Great sports bar in downtown Cardiff, right across the street from Cardiff Castle. Wide selection of beers & pub food available. Very friendly staff & lots of TV's to watch sports. Highly recommend the Bale Ale, Gareth Bale's own beer.

I went here recently for the first time in a while. It was OK but I wasn't a fan of the maitre de kind of welcome you get (being asked if you have a reservation/seen to your table) or the system of no bar service. Everything goes through a QR code on your table which didn't work for half of the guys in my group. Just seems a bit formal for my liking. It was much better previously where it was more a traditional sports bar

Brilliant place to watch the footie. Great quality screens all over so very good views of the game wherever you sit. Added fun is the cool signed shirts and other sporting memorabilia on the walls. Very friendly and efficient staff.

We took our son for his 10th birthday and a member of staff called Ryan has created a moment that my son will never forget. Ryan was brilliant with everything but what he did for my boy goes above and beyond. Coming to the table with a Gareth Bale signed photo to give him left him emotionally broken with joy. Ryan, we will never forget what you did for our son on his birthday. Bale is Tyler's hero and the only way it could have been any better would be to meet the man himself. We have spent loads on presents for his birthday but this moment from Ryan is priceless. Thank you so much.

Awesome bar. Loads of sport and TV screens, plenty of seating and friendly staff. The food was fantastic especially the pizza I had. One of the best bars we visited on our stag do weekend in Cardiff, I definitely recommend checking it out.

Once met big man Gazza in this pub. Queue for three hours. Lovely man and got a signed short from the goat Welsh baller. He radiated goat energy. Really big guy and looks like he is partial to a scrap. The greatest of all time.

Watched the F1 here. Great experience overall. Only minor issue I had was that you weren't allowed to order from the bar and had to order from QR code but food and drinks were quick and good value!

Nice food, decent atmosphere ... There was a very loud woman with a voice like an angry seagull, but I don't feel like that was Gareth bales fault, so it won't affect how I feel about the experience or the rating I feel it deserves. Will go back again at some point I imagine. Ta

Good atmosphere for the sports fan. Good value food and wide drink selection. You will need to book at busy times.

Awful bar - we came here as a stag to watch the football on a Sunday. The place has absolutely zero atmosphere, disinterested bar staff, they don’t turn up the volume for matches, and the drinks are SO expensive. The pints are on par with what you would pay in London or Dublin. Couldn’t wait to leave, the whole ordering on an app thing was terrible for groups also. Not to mention the pints were absolutely dead and of really poor quality. Do not waste your time

Great sports bar with big screens and a upstairs and downstairs seating areas. With multiple screens and divided areas it allows different sports to be played. The food was decent and a great atmosphere

Tables booked for my nephews 21st birthday .. lovely atmosphere food was delicious .. service was ok, but this is no reflection on the staff but there should have been more the young boys that served us were rushed off their feet and the one in particular seemed a bit stressed .. the app to order food/drinks should be looked at because they didn't seem to know who was ordering what when they were bringing it to our table but apart from that it was generally a really good day and would definitely return

Went to watch a footy game here, plenty of large screens through out, all drinks and food ordered from app at table, food was really good and there is lots of great sporting memorabilia on the walls. Nice to see Gareth Bale a local Cardiff lad investing and creating jobs etc for his home City.

It's fine here, great for sport, but having had such a fondness for Dempseys (it's prior incarnation) it's hard for me to enjoy. I'm like one of those old blokes off of First Dates who's true love has died, so they're now there with a perfectly acceptable alternative, but you can never replace what you had before. Even if it did have a funny smell.

Only went for a few drinks before a concert at the castle. Staff were more than helpful (especially the doorman). Great atmosphere considering the football was on.

This is a solid sports themed bar & grill. Table service is nice and quick, even when the venue is completely full. Food was much better than expected, all the dishes we ordered were great to eat while watching football. Ordering via the QR code was seamless. The only negative was the volume of the venue when full, as it was so loud, it was hard to talk.

Really comfortable place to watch live sport with a beer. The aircon upstairs was appreciated on a humid day. Friendly and helpful staff and the signed shirts were impressive. Will return

What an outstanding place. Just popped in with the family for a quick drink. Barman such a nice helpful fella we added food as well. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Food was great. Bowl of water for dogs. Highly recommend to anyone passing.

I only popped here for a couple of hours on my way to meet some friends. The staff were really friendly and I have no complaints about the lager. The place looks great too.

First time to visit and the experience was great. You can book a table via the web and when you get there you can order drinks via the web or at the bar. They have a great selection of beers. All the staff were very helpful and even put on the channel we wanted to watch the football. Lots of sporting memorabilia to look at while you are there. Well worth a visit. I'll certainly be back.

