What a fantastic place for food all those different cuisines in one place, got taken here for a treat by my daughter & son in-law before the Rugby on Saturday wales v all blacks. The food very impressive, such a lot to choose from,I’m having to go back to try the food I didn’t get to try .absolutely delicious hot & tasty .the restaurant lovely & clean, staff very helpful & attentive, well worth a visit especially if you have young children, No reading of menus just walk them round & let them choose. They also have pizzas , chips, jelly oh yeah a massive selection of puddings. Please give it a try . Christmas is coming an ideal place for all the family See my pictures yum

Edit 17.01.2020 Another nighttime visit for a birthday meal and it was great and even took one of my young children Highly recommend the deserts they are great and I've added new pictures. They even have a chocolate fountain now!!! Edit 17.01.2019: Went to the evening version of the buffet tonight and my entire outlook of the service changed, First off every piece of food was piping hot and fresh on the spot. Loved the entire atmosphere where the chef cooks fresh things in front of you and how you like it, the deserts where on another level tonight and I think I tripled upon everything. I didn't manage to get pictures of everything I ate but I got a few of my chicken plates. All the chicken was thoroughly cooked throughout and enjoyed every piece. Also they offer a free birthday meal or buffet as long as you book within 24hours in advance and we luckily had that tonight. Overall evening menu and outlook on food is much better and much better of an experience. Firstly you walk up 2or3 flights of stairs, they make you pay for food the moment you walk through the door which was a little concerning because I had no idea if I liked any of the selection of food that was currently there, 2 adults + unlimited drink was around £25 which was a kick in the teeth especially being presented by nothing as you walked in. The food selections wasn't amazing but it was enough to cater a good amount of people at the time, sadly chicken nuggets, popcorn chicken and rice was very dry and stale but that was down to not refreshing it often. The spicy chicken wings or sauces were actually very nice and I wouldn't complain, the chocolate cake and ice cream was refreshing and the unlimited drinks had a decent selection of about 6-8 things to choose from. Overall if the normal food wasn't dry or hard to chew through I would of given an easy 5 but there also needs to be a menu or some sort of food showcase before paying.

Have been to quite a few JRC in different locations. And this is the worst of the lot. Overpriced, rude staff with empty buffet bars. So, I wound not say 8pm was late for a a Friday night dinner but clearly the staff don't agree. Upon entering and spending our £24/head we are told buffet closes 10.15, teriyaki at 10pm. So, well over 2 hours to eat. When I say eat, I mean survey what was left by the masses if starving crowds before - I guess. As they must have eaten everything, as most buffet cold, dry or just empty. What scrapings there were, did not taste to bad. Only the ice cream and fruit had some semblance of choice. Others will know, but I will not be going back. Perhaps you need to be there when they take out the food for you too eat. But on this occasion they forgot about the customers. Maybe because the lights where so dim, they could not see us. Perhaps if they said , you eat what is left and it is half-price it might just be worth it. No... Save your money and go elsewhere. It is just not worth it.

Where do I start. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We were greeted by a very obnoxious manager called “vj” he was extremely rude and condescending. How he spoke to me and my family was not professional at all he actually made us initially not want to proceed with our booking. after poorly explains their bizarre policy of charging a 3 year old £11 because of his height. Another guy popped out called Andrew young claiming he was the owner of the restaurant and they all tried teaming up against me while I questioned their ethics and how they are speaking to customers. The rest of the experience unfortunately followed suit with the reception part, the food was okay a lot of it was still cold really dry or over cooked. It is definitely not worth £22pp. The chairs are all falling apart and peeling and the ceiling is leaking. They made a make shift bucket with tissue stuffed inside, right behind a customers table. I would highly recommended avoiding this restaurant, it is not family friends nor is it child friendly. There’s many more beautiful places to go to at the bay that will be a lot more suitable.

Updating my review from 3 stars to 4, upon another visit... Well organised and good service. Food had a lot more variety, was hot and the place was really clean with consistent cleaning and clearing. Taste seems to have improved. Previous review from about 2 years ago: Food didn't taste that amazing, especially for the price. The usual options but the dessert was not great tasting nor well presented.

First time I've been here and won't be the last. Looks small from the outside but huge inside . Foods from the 4 corners of the world in Cardiff bay. Book to avoid disappointment 👍. Went back for a 2nd visit and the choice has vastly improved with a chef cooking fresh beef steaks and lamb chops infront of you .

I don't go to all-you-can-eats very often but this is definitely one of the better ones. The food is fresh, tasty and the variety is really good. There is a mix of Asian, Indian, Italian and Thai to name a few that I can remember. There is also no skimping on what other all-you-can-eats would usually shy away from as it costs more. You can eat scallops, crab and prawns. At one point they put out a whole fish! I'd definitely be back here again as I really felt I got good value for money.

