Lovely refurbishment nice atmosphere pleasent staff nice buffet

Lovely large public house with outside beer garden. Plenty of car parking space. Food was delicious. My original choice was not available, however the veggie burger was tasty and it came with loads of fries. My friends' cowboy burger was very enjoyable as well. Only one little issue was that the fries were barely warm . We woofed them down all the same as we were hungry lol

Really loved this place, Sam and Kelly are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. A big thanks also to Angel our waitress, so helpful and polite. Lovely relaxed atomosphere with a great selection of drinks and the food was amazing, hats off to the Chef. I highly recommend Ffynnon Wen, we will definitely be coming back very soon.

Absolutely amazing food! Piping hot! Lovely service! Beautiful setting! Good prices! Quality of food for the price is absolutely outstanding! Tasted like it had cost a lot more! We have been here many times and it's gotten better and better! We love it here and look forward to returning again. 👌🏽

Busy, busy pub but hey managed to squeeze 2 of us in for food. Lovely friendly staff, speedy helpful service, lush food, definately go back.

Nice place to seat and relax, clean enough (although I did scratch something off my tea cup)and quiet. Food, could be better, we had nice soup and battered mushrooms for starters, but mains were a bit disappointing, old roast potatoes, soggy Yorkshire pudding, felt like I was served some leftovers. My kid says hers was good, though both our plates were presenting themselves as in homeless kitchen.

The terms 'large' and 'quaint' often don't fit well in the same sentence, but in this pub they fit together perfectly. Great pub grub rounded off this dining experience, suffice to warrant a "highly recommended" from me 👍

We have stopped visiting the 3 arches since the new owner has taken over as the service and food seem to have gone downhill so we have made the Ffynnon Wen our new local! Great food, friendly and inviting staff who all go above and beyond with their amazing service each and every time. One of our group accidentally left their AirPods on the table and a lovely lady, who I believe is the manager, even ran out after us to hand them back! Very grateful knowing there’s honest people around. We should have made the switch sooner!

Booked a table for 6, arrived 30mins early, but was absolutely no problem. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was excellent, and at a great price. Will definitely be returning. Thanks 🙏

We were a large party who had the Christmas meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The meal was absolutely superb and much better than expected. Everyone was served together, the food was well presented and plentiful. The staff came around with extra roast potatoes, gravy, and sauces. The deserts were especially delicious !!!

This place has always been stunning. We haven't been for awhile so it was a nice change to go. Disabled parking is always very close to the entrance, as well as ramps to make it more accessible. There's a ramp leading to the main dining area, which makes it truly accessible. The menu is very easy to navigate, with plenty to choose from. Service was very fast and the staff are very friendly and polite. All round a great place to go and socialise with family and friends.

As frequent flyers at the Ffynon Wen we can thoroughly recommend it! Always fabulous service, always friendly and prompt but with discreet attention, never sat waiting for drinks and food served quickly and tasting delicious! One of the best Sunday dinners around. Food is always perfectly cooked. Atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Overall a highly enjoyable experience.

Although here for a wake, it was still a lovely venue to visit and l would highly recommend it for any occasion from birthdays to celebrations of life. Everything about this pub is just about perfect and you're made to feel very welcome from start to finish in a very relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of beers wines and spirits and a very varied menu at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit and you'll definitely want to return

We welcomed at the front desk and seen to our table promptly, very quickly we were asked for our drinks orders (little bit too quickly for me) The drinks came very soon and our good food order taken. The food wasn’t too long in arriving (that’s very good) We all enjoyed our meals and good sized portions too. We were all full after our main meal and that was the reason we didn’t order dessert. An enjoyable experience, well done.

We were greeted in a friendly manner by a staff member and shown to our table. We were promptly served with drinks. Our food was delicious & good value for money. One meal was not deemed to be up to standard by a member of staff so we were duly compensated. Something we were not expecting but were most grateful. Overall a very good experience & will definitely be visiting again.

