As I arrived early, there was no line. I ordered the today's special (beef with black pepper) and it was outstanding! The price is also affordable. I am so pleased that I had the chance to try out this popular local sandwich shop while staying in this city.

Easily the best baguettes you'll find. The queues just show how good it is. The number 6 with chicken, Salami, Salami Cracklin and Truffle mayo is my favourite, easily the best baguette I've ever had Cakes are great too so make sure you grab a slice.

If the queue outside every Monday-Friday, doesn't confirm this as the greatest lunch spot in Cardiff.. The incredible Baguettes do, the Friday Indian special is just that. Highly recommend it. Also anything with Salami Crackling, or the beef and peppercorn sauce special is also delicious. Great service and staff are so attentive and friendly.

Can't believe I've never been here before. Brilliant variety of fillings (I had a no.10) and a quality fresh baguette at a price cheaper than a meal at McDonalds. Eat healthy and support a local business - friendly staff too!

Simply THE go to place for lunch when in Cardiff, can't fault the lady who works her tiny little socks off making the best sandwiches in the UK. She makes the greatest flavour combinations and always with a very best level of customer service. Worth every penny, and only 5 minutes walk from the Cardiff central station.

I've visited this place several times, usually have the number 16, shown in the picture, which is absolutely delicious! It is takaway only, and despite how many other places there are around that sell foodstuffs, there is normally a queue. This goes down quickly I'm happy to say & the team that own/work there are always friendly & efficient. It is quite simply the nicest baguette I've even eaten, every time I go. :o)

Fresh is one of my beloved places in Cardiff. The staff is lovely, and the menu has space for experimentation and diverse tastes. Try number 6 first, then the Wednesday special (each day, there is a different one), and also try ordering on brown bread!

I cannot remember the last time I had a baguette this nice, a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian options. Very reasonable prices and truly fresh food. Fresh, fast, and affordable what more can you ask for.

Simply the best place to get lunch in Cardiff, deserves a second review. Service is 10/10 every time no matter how busy and the consistency in the food just puts this place ahead of anywhere else. The beef special with peppercorn dunker on a Wednesday is the holy grail of baguettes.

This small sandwich shop based in the Arcades will more than likely have a queue outside, they make it easy to order ahead up to a day in advance, to walk in and pick up to skip the queues. A large selection to choose from the specials board, tasty fresh ingredients to fill either a white or brown baguette.

Best of the best! All staff work really hard to cater to the huge queues they have on a daily basis. Always friendly, helpful and make you feel a part of the fresh family within 30 seconds of entering the building. Delicious freshly made baguettes with the best and biggest selection in Cardiff. Cakes are fabulous (especially lemon pistachio). Absolute legends!

People who order 20 baguettes should only be allowed to do telephone orders. Could be 10 people in the queue but really theres 30. However the food is top quality so is the price and staff/owners.

I have to be honest I have been a long time customer of fresh and always spoke highly about it but I find it hard to go and visit nowadays. Baguettes are nice but it feels like value for money has slipped recently. £8 for the Christmas special is very expensive for a baguette. The queue situation is also getting very silly at this point, it is often a wasted visit as I have to walk past and that is not a great sign for a business surely? I appreciate the mindset of people still queue why should we worry but surely you should worry that loyal customers have to abandon going there numerous times due to the queue. At times I don’t feel it is because of the amount of people, it is because the man on the till is doing stuff like getting the bread out, putting the bread in etc whilst 2/3 baguettes are waiting to be packaged and 2/3 people are waiting causing a massive bottle neck! Could someone else not do this? Surely you can do better guys or have a rethink on how best to approach it as I am being put off visiting fresh these days and have been numerous times!!

I am still trying to find a baguette or salad I do not enjoy from this place. I have been unsuccessful so far. 10/10 very friendly staff and the baguette's are the best in the UK, with great prices. I take everyone that comes to visit me to try and the feedback is always incredible. Keep the amazing work

I can honestly say that they make the best baguettes I've ever eaten! Seriously they are soooo good... Beef spesh is a favourite - we even missed it soo much that we would recreate in lockdown slow roasting a joint of beef for the sole purpose, just so we had that fresh feeling at home, but alas it just wasn't the same! Such a gem in the heart of our city! ♥️ U FRESH XOXO

Surprised to see this as one of the top rated places in Cardiff but decided to stop in for lunch and it deserves the rating. Loads of choice amazing quality. Very friendly staff who talked us through the menu even though it was a busy lunchtime. I recommend stopping by on Friday for their best selling curried chicken baguette!

Simply the best baguette shop in the whole of South Wales (probably mid and north wales included). The brown baguette is the best ive ever tasted and the selection of ingredients you can never get bored of this place. Beef special on a Wednesday is a must. Not to mention the customer service is personable and they always have time for you no matter how big the que. If anyone says there is better baguettes in Cardiff they're lying!

We had a short queue when we went but it would have been worth the wait even if longer. Incredible baguette, both bread and fillings. The layers of flavours that they choose are perfectly balanced and we will make sure to visit here on future visits to Cardiff. We got both of the specials they had on for the day.

Undeniably the best baguette ever. Freshness and fillings overload. Every baguette is freshly made. More than 20 choices including vegan to choose from. Did have a hard time choosing which one to try. Finally set on the parma ham baguette, fresh, full of flavours and just unbeatable in terms of quality.

Couldn't decide what to get, as menu looked soooo nice. Me and a friend decided to get one each and then share half and half so we could taste both. Staff super friendly and cut our baguettes and put half and half in the baguette bag for us, without having to ask. So this made it so much easier to eat. After following the shop on insta for many months, the wait was definitely worth it, BEST baguette we've ever had. Bread and fillings so fresh and the staff being so friendly made the 10 minute que worth waiting for. Don't let the que put you off.

Heard this was the best baguette in Cardiff. No lies told. Simply amazing. Soft and moist inside and crunchy outside. Had the pastrami and it was extremely satisfying. Will definitely be visiting again when in town.

First timer here - number 6, which was recommended to me and my friends as the first baguette was a perfect sandwich - perfect amount of the sauce, flavourful salami and parmigiano, fresh chicken, perfect amount of black pepper - wonderful, definitely one of the best foods in Cardiff.

Came across this place on the internet and seen all the reviews and thought I’d give it a go was in a bit of a rush today and there was a que outside but within 5 mins the que had gone and I’d been served and on my way again staff was friendly great options and without a doubt the number 19 chicken mayo bacon pastrami crackling and red onion with black pepper was 10/10 hands down the best baguette I have ever tasted in my life will be back soon without a doubt

I tried the baguette sandwich on brown bread and every menu I tried are tasty and fresh! Their baguttes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, I don't mind eating only the bagutte itself. I don't normally reviewing the food I had but this place is worst it!
