alongside the original pub. Beers brewed in-house, interesting deco, easy to order via the app.

Stopped off for a pit stop. Haven't been here for years. I think it used to be called something else. My brother treated me to a meal, and my 10oz steak was beautifully succulent, tender, and moist. I highly recommend this establishment for good food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Nice place, good beer, £12.50 for chicken tender loin between two buns ruined my day

Lovely pub close to the National Express Coach Station with a lovely look and vibe. The staff are friendly and accommodating. My one gripe, and it’s a big one, their presecco prices are the highest in the area which made stopping here for drinks on a regular basis, cost prohibitive. The Cricketers is far better priced.

Was waiting for the roast for 2hrs. Everytime we went to the bar to order they would keep insisting that it would be a further 20 minutes until we can order; which happened multiple times. When we were finally able to order it they were rude and didn't offer any compliments for inconvenience. Once the food arrived a hair was found in one of our meals, the meat was chewy and the potato's were soggy. Then to top all of this off the glass in which they gave us one of drinks in was ridden with lipstick. Won't be returning for the roast ever again which is a shame because the first time I had it, it was really good.

This was our first visit to Cardiff and the Brewhouse. Our waitress was helpful and patient. Our beers and spirits were great. Our dishes (we ordered 7) were all delicious.

Nice Sunday lunch, vegan options and a great place to shelter from the rain for a couple of hours.

Rick and his team looked after us for our Christmas party and the service was impeccable. We were given heaters, blankets and hot water bottles for the pretty outside area we’d reserved. Despite the raging weather outside we were warm, safe and had a wonderful time. Thanks Rick and team. We had the best evening!

We came there for lunch. Beautiful environment. About food, we ordered 3 small plates and 1/4 chicken set plus drinks. They were all delicious. Couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend.

We were there yesterday (visiting from London) and even though it was a rugby day and very full, the service was really excellent! Good honest food as you’d expect. Deffo recommend

We did the beer and whiskey masterclass and it was brilliant. A nice variety of beers and whiskey with explanations of each. The food after was also good.

Great pub right in the gardens. Food was spot on and the beer choice is insane. Team were all so happy and helpful. Thank you we’ll be back again

So I found myself and my family wandering around Cardiff on Fathers day and looking for something to eat. We stopped off in Brewhouse and after looking at the menu decided to eat here. Initially we thought that it was closed as nobody was about and very nearly left but then as if by magic the barmaid appeared. Anyway she was very apologetic as she had been cleaning out back. No problem we thought and ordered our food. It turned up very quickly and I have to say the burgers were really nice and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside . I would go so far as to day it was as good as anything 5 guys have to offer at a fraction of the price.

Very good pub, always busy. The truth is that it was too busy for the amount of staff working behind the bar taking orders, food was lovely but a little slow due to having to wait 20 minutes to be served at the bar.

Not a great experience. Phoned in a booking days ago to be told no table available until 7.45, which is later than we wanted, to find pretty much all tables empty. After an hour we had to chase our food. Which then appeared almost immediately. It had obviously been kept under the lights the coleslaw was as hot as the chips. I could go on but I really can't be bothered. Suffice to say. Just don't bother. Save your money and go somewhere nice.

Christmas Eve meal with the family and I have to say what a disappointment, lack of basics in customer service. Sat around waiting despite booking a table not knowing if they would take our order or we had to go to the bar, no children’s menu and certain meals on main menu not available. Food was adequate at best and no one came to ask if we wanted dessert or coffees, I’m not surprised the place was emptying by 18:30. An example of the child’s meal (Mac & Cheese see photo) £6 , I’ve been before but this was totally unacceptable.

Great selection of craft beer. Their stout Tiger Bay is one of the best I've tried. The female manager was very easy going and catered for our small group very well. Although the place was very busy the staff coped well and we did not have to wait for table or drinks. That was very refreshing. Easily our number 1 choice in Cardiff, we shall return very soon!

Great service, great food and good portion sizes, plenty of beers and ciders available, try before you buy too, beer and food pairings so to make sure you have the right beer to complement your pallet. Great place to chill with a few or a party as buffet menu available also, cheeky little gem in the heart of Cardiff.

A nice start to a Rugby experience with lunch and drinks at this microbrewery. The food was nice and the on tap beer options would take a while to get through as well. We were definitely amazed seeing these giant glasses being poured - turns out to be a creative sharing system.

Could be a great place! Nice location with a good range of beers and ciders, just a shame that they'd run out of most of them🙄 It was a really hot day, so we sat at a table outside, shaded by the trees in the front garden and enjoyed a pint of cold lager. The menu had a decent range of tapas, so we thought we would have a lunchtime snack to accompany our drinks. You would think this was a fairly reasonable request for a pub that sells food, but apparently not! When I went to the bar to order the food I was told that if I wanted eat I had to leave my table and either eat indoors or in another area at the back of the pub which was already full of other customers 🙄 I asked for an explanation of exactly why this was the case and was told by the manager that it was "company policy" It was too hot a day to bother with arguing, so we went somewhere more accommodating for our lunch😁 Only in Britain!

It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing beers, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Hot summer day but the food from the bbq was absolutely amazing! Chef Mike was an absolute gem on the Bbq.

We had our company Christmas Do here this past weekend. The staff were really helpful and welcoming, with great communication to ensure we had a great time. There were 41 in our party and they gave us our own private space which was fantastic. The food was excellent and the service was efficient. Everyone I have spoken with from the event has shared in this feeling and would gladly visit again next year. Thank you :)

Always really friendly, to our doggy too. We love that fact we can skate around Bute and come here for delicious food and drink. Our dog loves her own fresh drinking bowl and homemade dog treats they make.

Booking a table was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The allergy menu was useful to determine what was dairy free. Alas the choice of dairy free dishes was woeful: about three in total, and NO deserts. Why do all the Sunday roasts contain dairy products?

Had an Xmas 3 course meal on 2nd Dec for a party of 2. Overall it was a very lovely evening. Great atmosphere and service, but the main course wasn't served very hot, and was lacking taste/quality which I have no doubt if I would have asked, the staff would have remedied. But this is why I rated food down. The outdoor seating with the fires and heaters were perfect, there was offers of hot water bottles and blankets also!...this made up for the main course not quite being up to expectations. I already plan to go back!
