I would rate this venue minus, me and my fiancé are over 27 and have never been Id for a gig and I've been to over 200 for a band which most of the queue were clearly under 17 and I look old ruined out engagement weekend I advise anyone if you have a favourite band avoid this gutter of a venue

I can’t believe you turned me away because I don’t look 18+, I am 27!! You ruined everything for me my night, the chance to see one of my favourite bands…..never have I ever been ID’d for a gig in my life!

An amazing venue that offers some amazing live music. If you are on Cardiff on a Friday or Saturday night you have to stop by and see some of the upcoming talent they bring in. The bar selection is also great and well priced, a great addition to the atmosphere and club.

The club has been going down sadly over the last few years, around seven or eight years ago the club had a vibe, a atmosphere what was jumping and cool, the staff was friendly and informative, this sadly is not the case anymore, I put this down to them lossing their general manager Mr Evens Ywain who was an integral partner in the team, he motivated the staff and made the clubbing experience something you just can't buy anymore.

Great intimate venue to see bands right in the middle of Cardiff. With the right act and a good crowd and there's nowhere quite like it. It feels like I imagined the 100 club or the Marquee club back in the day. Friendly staff and bouncers too. Well worth a visit.

The club was actually five-stars, but because of the manager, if I could I would have given the place 0 stars. Went to the club on Saturday, December 10th. We had such a good time and wanted to make a memory in the photo booth. We took the photos and paid 4 pounds. When the picture didn’t come out, we went to ask at the entrance how to get our picture. We were told that it had been a problem all night, but the manager would come. The manager came he went straight out to the machine, did some stuff and then ran off again. I asked the staff whether the manager would come back or not and they said that he’d might come back. So I decided to wait at the entrance. I stood there for half an hour before he came back. When he came back he walked straight to the bar and I walked after him and tried to get his attention. He walked through a back door in the bar. When I came back to the entrance, the manager and a doorman was walking towards me, and the manager said that I had to leave because I had insulted him. I said that I just wanted to hear if I could get my photo or my money back. Instead, the manager ran off again. I don’t think I will ever go back, unfortunately… I don't feel welcome anymore and will spend my money somewhere else. I hope they will have a talk about how to treat their customers. I don’t think the manager was adult enough for his job or at least he wasn't very customer friendly.

First time my friends and I have visited, the bands were brilliant! Bar staff were great. Things that let the venue down were that a 330ml can of Rekorderlig was £4.75 (wouldn't have minded so much if it was a pint) and that the one bouncer was way over the top when it came to closing. I don't think it's right that a grown man screams and shouts, then pushes women around to get them out, bearing in mind, you had no prior warning that the place was actually closing. Won't be visiting again in a hurry.

I absolutely love Clwb Ifor Bach, an incredible venue that hosts a range of events. It's especially great at hosting Drum & Bass nights. The venue consists of multiple floors with a great atmosphere. It also has a large outdoor area that always has high energy!

Went to a Ryan McMullan gig here which was absolutely ruined by a large group of 20-30 at the front who could not shut up and stop talking/screaming to save their lives. My blood was boiling throughout many others felt similarly. I don't even understand why they were there. Both Ryan and the supporting act Ciaran Lavery were visibly pissed at just how disrespectful some of the crowd were. They did their best but I couldn't help but feel perhaps security or staff could have acted to get rid of this extremely obnoxious and rude group. It ruined what would have been an otherwise great concert.

First time at the Clwb post-pandemic and absolutely fantastic to be back watching a superb band in a great venue. Mega helpful and nice staff too. One of the shining lights of Cardiff's cultural side.

Small, hot, sweaty. Amazing. Went in with full hearing, came out deaf and a stone lighter from sweating Best workout ever. Two weirdos on the photo with me are my daughter and her boyfriend. 🤘🏻

Intimate performance venue in the heart of Cardiff. I've seen a few gigs in the city despite being closer to Birmingham and Bristol, because it's a cool place to visit. Never made it to Clwb before though. Saw an obscure but highly talented American singer play to a small crowd, on an unseasonably muggy night. Might get a bit sweaty when it's packed out, unless of course a bigger crowd is what's required for the venue to justify turning the air-con on. Nevertheless, you get up close and personal with the band, who are on your level, looking you in the eye, and the steps mean shorties like me can get a good view. Bar has good choices and reasonably priced as venues go. I've contemplated a visit many times, but now, like the excellent Tramshed, it's somewhere that will actively draw me to the city over lesser venues closer to home.

Wouldn't even give the place 1 star! horrible door staff!!, when me and 2 friends paid to get in for the Black parade night we didn't realise we had to pay a separate amount to go on the downstairs floor. wasn't allowed back in when I left at 1 when I nipped out even tho my friends was still in there they wouldn't let me go find them so was left outside on my own! DO NOT RECOMEND THIS CLUB! HORRIBLE

Missed half a show not knowing there was also a stage downstairs. No signs or guidance, every member of staff seemingly zombified, or more interested in their pot noodle….

The bartender’s tonight where beyond excellent. I spoke with Cameron a lot and despite my less than sober state he was always patient and considerate. Great staff, so great venue. Nathan in security was fantastic in his diplomacy, with a delicate situation: Thank you all, made it a memorable night. James

Came here to see Hot Milk in 2021 and discovered a fantastic small venue! Plently of pubs and eateries to hang about in before the gig and welcoming staff, good sound and a fantastic vibe! I like that there are 2 rooms an upstairs and downstairs venue and the concert goers also friendly! Love a day out in Cardiff, fantastic City and fantastic people!

Great venue, friendly staff, multiple rooms. Central location in Cardiff city. Reasonable priced drinks. Air con on middle floor but top floor definitely needs ventilation and cooling... the fan was off??. Great night, however.

Great place for a gig. Good bar, reasonably priced. The stage is just high enough to give most people a decent view. Reasonable sound on the night I went, although unusually, the sound clarity was better for the support band. The club has also been used when recording Doctor Who, for any Whovians out there. Recommended.

Probably seen more bands live here than at any other venue. Great experiences a majority of the time with some mishaps that can't really be blamed on the venue. It's a really intimate space and perfect for getting up close and personal with the bands, makes the experience so much more personal compared to certain larger venues. Bar staff are usually friendly and it's a surprisingly friendly venue for those of us who don't drink alcohol.

Always a great night out! Get there early as it's always rammed. Drink prices are ace, draught options much better than they used to be. Also an excellent venue for gigs, engineers are on point with a nice balance between intimacy and liveliness.

Haven't been here for years! What a brilliant night (30th Oct.) We met some lovely, lovely people. 3 'music' floors to choose from...all excellent. Really loved the 80's music...will be back in the future.🥳😊

Great venue for more intimate gigs 🎶. Great atmosphere! Lots of bands, both local and from further afield play there. Friendly staff, who were very polite and efficient. There are four flights of stairs so some events- which aren't on the ground floor- might not be disabled friendly.

Top tier for live music in Cardiff. Upstairs and downstairs are huge rooms, decent lighting rig, good house PA, rustic feeling with bare-brick walls. Always very positive experience when I go to Clwb.

Second time at this venue, second time seeing WSTR here. A great smallish venue near the centre of Cardiff, perfect for up and coming bands. Decent room for a mosh pit and overall a good size.

Fabulous club/venue. Seen a multitude of different acts here and it's always ace. Great sound and some real intimate gigs can be had here. Watched the Young Knives the other night and it was absolutely spot on.
