I had a pint of the Rev James Ale from Brains Brewery and the small plate of fish and chips. Everything was decent as well as the service so no complaints here.

Great City Centre Pub! Awesome atmosphere on a match day too, good prices, entertainment, DJ etc. Good choice of beer. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of seating and tables, bar upstairs too which is great. What you see is what you get, no gimmicks, will definitely return.

Popped in here on a busy weekend and the place was full to busting. Great atmosphere but we didn't stay as we wanted a table and food. Popped in the next day and had full breakfasts for 3 with drinks and spent under £25 which was great value. Food was good, standard breakfast and plenty of sauces provided. Also had plenty of TVs for sports which wasn't needed at 11am I'm a Sunday but I counted 10 visible from our table for those who like sports in bars

A M A Z I N G! We come from London on a day trip and found this gem of a pub. Came in with my puppy and I ordered the most amazing vegan burger. Very clean, really nice and friendly staff... Definitely coming back to this place next time I visit Cardiff ❤️

Me and my dad went the same time as the YesCymru march was happening and it was packed inside and outside. We managed to grab a table and the food arrived fast, hot and perfectly cooked. The staff were lovely and everyone looked happy. It really made our day with the great service!

We called in on a Sunday afternoon after doing a bit of shopping. No problem getting a table and we were seated comfortably. Slightly disappointed with the beer selection as they advertised Brains, was hoping for an SA but they only had the Reverend. My husband had a mixed grill and I had fish and chips, both great for the price and we didn't have to wait too long. The toilets are upstairs so that is something to be mindful of if you have mobility issues, but all in all a good experience.

Stopped in for a drink before going home after a Christmas party, it was around 10pm? The pub itself smelt so bad that we decided to try and finish our drinks quickly so we could leave. The smell was of toilets, damp, and sick. When we went to find a table, we noticed one of the tables had sick on it which hadn’t been cleaned - the pub itself wasn’t busy so there was absolutely no reason for this (if there ever is a reason for that).

Great pub to watch Sport in. Book in advance to get a table. Guinness is good and Heineken too. There are screens everywhere. Only downside was the toilets were not clean

I have been here previously and had the cauliflower wings (pic 2), which were really good as it was actual decent pieces of cauliflower. But my recent visit, I had the 3 small plates and had the cauliflower wings again and was served this disappointing plate (pic 1). I was upset as I usually love the cauliflower wings but these looked like entrails from a batch 😭. I had to take a pic as I could not believe the difference. Sorry the second pic is extremely bad as it was a video of me praising them.

Going back to the pub after many years finds it unrecognisable following refurbishment. Now very large and comfortable with upstairs opened out too. Modern updates mean little of the old character remains. Good service. The large number of TVs suggests this would be a good choice of venue on match days.

This was a fantastic pub for me and my friend to go drinking at, with a vintage style that the lights and bar contribute to! The Welsh flag is also a neat addition, the staff were friendly and we shared a cocktail on the offer, sitting comfortably at a clean table.

A modern, stylish pub just off Queen Street with a good range of beer. Whilst we did not try the food, the menu offers a very good selection to cater for most tastes

Been here a handful of times and never a problem. Actually sat with a beer upstairs and watched baseball. God I miss my baseball! Tried to explain it to my friend but not sure he got it. Cool place to watch football on a weekend as well and a pool table. Never packed either. I like that.

I popped in here for some food, there didn’t seem to be a large number of pubs which allowed dogs in the centre of Cardiff (I might be wrong). The staff were incredibly helpful and brought out not just a big bowl of water but also a bowl brimming with dog treats. They were gone in about 10 seconds! Food for humans was really good too, great burger, just the right amount of sauce and chips were lovely. Very quick and friendly service too. A real port in a storm on a wet and cold June evening. I’ll be back when I’m in Cardiff. Highly recommended.

Not a bad pub. Always seems lively, plenty of screens for sports, does a decent pint of Guinness. Can get a bit loud and it's pretty expensive, even for city centre

Very spacious pub! Lots of televisions playing sports. Two levels with the upstairs having a pool table. Only had a quick drink so I cannot say if the food is any good.

We visited one of the oldest pub in Cardiff. It was crowded with people who came to watch rugby on the day, but there were enough seats luckly. I like the atmosphere, but did not try any foods so I will try it next time.

Nice pint good food and we had a seat. Great

Nice pub, sat and had a burger on the outside tables. Staff were pleasant but ordering for a large group was difficult, we were supposed to use an app but we couldn't get it to work. The burger was delicious but be aware of the seagulls. Owain Glyndwr was a Welsh leader fighting for independence in 1400. I'm not sure it's relevant but an interesting fact that shouldn't deter English tourists from a tasty burger.

Nice little pub in the middle of the city. Good selection of drinks, reasonably priced. Outdoor seating was good as it was a nice day.

Everything was as I would expect. Nice and friendly service, well done. I really felt like they've looked after us. Food was okay, but no "Wow" factor. Nevertheless, nothing was wrong so they've deserved maximum score. Thanks!

To be fair. This was my first day out since pre covid. I was with my work family. We sat outside and I basically drank pitcher after pitcher while watching Wales get beaten by Denmark. Eventually I tried to order another and the guy told me I'd had enough. I had to agree with him. I don't remember much after that. Great service, friendly staff. Will definitely go there again

Called in for something to eat before a concert. Had the steak, it was cooked perfectly (rare) and tasted divine! Friendly staff and a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Good food and service, one chef called in sick and the solo guy still knocked up a great burger in quick time.

I am a Spanish guy who has been in Cardiff for a few days as a tourist. The atmosphere is very friendly, good drinks, the staff is very attentive and friendly and they have international football matches and many other sports. Highly recommended if you are in Cardiff for a few days.

Super busy! Reserve a table using the app before going. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this pub. Nice fish and chips (although the chips were probably frozen and not fresh) and cod and chips. Stops serving food at 2200

Food is cheap but not tasty. You get what you pay for. 6.95£ for PIGEON WINGS Wouldn't recommend.

Seemed ok at first, but try and avoid at the end of the night for last orders. They rang the bell, so I went straight to the bar to buy a round. Served instantly, but then when I put the drinks on the table where we were seated, the doorman told us to neck our drinks and leave. I explained I’ve literally just bought them, but he insisted we down our pints. The 3 of us then necked our freshly poured pints and left. Very strange

Great pub, watched the rugby on big screens. Best burger I've had in a while. Only criticism was much too loud, deafening TV commentary, sort that and it's full marks.

Nice pub. Busy, with friendly staff and good value beers. Good selection.

Average pub grub in Cardiff, nice venue for a catch up with mates. Good selection of drinks and food. Food is cheap and cheerful and plentiful. App is a bit useless, only some of the table numbers show up so we couldn't make use of it and the queue to order was quite long
