Just been for bottomless brunch here. Had the best time. Unbelievable value for money they’re so swift and the food is amazing. We were served by Kate and she was unreal. Super friendly and so good at her job. Honestly can’t fault it but Kate really made our experience. Deserves a huge raise!

Popped in here for breakfast after struggling to find a vegan fry up and the options were amazing. I went for the vegan breakfast and vegetable gyozas. The toast could have done with some plant based butter but other than that the sausages were tasty, hash browns fried perfectly, and mushrooms were good too.

We booked for a large group of us, 20+, and the staff were very accommodating with our various requests. The food was ready on time and all came out together, which was fantastic. The food was good too, would definitely recommend!

Had a few pints, was in non student season - so quite to watch the rugby, which was great as I was in Cardiff to meet a friend. Great range of drinks and discovered the two pool tables down stairs. Good looked good, but was out for a drink and a chat. If your out in Cardiff for the rugby and it's not student season, honestly the place to be.

Jed is the best 💪 Bottomless brunch is the best around , won't disappoint ❤️ Attention to detail is second too none, didn't even have too ask for another round they were completely on the ball every time our drinks were half full. 10 out of 10 x Jed can my friend have your number xxx

As busy pubs go, it has some of the best atmosphere. Perfect for students, but perfectly welcoming and tolerable for everyone else. During the day, the upstairs has a trendy coffee shop vibe in one half, and a more taproom, pub-like vibe in the other... Downstairs there's a games room and a very pleasant walled garden area that you can lose yourself in on a sunny afternoon. Decent beers, always at least a couple of casks, (and not all overhopped "crafty" beers, either) and some decent ciders. There's something for everyone, as long you don't mind being surrounded by dozens of (perfectly well-behaved) 20 year olds.

Food took a long time to come. It was ok. We had wings which were nothing special. The garden area is partly covered so not much sun. It's ok. Proper student venue

Came here last Thursday before the Easter break. Most things were fine as usual but one member of staff was so unpleasant I would hesitate to return. He was short, snappy and seemingly furious that I hadn't memorised the menu when my original drink order was out of stock. When I came back for a second drink, I went to another member of staff as he was busy flinging bottle caps at the floor. My colleagues also commented on his rudeness so I don't think it was personal. Very strange childish behavior that let down an otherwise pleasant evening.

What an amazing brunch. Games provided. Burger down to a T. Adam or usain, we'll never know with the speed of his cocktail servicing skills. All round perf.

Went for 30p wings on Wednesday. Good deal. They don't sauce the wings, so you have to dip them yourself. Good service and the place was clean 👍

Really lovely staff and tasty drinks! Good value for money. I just recommend to come reasonably early because it gets very busy here very quickly in the evening !

Really great little pub and popular with students. Prices can be on the more expensive side for some drinks but not too expensive for what you'd expect in Cardiff. Food is really nice and the beer garden is a nice little area.

Nice atmosphere and staff. The food was great, but what was even better was Ivan’s service 💕 He was lovely and polite, very friendly and quick with bringing the food. Definitely recommend visiting🦋

Nice food for the price and quick service

  • 3/5 Simon M. 2 years ago on Google
The food was pretty good for the price. It wasn’t the best but the food is reasonably priced so we didn’t feel ripped off. The seating is not great, they only had stools and benches which aren’t comfortable in the slightest and all the staff were busy watching tele when I needed service

Really friendly, fun atmosphere with great staff. One of my favourite places for a bevvy and a laugh in Cardiff.

Lush pub, plenty of options on tap and all the basics you would expect from a well stocked place. Personal highlight they are dog friendly and run a dog of the week award which the highlights are displayed on TVs around the pub.

My first time in this cracking North Cardiff pub. Studenty vibe with good music and friendly staff. Good beers on tap also including local brewery Pipes at the time of our visit. Didn't eat here but the menu looks good.

Really cool pub. Proper old school. Traditional pub decor. Gives off peaky blinders vibes with various booths and old dark oak panals. Reasonable prices for central london. I am only commenting of the downstairs pub alone, I haven't experienced the upstairs restaurant, but it looks nice. Friendly bartenders.

I really like this pub. In fact, it was the first pub I had ever been to when I came to Cardiff 10 years ago. It's in a convenient location, next to my university building. The chicken wings are amazing, and the jack fruit fries are just as good, too!

Pub was ok, good selection of real ales, but super expensive compared to the Flora just down the road.
