Great restaurant / public house. Clean and well laid out. Food was very good and served quickly. Limited parking, so best arrive by foot to avoid disappointment. I highly recommend this place and will certainly visit again. We'll do to the staff.

Food came quickly and was really tasty. I had one of the Tuesday specials -15oz gammon for £7.50. The only thing that let it down was the toilets, they were quite messy and could of done with a quick clean.

10th August 2021....Originally gave them a 4 star rating (probably should have been 3) but you have to reward improvement thats deserved. Hence a 5 star rating today based on today’s service and meal. Definitely a totally different improved experience to our last visit January 2021...Social distancing is ok....attention to meal order could be better....ordered a large New Yorker...missed off order...then when it did come, it was a small one...the child’s meal was over cooked (slightly burnt) see photo.

We came here the night before our wedding, there was 54 of us. We had originally booked the Fynnon wen down the road, but with a weeks notice they told us they had to cancel. We called the Hungry Horse 3 Elms and they were thrilled to have us, it was the best food, service and atmosphere we could ask for. They were all amazing and sorted everything so quickly. Would recommend them to anyone!

Visited for my sons birthday meal. Plenty of choice with the children's menu , food arrived quickly and was lovely. Only downside was there was not many vegetarian meals available. A few choices on the menu but not all were available. The staff were friendly and helpful, even allowed us to have a birthday cake after food. Desserts were nice and a few choices which suited us all.

Great Sunday lunch. Plentiful and tasty and good value. Brilliant service from staff. Place is a little tired, hope the owners give a face-lift soon. Toilets were a bit sad and sticky! But really good value and would return based on the food and service.

Pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a quick late lunch and a drink. Some things were unavailable from the menu but the staff were really helpful in 'mixing it up' a bit and 'wow' did that work. Everything was perfectly cooked, nothing dry, nothing over done, buns were fresh, chips were superb, chicken was crisp and tasty. Highly recommended. 👍🏼

Food was nice pub food, nothing special but for the price we paid which was very reasonable and can use your blue light card. Dont expect gourmet food and you won't be disappointed. Venue starting to look very tatty and worn around chairs, tables etc

Asked for a 15oz Gammon Actually got 3 large pieces of bacon and over cooked chips. when i order a 15 oz gammon I'm expecting that, nice big and juicy. It used to be a lovely place. Needs to reduce the heat on your food. Needs a garden refurbishment. But nice pleasant staff happy to help.

Waited over two hours for food. Even tho we had booked as a party of 17 food was served at separate intervals with the babies waiting over two hours to eat. Personally my food was dry and lacking some sides such as onion rings however other party members said thay enjoyed thres. The waiting staff were very helpful and that is the only reason I give two stars.

Absolutely fantastic. Warm, welcoming pub that not only caters for those that thirst for a friendly pint, but families who are looking to satiate the appetites of their teenage children. I have never been to a pub with such a diverse selection, with incredibly large portion sizing. Several dishes felt like eating challenges, yet no dish is over £15!! Absolute bargain. Shout out to Iwan and Dan B. Gentlemen that can not only pull a pint but also serve up a mean passion fruit cooler.

Always love the food and atmosphere here. Any family events the kids always pick to come here. Food is cheap but always delicious. Toilets aren't great, could do with a deep clean and a revamp. 12 of us had a mains with pint of pop and a dessert each today came to about £150. As you can see in the pics plates are massive, full & delicious def recommend to anyone who asks for somewhere.

Good honest down to earth establishment. Food is truly excellent. Never had a meal that I did not REALLY enjoy. Generous helpings. Never had to wait long. Staff friendly and helpful. Edited December 2023. Sadly the above 5 star review which I left 4 years ago is no longer relevant. In the last 3 months I have had a couple of very disappointing meals at The Elms. Around 3 months ago I went there for a steak which is served on a skillet with fried onions and pepper. I asked for a medium cooked steak. I was given a white plate with no onion or peppers (they'd run out), and a steak which was almost raw and dripping in blood. It went back to the kitchen 3 times but still had blood running out of it. I gave up and asked for a refund . I hoped that this was just a one off problem . I visited again last week. I asked for a medium cooked steak, salad and sweet potato fries. I was told that they had run out of salad and sweet potatoes so chose alternatives. When the meal arrived there were again no onions or peppers which are supposed to be included (they had run out again), and the steak was again almost raw and oozing blood all over the plate. To make matters worse the waitress had an extremely hostile and disagreeable attitude which I found quite offensive. I am deeply disappointed as I have visited The Three Elms on countless occasions over several years and have always had excellent meals with friendly helpful service until the 2 recent visits. I have also recommended to many, many people. I have attached photos of the most recent meal, and a previous excellent one to show the difference.

