restaurant was absolutely beautiful, lighting was perfect, temperature was perfect. was sat next to a window with a lovely back drop of beautiful plants. bread starter was very tasty, sirloin was cooked perfectly and the dessert sharer was lovely. very good food for the price and our waiter, anthony was lovely and attentive and had great banter. he made the visit even more pleasant. both my partner and i are autistic and we felt very comfortable at the restaurant. very accessible for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. music was perfect volume and background noise was not overwhelming

Great experience and excellent service. 1st time I have been here and it was excellent. The service was very good and well worth a visit. The food was wonderful and a good range of tea's and coffee. Very reasonable price for the quality of food and the service.

Had a meal here on 22nd December 2022. Firstly it was comfortable and clean. The bar staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating. Excellent service. The food was absolutely fantastic. Both me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. They had a DJ on the corner bar playing appropriately volumed Christmas music which was nice. It is refreshing to see great quality in a chain hotel/restaurant. Will definitely be visiting again. Well done all!

Dull Interior with silhouette of plant leaves at the window , low Lighting and very simple looking tables. Not much of interior deco other than a glass mirror at one end at also the open kitchen. Had a party of 20+ in another table so big enough to sit far away from the noise. Negroni was average. Monk fish was tasteless - had a clear consommé which was tasteless, under salted and boiled Potatoes did not taste of any seasoning. The crab tagliatelle on the other hand was the opposite- it was too sweat and too hot( too many chilliest in the dish) Tart tartin was average- a different method with the top not being crispy but inducing the same effect by sprinkling broken biscuits over the top. Service was mostly attentive but distracted by the large party. Thank you for your response dated 20/9- we did feedback to the Waitering staff at the end of the meal and she was going inform the chef of our unhappiness with the meal and suggestions.

We had the afternoon tea as part of the Relax Spa Experience package. The staff were fantastic - we all had different dietary requirements (regular, dairy free and vegan) and they were very helpful and considerate in preparing the food. The little hot food selection and sandwiches were fantastic, and both the dairy free and vegan substitutes were delicious. The freshly baked scone was everybody's favourite. The dairy free and vegan dessert plates were disappointing though, we didn't end up eating any of them. Lovely choice of teas to choose from and the dining room is very well presented. Decently priced and a fun experience.

Had a later dinner, and there weren’t many customers. Staff certainly are tentative and friendly. Food are tasty and have good portions. For the main, I ordered the sea bass which is tender and has crispy skins.

We bought a package of spa treatment and meal. The £5 olive bowl only has 10 olives, they charge extra £10 for the sirloin to have a tomato, mushroom and fries, which is included in the price with the chicken and the fish. They forgot to bring the bread for the soup. I definitely wouldn't go back.

Good lounge area. Match day experience was good. Team worked hard to keep everyone served, and they did well. One exceptional bartender there- great service and went out of his way to get still water. This man worked at speed, with great skill, flair and accuracy, and is a stand- out talent.

Pleasant surroundings, friendly staff, good massage and lunch was very nice (the afternoon tea looked good too!) All in all relaxing and pretty good value. Only oddity was being told it wasn't possible to have a glass of prosecco because glasses weren't allowed, yet there were water glasses and glass bottles of water and juice in the relaxation room, fine to have a no alcohol policy but don't pretend it's something else. We had a lovely time regardless

Food lovely, staff great. Would have been better if the lights were brighter so we could see the menu and what we were eating. Rather dark, also the bar area. Put another shilling in the meter please.

When we arrived attentive member of staff, however after that the service was poor from our server, knowone checked if we wanted more tea or coffee or more drinks.asked for the bill twice. Disappointed

Very disappointing Hendricks afternoon tea the drink was ok but the food was disgusting the scones clearly not freshly made but warmed doughey from a pack I'd guess. Cream was horrid not cold They did exchange for fresh ones but much the same Sandwiches were dry the coaster in the tart was soggy The environment was nice They offered us another pot of Hendricks but we declined but accepted a complimentary cocktail in its place sadly the manager couldn't seem to accept the poor quality we brought to his attention This was the worst afternoon tea we ever had and the images we used to books did not depict what we received I'd say the poor Mans afternoon tea for £24 pp is maybe what they should name it

Excellent! This restaurant has it right. Large restaurant area but feels intimate and relaxed, good choice menu, all our selections very well cooked and presented, professional but friendly staff which all adds up to a very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to the next visit...

Had the fishcake and roast port, both were served warm not hot. Food is well presented but tastes average, pork v chewy. Tatre citron nice however we left the salt chocolate tart. Staff nice, ambience busy and noisy.

Went here for a afternoon/gentleman’s tea last week and it was absolutely amazing! The food that came with the gentleman’s tea was out of this world. The staff were great - very polite and helpful. One of our party was pregnant and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating with advice on food and making sure it was suitable for someone during pregnancy. Will definitely be going back for round 2!

Had afternoon tea here for the first time and it was wonderful. Great selection of tea available and the food was plentiful and delicious. Strict adoption of COVID-19 guidelines was good to see, but it didn’t impact the service which was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!

The food was really nice. Got in there with the August 50% so was really good deal. Even though only place to sit was the bar, it was still a nice atmosphere. Only thing I would say is there should be more lighting in the room.

👍👍 Great Jamaican food, we had a great time! I highly recommend the bottomless brunch, our waitress, Lucy, was very attentive and we had a great chat about nights out in Cardiff! The bar staff's cocktails were beautiful, too!
