What an awful experience tonight. Came here after a lovely day out with some friends and family. Ordered a meal each with several drinks. Started with the drinks, took over half an hour to arrive for 2 cokes. Then asked the waiter to check and his response was “it’ll be at least another 10 minutes” The bar was empty, no one serving and no one waiting. I asked if i can speak to a manger and was told no. When our food came out i was completely and utterly disgusted. For the child we ordered a pizza and chips, it was all stone cold to a point where it was inedible. We then had x2 chick and mix meals- both cold, both undercooked and both looked like they were from McDonald’s. Then my friend had a mixed grill- came stone cold, meat wasn’t cooked how he wanted. Came with a raw sausage and hardly cooked tomato. Now the carvery wasn’t too bad but we had ordered extra to share around- The Yorkshire puddings were hard enough to smash on the table. You can see they had been burnt but no effort to discard. They were absolutely disgusting. The waiter had no clue on what food was what. Had to repeat myself at least 2 times and replied extremely rudely. Walking around with a stroppy face. Now the toilets. Women toilets- missing panels to the sink which is a hazard as there are chemicals exposed. Couldn’t lock one of the toilets. Other toilet was out of order. Middle toilet was missing a toilet seat and couldn’t lock the end toilet. Mens toilets- Partner used the toilet at 6pm, reported that there was sick in the sink. Staff member replied with ok and walked off. As we were leaving he used the toilet again (8pm) and there was still sick. Another member of the public was also outraged by this and both reported it to a member of staff and again, nothing was acted upon. The carvery had flies around it. Open sauces that had been there for hours. Flys sitting on the sauces and flying around them. Staff were rudely spoken and just didn’t care. Won’t ever be returning. Extremely dissatisfied.

Well...what a lovely surprise that was! I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much but couldn't have had a nicer experience! 15 of us ate without a single complaint and the staff were friendly without being in your face. It's a busy place so I'd advise booking. They've given the building a wonderful makeover since the days of the dreadful pubs that preceded it and you'll be seated in a large and airy stone and beams building. Very family friendly. Look forward to my return!

Seems a nice enough place, popped in on my lunch break on a Wednesday. They had run out of several of the burger options so had to change my order. Was a bit confusing what was and wasn't available and ended up ordering a burger that wasn't that nice. For some bizarre reason there was macaroni cheese in the "crispy" chicken burger which just made it all soggy and mushy. The chips were reasonable. I ordered a jalapeno cheese bite side. They weren't that nice. Greasy and cheapest of cheese used in there, a very artificial flavour. But I suppose it was a fairly cheap meal so of you aren't too fussy it's serviceable. Staff seem nice enough. The restaurant wasn't overly busy so orders were fairly quick to arrive.

Shambles! Stood where the sign asked us to wait to be seated, along with other parties behind us, all staff seen in busy bar area, we were left waiting a while to be seated so we sat ourselves. Waitress even walked past us to take water outside for a dog at one point. It was quiet in the restaurant side but every table was filthy so we found a cloth/spray to clean the table ourselves. Ordered a kids meal for my toddler, sausages were inedible and had a hair inside when I cut it in half. Second attempt at the meal was also sent back for the same reason.. manager did refund us for the kids meal but overall experience makes us not want to come back! Toilets were absolutely filthy, with a ‘toilet check sheet’ clearly on display for customers to see that no checks had been ticked off for the whole week. No soap available. Locks missing, toilet seats missing, but above all, the basic hygiene is just non existent! A few people also noticed customers being served/allowed to take alcohol into the separate soft play area!!!?Not a good experience overall and I wouldn’t visit again.

Cant believe the way customers speak to the staff here. The gentleman responded calmly where as I wouldn't of been able to contain myself. But back to the business, We had a lovely time and the 2 staff members were very efficient, we were a large group and all our meals were delivered promptly, sadly 1 item was unavailable but the male member explained the reasoning behind this. We left really happy and look forward to future bookings here!!

Me and my family came today ordered food and desert, the carvery was tasteless and watery, the potatoes were soggy, the meat was slimy and fatty. The service was decent some staff members did apologise and change my order after my complaint. As a family of nine we came together to eat together but our food from the menu came over an hour later. £100 pound later we left hungry. Never again.

Was asked to give a review on Wacky Warehouse as soon as I walked in. Bit weird seeing as I had nothing to review yet - but the staff are lovely and always very helpful. My chicken & bacon salad was gross and came less than 2 minutes after ordering… and the little ones food wasn’t great either, but they love it there so I’ll give it 5 stars. I do think it should be cheaper for my 1 year old to attend. It’s the only soft play k know of that doesn’t make it cheaper for the little ones.

The carvery was delicious, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Very busy but didn't take long to get served at all. It was also great to have the softplay nearby so my little girl could work up an appetite first! We'll be back again.

Had a lovely dinner here today, I was being a picky customer and wanted a certain burger but wanted the beef burger swapped with the veggie burger. The lady behind the bar, Faith, was so good in doing this for me and didn't bat an eyelid. It came out perfect and was a great meal. Really appreciated her help and making me not feel like 'that' customer. I'll definitely be back.

I went at lunch time 12:45. Had to take off 2 stars as the roasties were poor I'm afraid. Hard, pale chewy instead of crispy fresh. You gotta get the roasties right! 🤪 Otherwise not bad.

