Too enclosed, very crowded, packed in like sardines. The band sounded good but the environment was very uncomfortable. The age range of customers was vast, from 18 year olds through to 70 year olds. Covid passport qr code was looked at by security on the way in. If you like people bumping into you and spilling drinks then this could be your scene.

It's a great place on a night out. If you love live and loud music, this is the place for you. Service was ok, but it was very busy and the staff were trying to serve so many people. Unfortunately, Wheel chair access maybe abit of an issue due to so many different levels around the place. The toilets are also upstairs. The door staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere felt like going to a gig. It's worth a visit.

Music and atmosphere good but one needs to be on one's guard against drink 'spiking'. For whatever crazy reason my wife and I were victims to this most sly and deceitful of crimes and are still coming to terms with it. I with though, recognise the devious couple again .... Our paths will cross.

We came here for a works Christmas do. To say that the buffet was abysmal is being generous. Whoever is responsible for putting that together and sending it out should be ashamed of themselves. Only one driver for them and that is greed, plain and simple. We would have paid £400+ as a team and I'd suggest the venue's budget was not in excess of £20. Shocking! It was dull, uninspiring, unimaginative, badly prepared, poorly presented and although we were ravenous by 4.00pm I'd say 75% of it went to the bin as much of it was inedible. Staff are rude and indifferent too and drink prices ridiculous. The lounge area was nice and the live music was good.

Me and my partner went here with the group of friends of bday party. My bf was call as a drunk one ( he was a sober ) because of security see how I kiss him on the smoking area. Seriurity so discussed. If you are gay just recommended go anywhere else. Soo disappointed and discuss of that behaviour of security.

Only popped in to watch football on the TV. Stayed all night because of the excellent band playing plus bandoke and the atmosphere was insane! Everyone was dancing and singing. Highly recommend

Always love coming in here, bar staff are really friendly, and the food ain't too bad either. If you're into live music then you're going to be in love with this venue. Door staff here are also very friendly which is an important part of going to the bar as they are the first people you see representing the place.

Visited Thursday. Great live music, decent beer, lively mid evening. Went back midnight quieter but music volume still maxed, suggest turning down a bit when bar quieter.

Good atmosphere and regular live music. There's not a great deal of run in the dancefloor so it feels very busy but everyone likes a full dancefloor.

Considering it was an international weekend, the wait at the bar was super short, great atmosphere as always, and bouncers were right on it. Which is a strange thing to say I know but it was busy and a few drinks had by all, but they were not kicking off just subtle and keep the place rocking. Defo recommend.

The live music is always top notch everytime I've been here. The bands are top of the pops, the Dragonflies was the last band we seen and their version of Seven Nation Army was unreal. You have to put up with egos inside mind few men who think their mustard just give them a wide birth and enjoy your night. The staff were great could of done with a couple of extra pair of hands at the bar little bit of a wait and you had people jumping the que the bar staff didn't know who to serve first. It's worth a night out, though.

What a night. This place was so lively. Bouncers worked fast here and so clued up to whats going on to make sure every one had a good night at the venue. Great band and music after. Great bar staff. Well managed, Top marks, will definitely be back.

Only came here for what was supposed to be one drink But was impressed with the staff and also the price So ended up having a few drinks here The lady at the bar sanaz was soo nice really friendly and chatty overall amazing thanks guys

Staff are great particularly Rory who was very helpful and efficient behind the bar. The down side was the live music which was terrible and out of date, also the toilets were very old and not that clean!

Great venue with live music all night long. Drinks are good price and lots of good offers on. Food is a bit hit and miss but there are plenty of options on the menu.

Had a good lunch. The hotdogs were especially delicious and the ambience was lovely. Like to call out the good service of Kirk. He was very patient in explaining to us the menu sets as well as the wide varieties of beer available. All in a delightful experience.

I’ve been here numerous times and it’s absolutely fab!! Great music and everything else that comes with it!! However, had a bad experience today with one of the male bar staff. Whilst by the bar, He asked “anyone waiting” so I shouted “yes me” as I was waving my arms so he would see me… he then gave me this look and abruptly said “ I’m asking these ladies” these ladies were indeed in front of him, but they were deep in conversation with one another and didn’t hear him, also one of these already were served. I know this as they were in the same party as myself! He was shouting at me for simply replying to his question! He was well out of order! He asked anyone waiting and I replied yes me! For some reason this infuriated him, clearly in the wrong job!

if your looking for a dance then this place is for you not really my scene though as beer is way too expensive

Great live music friendly atmosphere

Booked a table for the evening on Black Friday and had a fab night. Kudos to the bar staff and a guy I believe said his name was Archie for dealing with a very busy and sometimes rude crowd. All deserved a medal. There was a security guy who had tattoos on his head who was also amazing. Anytime there was a slight hint of trouble he seemed to appear out of nowhere and sort it out in a calm manner. One of my favourite places in Cardiff anyway but how they managed a night as busy as last night deserved a commondation. Thankyou for a great night 🥳

Beer experience yesterday with Scott. Wow, he is so knowledgeable about brewing, amazing. We had a great day, learning all about brewing, helping out, bacon butty, lots of tasting, lunch and came away with 5 litres of beer each. Fabulous day, great pub, thoroughly recommend. Thank you

They now don't allow you to reclaim your deposit on arrival. Its a table service change. Which would be fine if there was any type of table service. Annoying that I was not notified of the change in deposit system before arrivals. Ordered food- some was cold all arrived at different times. On a plus side always good live music.

It's a good place to go for a few drinks normally has live music on and a good atmosphere. They took track and trace info and obided by the latest gov guidance. I rated 3 stars as the drinks were more expensive than other bars in the area with not as much selection. Wouldn't stop me going again tho.

It's so good to be out and watching live bands again. Always a good atmosphere in here and easier to get to the toilets now via the steps at the end of the bottom bar! Good selection of ales, quieter at the top bar and a great outside area at the back make this a great choice for groups as there's something for everyone!

Good atmosphere general appearance good but dirty tables, toilets very poor, wine wasn't up to much have drunk better for the price.

Lovely pub, great music venue, loads of live acts, space, good value, drinks, highly recommend it. Should be busier than it is. The only downside is that we stayed for 6 hrs and saw 3 acts which was brilliant, but the 3 acts played the some of the same songs. Would be great if they didn't (as much as I enjoy ring of fire).

Yesterday I brought some of my amazing Team of Clients to Brewhouse to enjoy a few drinks and the live music as a thank you for all their support, especially through the height of Covid. We were welcomed by the duty manager and he took care in showing us to our pre booked area. I just want to thank you for a wonderful afternoon/evening. The atmosphere was incredible and the music was even better. A great time had by all. Will definitely book with you again 🎸🎸🎉🎉😊

Friendly bar staff, made to feel very welcome at 3pm ish on a sunny Thursday afternoon. So much so that we came back later for Happy Hour (5pm-9pm) & listened to live music.

Another great live music venue in Cardiff that offers drinks at affordable prices that become even cheaper during happy hour/with student discount. Located in the heart of the city - highly recommend!