Christmas dinner 2023, service was amazing, food was amazing (large portions) we always struggle to entertain our 3 young children for the duration of a meal but the staff at the 3 elms had thought of everything, tv, colouring, crackers with little toys, it was so relaxed and comfortable!! We had the best Christmas dinner in many many years and really enjoyed ourselves. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and would recommend to everyone!! We will definitely be back again soon. Thanks.

Amazing Place, if your looking for a good place to eat and drink this is the place for you! Iwan and Dan behind the bar are excellent and provide you with the best customer service that you can think of! Would recommend to others!

Had an amazing night with colleagues. Christmas eve. The staff were brilliant under extreme pressure with a lot of drunk idiots (I'm sorry if I was one of them.) For nights like that they should have a tip box. The done really well. Unfortunately me and my colleagues will return to cause a bit more trouble we enjoyed ourselves so much. Please make all the staff aware of their value.

I haven't been here to eat in ages even though it's just up the road. Food was fab - delicious pub grub. Piping hot and really tasty. Will definitely use it more now.

Great venue and fantastic staff who couldn’t do enough to help. They were non stop and I couldn’t fault the way they were dealing with things. They were a credit to the place. I would highly recommend this venue and food was excellent.

Turned up after opening time. Doors were open so we wandered in. Asked if we could sit anywhere and was greeted by 'we are not really open yet as we are cleaning but you can sit down'. Sat there for 20 minutes looking on the app. Before we ordered I went to ask if it was ok to order and they said they didn't know as they don't normally work there. So we left.

Came In yesterday for a meal my mum. I have a sensitive stomach to certain foods and asked the lad behind the bar while ordering my food for some changes and I’m appalled with the way he handled the situation and spoke to me. I wasn’t asking for the impossible just for some tweaks I usually enjoy dining here on a Friday but I might not be dining again. Calls for a course in customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could

Went there twice for food in past couple of months. On both occasions the service was terrible from orders missing or food not cooked to order they brought over a piece of fish that looked like it had been sat under the hot lamps all day all curled up, also forgot to bring out one order so the whole table was finished by the time it was brought out. The strongbow was flat to a point where it wasn’t drinkable! So no I would not recommend this establishment and especially if you’re going for special occasion! Witness A member of staff sparky table cleaner over another customer drink shocking!

What a wonderful pub. Great food, great beer and great staff. In particular, Jess, who made the experience that whole lot better. She's a real credit to the team. Cant wait for our next visit. See ya soon Jess.

Stopped here last week had steak and chips and pot of peppercorn sauce , the peppercorn sauce little boat was full and thick and nice , Meal was decent , come back today with a friend , had same Meal for each of us and 4 pots of peppercorn sauce 2 each and the little boats it comes in was only half full and was more water down than my squash....not once was I approached by member of staff to ask how meal was....it seems if u order more peppercorn sauce u get less in the boats , I probably had more sauce first time I came in the single boat than I did in 2 boats today, if I order more than 1 peppercorn don't tip 1 pot into 2 boats I would like what I pay for and 2 full ones , or 3 or 4 full ones what ever I order.

First time visiting this place having eaten at other hungry horse restaurants, I appreciated it wasn't going to be a fine dining experience. The decor of this place is well overdue an upgrade it feels dirty and uninviting, the chairs are ripped and taped together the table numbers are taped to the table and where the tape is coming away it has food debris, human hair and dirt all attached to it, not a great thing to have next to your meal. The garlic mushroom starters were like rocks, they had spent too long cooking and had to be cracked / flattened to even get on the fork. The rest of the food wasn't great neither, between us all we had a mixture ranging from undercooked soggy onion rings to overcooked onion rings like rock. It seems there's huge variances in the dishes being served. All in all I would not visit this place again.

Very well managed and staffed restaurant (=Hungry Horse chain). Good bar. Large menu with accent on good portion size. Excellent quality. Quick and friendly service. Only negatives small awkward car park and grotty toilets!