I love JRC!!! Though the food quality and selection could be better but it’s defo a deal with the price being around £24.00 for all you can eat and soft drinks per person. The Chinese food section is amazing, love their sweet and sour chicken, noodles, dumplings and bao buns. Also the sushi is on point!!! They have Indian and some Mediterranean food as well. You get an hour and 40 mins to eat. I’d suggest going on a weekday for a calmer experience, with no hurry. They also have a good selection of fruits and desserts.

I would personally not call this a “global” buffet. You pay before you go around the corner and no wonder they do this as around the corner is barely a “buffet” !! It has Indian, Chinese, Fish, Salad and Pizza. That’s it. The food was OK. The curry dishes were like soup/water absolutely gross. Garlic bread was dry as anything. I understand it’s a buffet and food is left out however you’d still expect it to be half decent. The ribs were SUPER tough to get off the bone. The Profiteroles were soggy, didn’t even eat them after one small bite. Not sure what was in the onion rings but looked more like fish than onion… The drink refill machine also did not work so paid for “refill” drinks that’s we could not even have. (I asked for a refund and they did refund us for our drinks) Would not recommend, there are far better places to have a meal for £22. I compare this to Za Za Bazaar in Bristol which is 10000% better in my opinion.

A welcome return of the best buffet chain around. Covid safe now with attendants to help you pick food, (touch point control!). Price has gone up a little but what can we expect after a year closed.

I have been to quite a few of these places and I found the London one okay. Unfortunately most of these are on the first floor and are extremely difficult for senior citizens to climb up and enjoy the food. Unfortunately, the Lifts are there only for cosmetic purposes, since I have found them out of service in most of the places. A few of the food items did not seem fresh. The Indian food section did not have the real Indian taste. They seemed more bland than ever. I did try to ask for some hot chilies oil to try to make them a little more Indian spicy, but couldn’t find any help either. Because the place seemed a little short staffed. Nonetheless I think I still managed to enjoy and thank you again.

Worst restaurant i have ever visited in my life, staff were friendly and i have nothing bad to say about the place, but the food was absolutely horrid. Theres was barely a selection, the indian section was not refreshed the whole time we were there, the same section served the driest, chewiest calamari i have ever had, the rice had dried out to the point i nearly chipped a tooth. The chinese section was alright, the beef was chewy as hell though. The prawns were frozen mush that had been reheated, the tepanyaki station looked appealing but the food was cooked for so long it was dry and rubbery, apart from the lamb chop which was just on the brink of cooked. The desserts looked appealing as you can see in the photo, 3 were ok, the rest tasted like water or nothing. Pizza was meh. Most of the seafood smelt very unappetising. The chicken from the chinese section was the texture of gelatin. All in all the best thing was the free lemonade refills and the hot plates... I feel bad leaving such an awful review for the food as the service was lovely, our table was always clean and the staff were very welcoming, but unfortunately the food was... god awful, i pretty much tried one of everything i would normally be excited to try so to leave that dissatisfied was quite the shock to me.

I really enjoyed the place and it was buffet and as it was my wife’s birthday they gave my wife a free meal. We really enjoyed the whole dinner. It costs us 29.60 GBP for the entire buffet including drinks. Most we loved the seafood items, Crabs were really good. And I loved the live squid. There was not that much option for salad. Sushi was good but I was missing the maki rolls. In a whole I would it is a worth visit in the nice cardiff bay area

Have been here a few times, as perfect for birthdays as its free meal for them, little offer of getting free all you can eat food for your birthday is lovely. Loves the food always fresh and warm, usually going in the evening/night. The chef section is my favourite being able to chose fresh meats/seafood options to be cooked right in front of you. Only let down is the desserts ! Most of the time they aren't fully stocked so not many options but fresh fruit and ice cream is always available.

Standard all you can eat. £22.50 pp All in all an okay experience. I'd highly recommended booking in advance as the place gets extremely busy and that can leave you waiting for a seat for some time. They offer a wide range of food from Chinese, Indian, British and more. The food stalls are always topped up and its pretty easy to get up and get more food when needed. I believe you have a maximum time you can stay but this isn't really a concern unless your planning on eating you body weight in food or get all your monthly calories in. The experience wasn’t amazing, we went on a Friday night. There’s a bit to choose from, mainly Chinese and Indian foods, The Chinese was delicious with tasty duck with pancakes, crispy tender chicken and great noodles and fried rice dishes! The sushi counter was limited, but the taste was out of this world! The steaks, squid etc were limited to two per person, you wouldn’t want two pieces as it was terrible! The website clearly says twelve or so different types of food cuisines, clearly not! The deserts were absolutely terrible, some much plastic wasted! Cakes were extremely dry and ice cream was flavourless. By the way, the unlimited drinks were an absolute rip off as the drinks were warm (Cola, water, squash). £26 each plus £4 for unlimited drinks, rip off. 3/5 as Chinese and Sushi was delicious, but not as advertised it’s not a “global buffet”.

