This place advertises itself as a student bar although I have seen many people from many walks of life. It's quite busy on the weekends and on student night. This place has a great atmosphere when it's busy and had a mediocre selection of beers. In the daytime when they serve food I have heard they make an awesome steak

Great food but shocking attitude, this was our regular takeaway up until recently. We ordered our usual meals but the last time we used them one meal was missing a portion of fries, I called to let them know but there was no apology and was told before even asking if they could be dropped over that ‘it’s too far just for fries’ so they would knock the money off our next meal and flat out refused to rectify their mistake(big help when you haven’t had food all day) So we will take our regular business to other local businesses who actually appreciate the custom. So if you want great food with an appalling attitude to customers give them a go... You still owe us for the missing fries too loco’s!!!

Horrid place, not covid friendly at all, rude staff and awful 'security guard' who couldn't control anyone to sit down and let people go from table to table. Floors were extremely wet, staff did nothing to clear up apart from leave a wet floor sign, saw multiple people violently fall and nothing was done about it. Personally would avoid and not recommending.

The vibe is not fantastic. Music rises and falls sporadically. Drinks are expensive and nothing to phone home about. The general populous who occupy this sorry scene are quite horrifying. Would avoid unless, like me, you are desperate.

Good local place in Cathays to grab a drink. Used to offer event space upstairs but now it's being renovated and turned into student flats. Affordable drinks, fairly friendly staff, usually very crowded but good atmosphere.

Cocktails are ok, online ordering system is straight forward. Gets quite busy and hectic at night. I'd book a table in advance if ur going for a night out.

Popped in on the off chance as was unsure of what food to eat. It was quiet which was just what we were looking for. We ordered a couple of dishes off the menu and some cocktails. When the food arrived we were very surprised of the quality of dishes and that it was all made fresh to order. The owner was very welcoming and even found time to sit with us to get some valued feedback. Will definitely be returning and telling everyone of this hidden gem. If you are looking for authentic freshly cooked latin or Mexican food, make sure you pay this place a visit.

The food was awful: not fresh, sauces, beans and other items were obviously out of a can/jar. The place is also dirty: the bathroom was disgusting, the floor of the restaurant desperately needed to be swept/mopped, and the furniture was filthy. Service was also not very good. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Cocktails were nice. The food was nice too. The toilets however were falling apart. I mean the walls of the cubicles were coming away from the wall. Totally off putting. Fix this and the place is lovely.

Really helpful staff, lots of televisions for watching sport and very reasonably priced drinks. Would highly recommend.

Can't speak highly enough of Ajay and the team. We had a large booking of around 40 for a belated sport's club Christmas meal, which wasn't an issue at all. All of our orders arrived on the arranged time and we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, given the size of the booking. Pato Taquitos in particular were incredible. We always enjoy our visits to Locos. Great selection of beers on tap and the best student hot-spot in Cardiff on Wednesday evenings

Stunning. Words cannot describe how nice the food is here. Personal favourite is the Halloumi/Brocolli delicacy (meant to be a starter but I ordered as main as it’s so filling) would recommend to anyone visiting Wales. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Such a great atmosphere! The staff are always so welcoming and helpful! The cocktails are delicous, especially the blue lagoon. Can't wait to come back! Lots of love to Locos!!

Returned after many years away to this great pub. Music is great, the owner and staff are incredibly welcoming and you will be served instantly. Very reasonably priced with drinks deals also on offer. The curry is also a better standard than most curry houses. Locals very friendly. Top pub in Cardiff.