Both my wife an I visited Elevens bar and grill on 16/8/21 & 17/8/21. What a smashing, clean and friendly venue. The staff were wonderful and the chef produced superb food from a spotless kitchen.. We won't hesitate to visit again.

Peter behind the bar was rude. Has been pointed at us and telling us we know where the door is if we don’t like his awful service. His side kick colleague was rude too saying she couldn’t get me a receipt for my drinks, lucky Lee was there to save the day (thanks Lee). You can tell why Peter only works in the hospitality industry his customer service skills are shambolic. Sack him please. #makeslevensgreatagain

Awful.... came into this bar and staff were confrontational and backed off from us as we approached the bar, stating, take a seat we don't take orders at the bar. 5 minutes later after struggling to use the electronic system no one came to ask if we needed assistance and continued to have their own conversation. We ordered drinks using the system eventually but low and behold a regular walked in, ordered his drink and paid for it from the bar. Word of advise.... unless you're local, the staff know you and you have a smart phone....DO NOT use this bar and avoid like the plague.

great atmosphere. Although slightly disappointing we couldn't swap a bucket of unopened ciders for beer - strange being the beer was cheaper ! Considering its a sports bar would of been nice if commentary was the primary concern rather than music. food was great ! and door staff super friendly. Would of been perfect if the bar staff were more accommodating and had more patience.

Booked for 13:45PM but arrived a little earlier and was allowed access at 13:30PM as was quiet. The staff were very polite and very helpful. It is a lovely venue with a decent but small selection of food items, I however didn't get a chance to try their alcohol range. We ordered burgers which were lovely (burgers were a little tougher than I'm used too, don't know why), the cajun onion, vegan dirty fries (this was delicious) and also had the chicken goujon kids meal. I have knocked a star off however for some dirty cutlery we had, I was glad I had finger food so didn't need to use them. Would go again 👌

Nice and cosy atmosphere and friendly personnel! modern and clean with plenty of places. Very good choice of beer and beverages. Approachable prices considering the location right in front of the Castle. We chose the place for an event of nearly 30 people. Reduced price for groups for food and drinks helping a lot! Thank you very much for such welcoming! I am definitely recommend the experience as we’re enjoying football FA Cup.😀❤️

Before anything, I'll start this by saying that I love going to Elevens, but I can't in my right mind give it anything higher than 3/5 to anyone checking it out for the first time. (I'd give it a 5/10 but that doesn't convert to a star system!) Firstly, the good - Elevens is by far my favourite sports bar in Cardiff, and possibly in all of South Wales. It does everything you would want with a great atmosphere, sport all day, great location, and lots of really interesting memorabilia on display. The selection of drinks is pretty solid - with the 'Bale' brand of ale/lager absolutely worth a try too. Food menu is also varied and interesting, offering some classic options but also plenty of intriguing choices too. The online ordering system in the COVID era is also smooth and surprisingly quick too. But the reason that Elevens falls short for me comes down mostly to the price - especially given that there are a lot of cheaper options very near the bar. Pints are expensive, and the food menu prices can be pretty shocking too, especially given the pretty mediocre standard of the food. (I would definitely avoid the doughnuts, mine were overcooked, tasted pretty awful, and came with cheap sauces which unfortunately were the highlight of the dish!) Elevens is strange because once you become accustomed to the high prices and average food, the charm and atmosphere grows on you and you find yourself returning over and over - I'll almost certainly be returning over and over in the future! Would I recommend it to someone just looking for a meal or a pint? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it for a sports fan looking for somewhere to watch the match? Possibly, but only if you're willing to pay more than you expected!

The manager Paul went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We booked food for my sons 13th birthday. My son is obsessed with Gareth Bale and he was not disappointed. He loved all the memorabilia. Food was lovely. Highly recommended cant wait to go back.

Wanted somewhere to what sport , but can not review as turned away as not reserved a table, when do you need to reserve a table for a drink?? Looked this bar up 24 hours before. No mention that a table needed to be booked … Their loss 😡

Great atmosphere and nice staff. i enjoy beers there as well especially the Bale lager. The burgers however were barely edible as the meat seemed frozen and bought from Iceland for sth. Such a downgrade from what I used to have there before covid. Not ordering burgers from there anymore.

Pretty good! Went here for lunch with my girlfriend. Food was good, Service was good and the drinks we ordered were good. Nothing really stood out as special, but I can't fault it. For me to say I love it id want just a little bit more variety in the food menu, and id want the menu to be a bit more detailed - we had some garnishes that weren't listed on the menu and had we known it would have influenced our order.

A safe (door staff and bouncers) but friendly bar for drinks, food and watching sport on multiple screens. Great customer service and everything can be done at table service via a phone app. Good atmos too

Bale Ale and Bale Lager, what more is there to say! Some very cool memorabilia scattered throughout the pub from Bales stuff to other legendary players. Food is decent as well!