TLDR: ordered through the app and took 25 mins to get drinks. No food arrived after an hour of ordering so cancelled and went elsewhere for food. We ordered via the Green King mobile App as previously we had no issues with it. We visited tonight as a treat and ordered through the app, the restaurant didn't look too busy so we had high hopes as we enjoyed eating at this restaurant before. Unfortunately it took 25 minutes after ordering for the drinks to arrive and there was no food after an hour of ordering. This was not entirely the fault of the front of house staff as they were polite, friendly and worked on the issues as we raised them. As no food arrived after an hour of ordering we cancelled our order at the bar. The staff and the manager were really helpful about it it just put a dampener on the whole evening and we went to get food elsewhere. I will try again in the future but might order at the bar next time as at least I'd get the drinks sooner.

Went here for lunch, mainly because we were near it and hungry. We didn't pre plan or book it was spur of the moment. Friendly atmosphere inside, staff were polite and helpful. We had a carvery, an all day breakfast and 2 kids meals. All of which were good, carvery was fresh aswel. Will definitely go again.

The food was OK, luckily ordered sides as the portion of chips that came with the meal was poor. Plates don't look very well presented. They ran out of burgers which isn't great as it does take up a good section of the menu so that's not well managed. The nachos were burnt and not pleasant to eat. The battered halloumi however was really nice

I don’t usually leave negative reviews and I try to be as reasonable and fair as I possibly can. If I could give this place zero stars or negative, I would. We came for a family meal. The pub looked half empty- but lots of tables still hadn’t been cleaned away and were dirty. When I went to the bar to order our meal there were bar staff in the background Audibly moaning and complaining about how “busy” it was and getting “pissed off can’t we close the kitchen”. We weren’t informed that despite the pub being half empty that we would be waiting nearly an hour for food. Even though I overheard multiple other guests being told that there was a wait. When the food eventually came, the chips that came with the burgers tasted stale and weren’t very warm at all. The burger was assembled as if someone had randomly thrown the ingredients angrily onto the plate inside the bun. The steak we ordered “rare” came out more well done than anything. It was not consumable. We had to send it back. Meanwhile in the background the staff were all still visibly distressed and continued moaning in-front of all the customers about how annoying their job was. I’d love to know how food that takes so long to prepare can taste like it’s been left out for hours and reheated. I’d also love to know how a place that is visibly not busy can cause so much mayhem.

Had lunch with my family today. Bar service was slow even though it was quiet. Ordered food, had to wait a fair while. Carvery was great, gammon not bad, lasagne not bad but salad was soft with edges going brown, clearly past it's best. I ordered a side order of chips which didn't show up even after asking about them!! I had a refund for those, only because I asked for it. Lovely place but had higher hopes for a lovely meal and service. Doubt I will go there again .

The Inn was very busy on a Sunday evening when we visited. Three of our party had the carvery which was ok but there was no roast potatoes and no turkey left at 6pm! Two people had meals from the menu neither were of good quality. Steak not cooked as requested and one meal was missing some of the advertised ingredients. The place was not very clean with rubbish all over the floor. There was no attempt by staff to clear this up. I visited the toilets which were a nightmare a very wet floor with paper everywhere. One toilet totally blocked clearly hadn't been checked for a long time. This was the first time we had visited and we will not be returning. As this was a birthday celebration it was very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Wonderful pub with Greta staff and fantastic food. I love their burger and chips so much, so tasty. My Dad enjoys the cooked dinners. We visit once a week and we love the pub so much

We turned up starving hungry and been told we cant have ANY food but all the beef and turkey were steaming waiting on the side. Cant have any food unless booked, but wait we have money hello. However I called while on the table to book table and food my phone been answered and put on voice mail str8 away couple of times. The ratings of 3.8 at the time is well deserved.

Might be the worst steak I’ve ever had. I’ve had cheap steaks in the past and take them for what they are but this steak was horrible. Not cooked to liking and very odd taste and texture. Chips with solid, onion rings soft. It’s very cheap but even no where near the standard of Wetherspoons. Plus pints are expensive here.

Mixed feelings about this place. I'm somebody who likes to find the positive so,on the positive side chef was doing his best, beef was delicious. But on the negative side turkey was slightly undercooked, chef was trying to do everything due to lack of staff. Veggies were running low and radio was too loud drowning out our conversation! Result, had desert at home, sorry.

I personally wouldn't eat here again. I ordered mac and cheese with a side of pigs in blankets. The mac and cheese tasted like it was from a packet and microwaved - not very nice and definitely not very cheesy. The pigs in blankets looked undercooked (not at all crispy) and had been cut up on top of my food so the bacon was no longer around the sausage. The server who was new to the business, Beth, was amazing and offered me something else. I chose scampi and chips. The scampi was great but the chips were a bit underdone and not hot. I wasn't planning to leave a review but then I went to the ladies' bathroom after eating. Of the 3 stalls, one was out of order, one didn't have a toilet seat and the 3rd the door wouldn't shut so it couldn't be locked. Our server Beth and the person at the carvery, Alex, were really polite and friendly but the food was disappointing and the facilities were dreadful.

They do the most amazing carvery. We had the largest portion of meat .. turkey and gammon .. that we have ever had at any carvery , and it was cut thickly too. We asked if we could have a second Yorkie and was told. " Yes, of course you can". The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be going back again ...and again.
