Very nice harvester! It’s quite hidden in Cardiff bay, but worth making a visit. The restaurant is very clean and bright. Seating is spacious and doesn’t feel cramped at all. We had no problem finding a table and didn’t need to book in advance. Food was nice, we ordered the three course meal and didn’t need to wait long between servings. Salad bar was fresh and had a good selection. Had a great time and will visit again.

Casey the waitress did a fantastic job with our large Birthday group. She was helpful and very pleasant and happy. The food was very tasty. Plenty of vegetarian options available. We used the set menu deal (available Friday to Sunday after 5pm) which saved alot of money for our large group. Set meals were £13.99 2 courses and £15.99 for 3 courses. The food was plentiful and tasty. Unlimited fizzy drinks available here too. We also had a few jugs of water (large bottles). Food was fresh and tasty.

The food (despite being given something I didn't order) was good quality and tasted great. However the skewers arrived on a red hot metal rod with no warning of the temperature, and no easy way to remove the meat/veg meaning I burnt my hands a few times. After we had finished our dessert it took 45mins for our bill to arrive which I feel could be improved

I have given a five star because I think it deserves it. Its not competing with the Ritz,The Strand Palace or even a Gordon Ramsey restauraunt, but it is true to what it claims to be,a family friendly chain restauraunt so I am giving it a 5 star for being just that.I had a breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. I am funny about my fried eggs and they were perfect, the baked beans had juice not the usual over cooked beans but fresh. The staff were wonderful from front of house to the cook, everyone was friendly and willing to help. I do not know why I have stayed away for so long but I have now returned to being a regular customer. I have to mention the quirky little milk bottles you get with a mug of tea, loved it.

Wow! They have seriously upped their game! The mighty mixed grill for 20 bucks is ridiculous! Tasty and as you can see most definitely wholesome 🤦‍♂️😂 Service was top class too. Next time I'm coming back to Barry, rest assured I'll be back with more friends and family.

I came to the harvester with my family and my server Lily was so helpful! She gave us some of her recommendations as we were having trouble picking and was very welcoming to us. She was very easy to talk to and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, I will definitely be coming back!

Went to harvester today, lovely experience!! Was extremely busy but staff were communicative and polite. I had the gammon, was perfectly cooked and tasted lovely, partner had the ultimate combo and thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be going again. Thank you!!!!

Great meal at the newly revamped cardiff bay Harvester! Staff are super friendly, our Waiter was Ashley and I couldn't fault him! Food was amazing! My only complaint is they didn't bring back the Cherry Pie on their new menu!!!

The most polite and helpful staff, awesome food and excellent service, not just this time but every time. The restaurant was busy but we were found a table with a little one without a booking, food was again excellent and came out at a good pace considering it was busy/school holidays. Great value and every member of staff that spoke to us was very polite and made us feel welcome.

Exactly what they claim to be. Perfect pub lunch. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Clean toilets, can order on the app or at the bar. Lovely beer garden for the summer. Only downfall is occasionally the wait times can be long when waiting for drinks for food.

The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived however this did not affect the service provided during our time there. Staff were pleasant and helpfully. Food was great and we didn’t have to wait long considering how busy it was. I will definitely be going again.

We went for the lunch at Harvester. Ordered the the ultimate grill and a starter. The salad bar was really great. Overall food was beyond expectations and the interior was very pleasing. We were served by Anna and she was amazing. She did a great job. We will definitely visit again.

Really love this place. We go once a week for breakfast and they have a very good healthy option which to be fair me and not one of my friends or me eat as we absolutely love the unlimited breakfast. It's cooked fresh and brought to your table so no pot luck on how warm and tasty it would be if you went to a buffet place. Eat their in the evenings there as well as again a really good choice of food and I have never had a bad meal there. Staff are helpful and friendly and it feels like more of a family run place than a big chain

Recently refurbished October 2022 , staff were very helpful and friendly , salad bar was well stocked with fresh produce and I thoroughly enjoyed my rack of ribs and dirty fries. 5/5 👍🏼😎⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was lucky enough to see the Harvester on the Too Good To Go app and managed to get 2 'bags' for collection at 9pm. Me and my friend had half a rotisserie chick each (lush), salad with dressing and 2 bread rolls for... £3.99 each! Absolutely delicious and enjoyed it in the comfort of my own home. Loads of delicious food for a steal.

