Fantastic meal out with my family and my partners family. Really nice layout and design in the restaurant. We all had 3 courses. The steaks was all cooked how we liked it. The service was really quick but gave us time to talk and have a break in between our meals. All the staff was polite and helpful. There is nothing I would like them to improve on.

Steak was well presented and appeared large on size. Very disappointed that lobster and scallop side dishes were on the menu yet again unavailable. Serving staff also appeared inexperienced in their role and not our usual level of service. Prices increasingly high again as we have found at most Miller and Carter venues.

Just been refurbished which I did the Joinery work on, it would have been rude not to go and eat there once opened. Good atmosphere with attentive staff. Great location in the centre of the city with plenty of shopping venues and bars around. Food was excellent and reasonable priced.

First visit in a few years and we will not be returning ⛔. We had prebooked a table weeks before for 8.30pm. Arrived 8 pm advised reception desk who said "I will find you a table at 8.30pm,come back then" Sat in bar area whilst waiting where meals were also being served. The restaurant is modern and tastefully decorated. Both sections of toilets were disgusting and there are "yellow slippery floor signs" at both entrances to both toilet sections which served as a warning to entering womens and mens toilets with very wet floors with wet toilet seats, toilet papers around toilets base on the floors which became worse through the night. Server's were very busy, whilst we were grateful to the server who had come into work on her night off, this also explained why it took so long to be served. Our drinks had not arrived when our starters were served. Prompting our server remedied this, who apologised. Main meals were served and I had the lobster tail in addition to the Ribeye Steak . The ribeye was cooked to medium perfectly however the lobster was tough, dry and difficult to remove from the shell which explained a couple of hours later: an adverse urgent stomach complaint ☣️. Comparing the photographs of my lobster compared to Ruth's previous review my lobster does not look juicy & succulent. No tips for service, only tip is we are not returning to this restaurant.

Went to Miller and Carter in Cardiff with my partner and had such a great experience here! Our waiter Hugo was so polite and welcoming he knew how to make us laugh and offer us great cocktails. Just wanted to leave a nice review about the food and drinks and obviously the Lovely Hugo who needs to get praised for his amazing welcoming service and approach to customers !

Always love the food at Miller And Carter, but this time we were not impressed by the old male greeter. We arrived half an hour earlier than our booking. Despite there were many empty tables, we were told there was nothing available. When we returned after half an hour, the tables were still empty.

Lovely food, good portion size. The 2 waiters we had were very friendly and attentive. Would recommend booking before hand.

Having avoided Miller & Carter previously as it’s a chain, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce had a deep, delicious taste. Well worth the price

Went a few times, usually went for Sirloin (medium rare) which was the cheaper option and it was always kind of chewy, but I suppose that is how Sirloins are. But then I tried the Ribeye (medium) and that was amazing! I love the onion+potato block you get with the steaks, but their chips are always underwhelming. I tried the chunky fries and they were a bit dry. Their starters are small but taste good. During special holidays, they are usually always full, so you have to wait to be seated (5 to 10 minutes).

Staff always really friendly, happy to help and advise on wellness on the steak. Food has always been cooked to perfection every time I’ve visited. I’ll definitely be coming back again

We visited for the first time for my husband’s birthday. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service straight away. Food was amazing and we really liked our special dessert. Thank you for the nice polish lady serving us. What a great night. We will be coming back.

Shout out to the waiter that sacrificed his back for my mum and dad from the 40kg sign that nearly fell on them, it’s reminiscent of Superman stopping a train to save a mother and her child. You absolute stud of a specimen. Also thanks for the management for being understandable. Very good food and atmosphere. My dad had a great birthday meal with you and on top of that we saw some ‘celebrities’ in cardiff at that time: Johnny Depp, Dora the Explorer and Kerry Katona.

Good quiet atmosphere. Great service. Food was OK. I was expecting a much better steak and having no A1 sauce didn't help me.

The location was good, food were good too but the waiting time between the course was a bit too long. We spent 2 hours having 3 course lunch here.

A few things missing off the menu. Food was very tasty. Our server Matt was really helpful. It was my birthday and they gave me a card which was lovely.

Had to ask to move tables as it was really unstable, what annoyed me was the couple next to us told me they had moved from that table for the same reason. Considering we sat for lunch at 1pm and the dessert I wanted, the pavlova was already sold out. Josh our waiter is the only reason I put an 8 and did not score lower, he was fab

Had many lovely dinners here. Steak was great, and my favourite was actually the onion loaf.

Went for a pre-concert dinner with family. We had a couple of "butchers block" sharers between us and it was excellent. The steak was well cooked and flavourful, and the accompaniments were very good.

Positives: my server was excellent and attentive, offering good suggestions and always making sure I was taken care of. Food was cooked to a great standard. And, the bar tender was able to make a decent plain old fashioned. Negatives: hostess/manager at the door was patently dismissive and ignorant, the table and broader restaurant was absolutely filthy and disgusting - table was dirty as seen in the photos, the food portion was puny for the cost - would not recommend, the salad was frozen, and overall, for these reasons, I wouldn’t recommend or go back.

We had the pan seared scallops with chorizo and the cheddar mushrooms between us. We then had the dirty burger and the salmon for mains. For dessert we shared the dessert board. Quite pricey here but food was quality.

