Visited for lunch with my wife prior to going to see a show in Saint Davids Hall. Had gammon steak and chips which cost £11.95 and was cooked perfectly. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and bar staff were very friendly giving good customer service. Drinks were reasonably priced considering the location. There is a disabled toilet downstairs which you have to ask the bar staff for the key. The only downside was the distance to the men's and women's toilet's They were up several steep flights of stairs then along a long corridor which for those people in a rush to use them may find it an annoyance.

Upstairs private dine. Good food choice , service slow but okay . Food tasty . Friendly staff . Don't like service charge being added but it was pointed out , Deducted and gave cash instead. I'd go again.

The service was great, front of house was very welcoming, however our table was unwiped on arrival. The food was tasty however all of our chips were on the burnt side. When we asked for the bill the deposit we paid had been left off and we were also disappointed to see that mixers were an additional charge.! We did enjoy our desserts and the waitress was extremely helpful .

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch during a Christmas Shopping trip. We went in on the off chance but weren't hopeful of getting a table as it was a very busy day. However the guy who met us was very friendly and accommodating and found us a table. So glad he did because the roast lunch was beautiful and the service great. We had a lovely couple of hours and would definitely go again.

Apart from chateaubriand no other steaks available despite being clearly shown in the menu. Very surprising for a city centre venue on a busy Thursday evening. However the food we had was good, well prepared and served.

Nice drinks and good selection of food. We emerge a group fo 3 couples. We had beer and cocktails and then a meal. All served in relaxed time, not rushed. Shared started, main meals and desserts very good

Lovely little pub that we haven't been in before. We had gone to the rugby and present booked a table. Staff were really friendly even tho it was absolutely rammed. Food arrived quickly and was very nice.

Booked an outdoor for Saturday early evening. After being shown to our table, a 'lively' party of people came and sat opposite which was absolutely fine. The gentleman who was supervising the terrace area came up to us and said he had just cleared a table in a quieter part of the terrace if we wanted to move, which we did as we were out for a quiet drink and bite to eat. We really appreciated the attentiveness of the staff member. All our food and drinks were ordered and brought out to us promptly. Food was lovely and hot. Thank you Corner house for another lovely couple of hours, this wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last.

You have a very nice place and our waiter was great. With our party of 8 everyone liked what they ordered and was very accommodating with people with food allergies. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was we felt the food took too long to come our of kitchen. Highly recommend the Corner House!

I booked the restaurant 3 days in advance for a special occasion only to be told on arrival that they dont open on Monday, we were offered a table downstairs which is not as special but we agreed. Once we had reviewed the menu we were told pork, lamb and chicken not available. We left and went to Bills instead. Bills was amazing, 10/10 for everything. Very disappointed with Corner House as on previous visit it was lovely so i booked as it was a rare evening out with my sister who has now left UK to return to Australia

What a cracking pub, the food was extreme...dare I say but the best burgers me and my friends/family have ever had. If we are ever back again from New Zealand will definitely call in again.

We went to the Corner house for our Team Christmas meal. Good was excellent, the Turkey was proper Turkey and not the usual plastic processed meat often served. The cocktails were very good, the ice slow melting in my old fashioned and plenty of strength to my Margarita. Pints of beer pretty expensive though. Service police and efficient, special shout out to Rhoda who looked after us. Atmosphere only let down because we were there early, 4pm and no other people to add to the atmosphere. Visited a second time 2 days later and it was horrendous, never again

Went for a friend's big birthday, they did a nice celebration plate as we requested for the birthday girl, a lovely touch. The food and cocktails ( and shots) were fab. We'll done to the Corner House a superb show of service.

Well located in centre of cardiff, and indoor and outdoor seating areas have a nice aesthetic that makes you feel like you're not in the city centre. Service was quick. Food tasty, and well priced for cardiff city centre. Nice cocktail menu, again well priced for location. Desserts particularly recommended. Option to order online using QR code at the table.

Most elements of the experience were excellent. My wife's steak was poor, we have had better at low end restaurants. The wine was expensive but well worth paying.

What a fantastic pub, the service was friendly and excellent and they're very attentive to allergens, the beer was fresh and nice and the roast dinner was one of the best I've had. Can't wait to come back 😍

Really delicious Sunday roast at reasonable prices. Really nice pub which was very calm when I visited. Best gravy I've tasted in years!

Lovely venue in the heart of the city. Historic building easy walking distance from our home. This was our first time at Corner House, we had a couple cocktails and a nibble, which were delicious. The bar staff was friendly and served us in a timely manner. We will definitely return for a meal or Sunday Roast as the menu had many options that looked appealing.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left ( we stayed 7 hours) we made to feel welcome and the staff couldn't do enough. Friendly, polite and great service. Food was gorgeous

Finally came here after we decided to rearrange our original visit back in March 2020 just before everything shut down and had decided before it was official the best thing to do was cancel the visit ourselves in order to save ourselves the heartbreak of it getting cancelled at the last second and it was the right decision! I really enjoyed my brunch here and the staff were nice but the drinks I thought were steep for what you received and I am happy to come back again in the future. I feel very strongly about never taking anything for granted again as tomorrow isn't guaranteed to anyone.