Lovely place. I do think they could offer more choices. But still has a bit for everyone. Cleanliness is always great. You have 90minutes from arrival which is a downfall. Also have a scheme where your birthday meal is free along as you can provide proof!

Definitely won't be returning. The majority of dishes (rice / noodles /sauce /sweet and sour chicken) were all cold. The chicken in the curries wasn't nice, it had a rubbery texture to it and the sauces didn't have a very nice flavour. There wasn't enough variety. The desserts were a complete let down, its a bit hard to describe but they all had a similar sort of unappetising taste. Only thing I enjoyed was the fried chicken strips. Completely disappointed and definitely feel it was not worth £21. Customer service was so-so, decor and layout of the building is nice, it's a shame, if they got better ingredients/suppliers and took more care and attention to cooking/serving the food better it would have potential to be a good restaurant, a shame it wasn't.

Upping my rating since the last visit. Went out here with the family just before Christmas and the quality of food had definitely improved. Lots to choose from and the kids enjoyed it, especially the mini desserts!

If I could give 0 stars I would, this place was horrific for our first time visit. The cutlery and drinking glasses were dirty, We got our tables swapped 3 times!! Due to them seating new people in our seats while we were up serving our plates!!!! The only drink options were water, juice or squash due to no fizzy drink machines working. But the water machine was empty. The staff were rude and were continuously taking our plates and cutlery- even when we were not finished!!!! The shrimp were not cleaned but coated!!! Absolutely disgusting. The toilets and tables were so dirty and to top it off The price is horrid for these circumstances. £22 per head. Me and my partner are both feeling sick to our stomachs!!

Great food, a variety of choices of food and drinks and plenty of space that you can bring all the girls/boys you “dm’ed” in instagram for a group date. The big bangers were the Chinese and Indian cuisine, give them chefs a pat on the back. Would come back here in a much better attire as I came here wearing a tracksuit and a hoodie and my partner said “you went back to the motherland.” Which I have no idea what he means??

No stars Disgusted with how we were treated as a family birthday outing meal. We were celebrating my nieces birthday and we were a group of 5 but only 4 to eat as my 71 old mother doesn't eat the food but wanted to share the day out. My sister is disabled and needed my mum with her and my 71 year old mum was happy to order a drink but we were told if she don't eat she don't go in and she would have to sit n the waiting area for us😳..... shocking. No understand, no empathy. Manager was not very helpful or sympathetic to our situation would not recommend or ever return to this restaurant!

All you can eat buffet, Wide selection of Chinese and Indian foods. Could have been a little fresher, the staff member frying squid, whitefish, steak, or king prawns, seemed totally uninterested in engaging with customers and was constantly touching, face, whilst cooking, could do no evidence he had any intent to wash his hands. Food was a little bland, nothing I could say stood out as delicious. £21 per head, I won't return for a while, was really looking forward to buffet dining after lockdown.

I had high hopes of this place, thought it would be nice atmosphere and good food. The food was nice, it was decent value for money, but the atmosphere was dead, no music playing, just the sound of an extractor. The welcome was none existent, and just got told I have an hour and half to get in and get out, waiting staff and chefs pleasant. Bit stingy on the Teppanyaki, one visit and only two items, could have been better. Tables all lined up like a factory canteen and just zero feeling to the place. Wouldn’t go again just for the lack of atmosphere and way it seems to be run.

I'm not normally one to do a bad review but I don't want anyone to have the experience we did on Wednesday. We went here due to a family member trying a global buffet elsewhere and recommending us. We were hungry and excited to get in to the restaurant. After trying some of the dishes we discovered the dishes had very little taste and they were very dry and there were limited choices. We realised that the food wasn't being replenished very promptly either. We decided to try to leave early and get a partial refund which was declined. We thought the desserts would maybe salvage our meal but we were wrong, the fridges weren't even on and the ice cream was still soft like a mousse. We will not be returning and would have liked some sort of refund for our over £50 spent! Avoid.

  • 2/5 Emma R. 10 months ago on Google
There is plenty of choice at this buffet but we were disappointed with the quality of food. We visited here a few years ago and we feel like the quality has declined since our last visit. For approx £25 a person we definitely didn’t feel like we got value for money so are unlikely to return.

  • 1/5 Laura a. 1 year ago on Google
Most of the food was cold. The soda was flat and don't have a lot of drink choices, for being in the UK you would think they had a gin & tonic but no such luck. The only good thing was the desert but ice cream was molten and too soft. You have 1.45h to eat we left after 50min will not go again.

The place is just so lovely with varieties of foods. All the foods that I tried was delicious. I wish I could taste all but I was full. Next time, l would like to taste remaining foods. The staffs are also friendly and cooperative. Simply Loved it. Overall a good experience 👌

Had been to this place on my mates birthday and we were fairly satisfied with the overall experience. Had a variety of choices for non-vegetarians and would definitely suggest to try king prawns and noodles. Recommended to visit on the weekdays as it was very busy on the weekend.