I never usually write reviews but the service here could not go unmentioned. Booked a large party for my mother's birthday meal and wow, from the moment I booked any questions or enquiries I had were dealt with quickly, nothing was a problem or to much for them. A warm evening and the staff provided fans and a portable air con unit without us even asking, they treated the children so good, provided them with crayons etc to occupy them, served them first, all food came out of the kitchen together, well cooked and hot, there was nothing more we could ask of them. Our server Kelly was so nice, polite, helpful and kind. The manager Sam was equally as fantastic to all of us. So easy to relax and just enjoy our meal. Allowed me in an hour earlier to decorate the room. Balloons, banners etc. Cannot thank them enough for such a smooth service and lovely atmosphere. Will 100% be booking here again. Beautiful place and wonderful staff.thank you for making my mother's night.

An amazing pub - a beautiful old farmhouse (listed) which has retained its character. The extensions provide ample space for a restaurant and lounge. The staff are amazing (I'm not going to name them for fear of missing one of them out), and they have a good range of well kept beers and lagers. The service is outstanding and the food is superb - good tasty and well cooked pub fare. This is a friendly local place for a drink, meal or relaxing afternoon sat outside.

Fantastic place, after being let down last minute by the baby shower venue we had booked the Ffynnon Wen came to our rescue. What a great place, we should have booked here first. They offered us the upstairs room for the whole afternoon we were able to arrive from 11am which gave us plenty of time to decorate the room. They have a good variety of buffet menu options, we chose the Gold buffet menu for 30 people and it was delicious, brought out at a time that suited us. The buffet was a selection of hot and cold foods and some sweet treats. The staff were so helpful and friendly and left us to enjoy the space. Great parking outside the venue. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you everyone for making this very special afternoon possible 😊

Lovely staff, courteous and welcoming. Really nice, comfortable dining room. Tables are a decent size to eat and hold a variety of sauces (which is a nice change from other places). The menu choice isnt exotic, but the food was lovely, quickly served and delicious (we had a steak & the fish and chips). We will definitely be back.

My wife and I visited the Ffynnon Wen on the afternoon of 29th July after booking a table on line. This process was quick and easy via the website. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely hostess and immediately shown to our table. Within minutes our hostess was back to take our drinks order which arrived with equal speed. We were given ample time to peruse the menu before our attentive waitress returned to take our order. When the food arrived, It was plentiful, well cooked and hot. All you could ask for. In short, we were very pleased with all aspects of the service and will definitely return soon.

A nice dining experience. The food was lovely. I had Southern fried Hunters chicken and it was delicious. Service was good. Staff were polite. I think they forgot our dessert but it arrived quickly when we reminded them. Decent prices No issues. Will definitely go again. Not happy with dogs being allowed in the eating area due to allergies.

From the time we walked into the pub to the time we left, the staff couldn't have been friendlier..we has 2 children with us and the staff were lovely with them. The food came promptly and it was hot and really tasty. We couldn't believe how reasonable the bill was for 6 of us. Very enjoyable experience and will definitely go back and recommend yo others. What a lovely place. My wife took me here as a late birthday present. The staff were so polite and friendly and catered to our every need. We had a lovely table in a small room as you came into the lounge. Also the food was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be going back there in the near future.

The food took nearly an hour to arrive - far too long. I had cauli curry, which was actually very good. However, my two companions both had sirloin steaks. They could hardly chew them - very poor quality steaks, and both of them left more than half the steak on their plates. This was very disappointing, as we had taken my elderly aunt out for lunch as a Christmas treat - she loves steak, but not these ones. I wouldn't visit again. If the staff had asked "how was your meal", I would have given this feedback, but they didn't, and when I paid the bill, I decided I didn't want a fuss, as nothing could change the fact that the steaks were very poor.

My experience was great the only thing was there wasn’t a large selection of beer and lager Also the main meals lacked enough chips And side orders was not enough like garlic ciabatta 2 half pieces for the cost that’s pretty tight + the onion rings about 5 not good Chocolate ice cream they asked if we would like chocolate sauce but there was none Good meal but for sake of couple extra chips And better side would have made it a great night and as we have a 50th anniversary to arrange might have swayed us to booking for that

We booked a table for 12 and we were seated upstairs, the food was delicious and we were able to eat together (which is nice, because in some restaurants the food is delivered in "shifts") I had the mixed grill and I highly recommend it, flame grilled to perfection, juicy and plenty of it. Will be going back again this week😉

It was the first time I'd been there and was impressed with the overall layout, we were met almost at the door to confirm our reservation and shown to our seats where we were quickly offered drinks and the menus. The service throughout our visit was prompt and courteous and the food excellent, we will definitely be returning in the future.