Absolutely beautiful food, place, atmosphere and service. Our server Joe was brilliant and very attentive. Thank you very much, you made my birthday❤️

If I could’ve given 10 stars for service I would… Our waiter Joe was fantastic and having only visited once before he recognised us and made us feel like we were the only ones dining… absolutely fabulous

Overall a lovely evening shared with friends. Main was delicious - sirloin steak, fries, caesar salad bowl, chips and béarnaise sauce. Steak was lovely and tender and a good amount of food. Decided on the vanilla cheesecake with lemon drizzle for dessert, however, not very impressed and wouldn’t choose again. Friend had the white chocolate and mango bomb which she thoroughly enjoyed, but not sure it was worth the cost! Downside to the evening was the heat, we were sat upstairs and the heating was intense, even though they assured us the air con was actually on.

Food was outstanding. Josh was absolutely sensational and recommended the perfect wine. Will definitely be having our monthly catch up here from now on.

Visited miller and carter The Hayes, Cardiff on 25th march. Was served by sash. Food was amazing as usual and sash gave outstanding service and was extremely knowledgeable around the menu. He was also very attentive when he discovered it was our silver wedding anniversary which was so lovely, a genuinely nice person and an asset to the team. Our chef was jack and every single part of our food was absolutely delicious so thanks to them both.

We had a fantastic night, 3 steaks and one full rack of ribs, every meal was perfect. The atmosphere is always spot on in the venue and Lewis our server for the night was brilliant, very knowledgeable and very polite. Just the place for a lovely afternoon lunch or dinner before a show. Keep up the good work!!

Really enjoyed my food, however it went cold very quickly. Also we had 2 children with us and there is a lack of child changing facilities or it wasn't made clear where it was located in the restaurant. Hence the 4 star review.

Very Good meal .,friendly staff.

Only there for drinks which were really nice - good cocktails. It's also a very nice place to sit. Downside is that we had to wait 15mins for our drinks but I think we need to cut the trade some slack at the present time.

Good meal, excellent service from our waiter, Sash. Didn't feel rushed and got a card and a glass of bubbly to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Salad was *roughly* chopped (read little more than halfed an iceberg lettuce) and the bacon looked barely cooked. Tasty however and the dressing was nice. I had the Black Angus Sirloin and the missus had the ribeye. Perfectly cooked to order for both and well presented. Chips good but when listed as triple fried I expected crispier. The onion rosti complimented well but was a little soft also. The wife enjoyed the lobster tail. We enjoyed the evening, but for £90 for two mains, a side and a bottle of wine, I think it'll likely be our 10th anniversary we might book again.

Went to Miller & Carter in Cardiff today for the 1st time in ages and the last time. We were sat at our table for 35 minutes before the server took our order. We did wait 5 minutes for all our party to arrive and the server commenting must be women to a table of 3 guys and 5 women. Then refused to take drink orders. 35 minutes later we all ordered food. 1 hours after sitting at the table came back apparently the computer had crashed so we all had to reorder. 90 minutes after sitting at the table we were allowed to order drinks. I ordered 3 sides 1 being greens which looked like a left over potion. When I went to ask the server he automatically said he'd bring another which was charged for when the bill arrived. Even added a £30 service charge to the bill and commented to one of the party if they didn't pay the extra £29 for their meal they were overcharging the rest of us. Shocking service. Much better restaurants to go to in Cardiff. Especially Pasture. .

We had the best experience and a lush evening! Our server Josh was super friendly and helpful and honestly was a total pleasure to be around ☺️ He really made our experience and wanted to make sure everything was perfect (he deserves a payrise 😉). We had the Dirty burger and Sirloin Steak cooked by Mark and they were INCREDIBLE, we ate until we physically couldn't move anymore because it was just to good to leave any. Highly recommended and will deffo be returning!

Came to Miller and Carter on Saturday for my daughter's 18th birthday, the food was delicious and the service from Simon was outstanding, made her day by bringing out a fabulous dessert with Happy Birthday on the plate, lovely touch considering we hadn't mentioned it was her birthday when booking, so this had just been picked up by our conversation. Will definitely be back.

Went for Christmas Dinner. All I can say is from start to finish everything was exceptional. The waiter we had was brilliant, couldn't fault him. Every ounce of our food was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone who just feels they would like an alternative to standing in a hot kitchen, trying to time the roasties with the parsnips and sprouts.

Food was excellent, the menu was impressive and gluten free menu was a class above. Only thing that stopped a 5 star was the service was just off the mark. Had to ask the server twice for sauce which eventually arrived half way through the meal, had a long wait for drinks whilst a group of staff seemed to be chatting at the bar and some parts of our order were brought out incorrectly.

Had a lovely dinner, butchers block was an enormous amount of food and a great selection! Served wonderfully by Kasia who was an excellent waitress and very attentive. Thanks for a great evening :)

Such a lovely warm welcome as we came in, staff were so attentive and friendly. Felt very looked after as a heavily pregnant woman. It felt more relaxed with most people not wearing masks. Will be returning very soon.

CHATEAU EXPERIENCE Quality food as always at a reasonable price. Plenty of options to pick from. Steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend a visit!!