Nice atmosphere. Outside seating. Good mohito's. Food looked good, didn't try this time, but no waste going back to kitchen. Ordered drinks on app, served quickly, even though it was busy.

Not very clean, table very sticky and not cleaned between customers. Very busy but the food, as always was quickly served and delicious. I think they were just extremely busy at the time we visited. Staff lovely and app easy to use.

I tried to order several things on the food menu and was told they didn't have them. Then tried a cocktail off the seasonal menu, simple old fashioned, and they said they couldn't make it. It's not a complicated drink and doesn't have many ingredients and I could see all of them on the bar so I didn't understand why they couldn't make it. So we went somewhere else.

Didn't have a full menu, but can't fault the service. The staff were excellent and did everything they could to make our visit very lovely. Grace was brilliant.

Great visit last night, we were looked after by Taylor and Elliot, we were just after some quick cocktails before a reservation elsewhere. Elliot passed us a food menu to have a look at for future reference but we ended up staying for food instead of going to the restaurant we originally booked. Thank you all for a great night.

Although from the outside this might look like a standard pub, inside there’s a delightful upmarket restaurant to be discovered. The staff are wonderful, giving an incredible welcome and professional service throughout our visit. Our group was seated upstairs in a great spot, with a view towards the open kitchen. The table was a good size, decorated nicely and the seats decent for a lengthy meal. The menu was large and had a good range - most people should be able to find something to suit. The prices were also reasonable for the setting. Orders were taken professionally and the dishes arrived in good time. Food was presented well and tasty, although the asparagus with the fishcakes was significantly over cooked. Throughout the staff remained attentive and were really good at spotting empty drinks and refilling. The atmosphere was really good, despite being upstairs and it worked well for a group and special occasion. For a more casual occasion or as a couple the tables by the bar downstairs are also ideal. I left impressed and would certainly return for a proper meal, especially on more of an ‘occasion’. The staff won me over and the setting is great.

First up, great service from Grace and Kelly who looked after a big and slightly unwieldy group so well, we really appreciate their work. Food here was absolutely amazing and the place managed our orders so well, especially considering it's an autumn international weekend so town was packed. The steaks were incredible and the desserts delightful. A shame that some of our drinks had to be in plastic cups but I appreciate that's probably out of their control. Loos are a long way from the main bar area and weren't in the best state but this is the only minor comment on an otherwise really lovely evening. Would absolutely come here to eat again

Had a really beautiful lunch there. Great service and lovely staff. Everyone of them was very welcoming. They have a great wine list too with some exciting wines by the bottle and lots of outdoor seating that would be great for summer. My pizza was delicious and the Brownie for afters was very tasty. Would very much recommend.

We waited 25 minutes for our drinks order to be taken at our table as we were not allowed to order at the bar. However, the bar staff seemed happy to serve to men at the bar. Not women though! We were told the drinks order would be taken at our tables. Food was lovely. Waitress was very attentive. Think her name was Grace? It was busy... and I'm sure there are still rules in place... but jeez.... it was quite painful at times!

Popped in for some lunch today and was met by a lovely man called Ellis, straight away we were met with good smells and friendly service. The drinks were absolutely beautiful and the food tasted just as good as it smelt which was matched by the positive energy from all of the staff! Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and will 100% be coming back soon.

We visited for an early dinner before going to a concert. Fabulous food! Perfectly cooked fish and melt in the mouth steak. Our server, Alice, was wonderful, she was attentive without being intrusive. We will be going back.

Ate here yesterday before going to the Bryan Adams concert. Booked the table in advance no problems with that table was reserved. The young lady who looked after us was delightful. She was chatty attentive and clearly very good at her job. I ate the belly pork with scallops and my husband had sea bass. The food arrived quickly and was outstanding that was all washed down with a few beers. Lovely experience made all the better by the staff will return. Thanks all.

We had a bottomless brunch on a Saturday and were really impressed with the service and the speed of it! Pub has a great seating area at one of the busiest cross sections of Cardiff. Food was really nice. The only downside which cannot be changed is the stairs - a very long journey on some tiny steps - best not to navigate after a few drinks!

First visit last night and so pleased to have found a place in the city centre with such a lovely atmosphere, excellent food and drinks with delightful staff. We were served by Simon who was helpful, polite and professional as well as constantly smiling and making us feel that we were the only table he had to serve. Will definitely be returning to sample more of the lovely menu. Can’t recommend the Passionfruit Eton Mess highly enough. Great start to our evening.