Service was good and beer was your standard fair, the starters we had were mixed, the nachos were a bit lacking (very little cheese) but the brie bites were gorgeous, then for the mains we both had burgers which were... quite frankly vile, we both wrapped the meat up in napkins and fed it to our dog when we got home as it simply wasnt edible, and the soggy lettuce wasnt much help either, all in all if they get better burger meat it could be quite nice but as it stand 3 stars feels generous

We visited here for the 1st time in years. The recent refurbishment is lovely and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My husband had fish and chips which he enjoyed, I chose the roast beef dinner. Unfortunately the beef was tough to cut and the food was lukewarm. Our waiter took it away saying he would get it changed, however I got the same meal back that had been put in a microwave. Unfortunately it was inedible. Our waiter was profusely apologetic and so nice in dealing with the whole thing. Whilst it was a disappointing experience especially as it was a birthday meal we were impressed by the fact we weren't charged at all. So to compensate my husband's meal and our drinks were free. Our thanks for the way in which it was dealt, many other places would have still charged for the other meal.

Ffynnon Wen is one of the few places you can buy one main meal from the menu and get another one free. Good selection of food on the menu. There is also a Specials board daily. The Children's menu is excellent with good choice. Spotlessly clean and plenty of room. You don't feel you are right on top of the other diners. Steak and Ale Pie with a gravy boat, Peas Carrots and Chips or Jacket Potato. I chose this and was not disappointed it was very tasty. Ffynnon Wen is a lovely place to eat I would recommend.

Really nice looking place, the interior is well decorated, the staff were really friendly and it had a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately that's about as good as it got. Lots of choice on the menu but my partner ordered a chicken pâté, which was supposed to come with sourdough bread and Welsh butter, not toasted mighty white and a packet of Flora. Her salad was then supposed to have cucumber, red onions and a honey dressing. It had none of these, we did question it and after the food was returned we were told there was no honey. Okay, but her pâté starter contained cucumber and red onion, so not sure why that wasn't in her main and then added after returning it. My own food was very average if I'm honest, not a great burger and the brie dippers, well I don't know where the brie was, they were empty deep fried breadcrumb shells. I don't like to write negative reviews but I had high hopes after seeing the place and the menu but was very disappointed.

The waiting staff were friendly, polite and attentive. There were two of us for lunch and we each ordered different things. My fish, chips and peas was hot, well presented and very enjoyable. My friend ordered a burger and said it was very good. We had one ice cream and a coffee to finish. Very nice lunch and as always Samantha was hands on, helping to clear tables etc., when it was busy. We will definitely be visiting again.

Kelly is an amazing host! My partner and I had a 3 course meal there today, it was out of this world! Steak was the best we've eaten, amazing quality and cooked to perfection. All 3 courses I'd highly recommend. The venue is very welcoming and sqeaky clean. Staff are polite friendly and professional, they all.look like they enjoy working there. It was our pleasure to visit you and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole visit.

We have been to The Ffynnon Wen several times over the past months. The food is consistently high quality and the staff are very polite and friendly. We have found that there is a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The premises are disability friendly, though my only criticism is that they could install more disabled bays in the car park. Overall, a very nice place to have lunch.

Service is always great here, but Sunday lunch is not the best. The beef is such a cheap joint you can’t chew it, quality is poor. Veg is very over cooked and the dinner is never hot. Only ever just warm, gravy granules are not good either. It’s just an average Dinner to be fair. We have had other meals in the menu and they are great

A quite extensive menu catering for most tastes and offering good quality food at reasonable prices. Especially liked the rump steak, which came with tomato, mushroom, onion rings and fries, cooked as requested. Real ale available served at the correct temperature (I hate it when it's freezing cold). Staff were helpful and friendly.