It was lovely, clean, food came quickly, was hot, well presented, salad was lovely but the selection wasn't as much as usual. Waiter was polite, good with the kids and was very helpful. We were all very satisfied and had a lovely evening. Definitely go again.

  • 4/5 Kate L. 10 months ago on Google
You get what you pay for, chain pub food at a reasonable price - always expect lots of kids so good for families. Salad bar is poor, nothing like it used to be with very limited selection and not the part bake bread like it used to be, dry and stale rolls. Staff were lovely and service great but just very bog standard. Again, you get what you pay for and only went as thought it the better option to a McD's where we were with limited time.

This place has certainly gone up in my estimation! Been there 3 times in last month and every time the food has been fantastic. Easy to book, servers are helpful and efficient, just a great overall experience. Value for money as well! Harvester has had a bad rep in past but this one is brilliant, I don't know about the others but hopefully they should be all on same level.

Excellent visit for dinner tonight. Compliments to the chef as the food was excellent. Our waitress erin was very friendly attentive and happy to help. Also the manager on shift (I think his name was Mike?) gave us a great welcome and goodbye.

My family and I recently visited Harvester Cardiff Bay and while we enjoyed the food and atmosphere, the service was a bit slow. We found ourselves waiting longer than expected to place our order and receive our food. However, despite the wait, the staff were friendly and kind throughout our visit. They apologized for the delay and did their best to make sure we were comfortable while we waited. When our meals did arrive, they were delicious and well-presented. The portion sizes were generous and we all left feeling satisfied. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the location. Overall, Harvester Cardiff Bay is definitely worth a visit for the tasty food and pleasant atmosphere, just be prepared for a slight delay in service. The staff's kindness and friendliness make up for any inconvenience caused by longer wait times.

Me and my family came here for a family birthday meal the other day and it was excellent. The food was lovely and tasty, and I must say our experience was really made by our lovely and polite server Ella. She helped us with recommendations on what to eat and made sure we had the best possible time! She is an asset to the harvester😄

Great birthday meal today for the man who normally never smiles. Service by Angelo was perfect. We wish him the best as he takes time off to travel the world.

Staff are lovely. Went for breakfast and it's good value but middling quality. Place just felt a bit dirty too. Sticky tables and in need of a deep clean. Nothing too bad so don't want to be too negative, just felt a bit tired.

  • 5/5 Nadine C. 4 months ago on Google
The food was lovely and hot when it got to us, the salad is always a big thing for me, sad to see they didn’t have any olives that day but everything else was full, a bit pricey for a herbal tea. £2.99 for a tea bag in a cup of water. Not even a teapot but my Husband and I are regulars to the Harvester and have been visiting weekly recently, we also enjoyed the breakfast the week before.

We popped in after a trip to Cardiff. It wasn't busy that evening and we were seated immediately. Usual salad starters for us, red devil sauce to die for. Decent size main course. Too full for a dessert. Clean and tidy restaurant.

  • 5/5 Emma B. 4 months ago on Google
My son ordered the ribs but he didn’t like the colour. He’s autistic and didn’t understand that they were fully cooked and that the colour was fine. The waitress, Kath, was wonderful! She explained the cooking process to him and asked the chef to cook them a bit more. When he still didn’t like them, she gave him time to decide if he wanted them cooked even more or if we would take them to go. She was incredibly kind and patient.

I bought a beef hamburger, very tasty, well seasoned, juicy meat. The dessert was amazing, the ice cream was very good. The place is cozy and atmospheric. I recommend.

Food was spot on, service was slow but going at 6pm its peak time so to be expected. Waitress very polite and apologized for slow service but as she was nice all was forgiven 😁

The staff couldn't have done more to make sure my mothers food was allergen safe. Honestly, the best service we've had ever for my mother.

Went to this location with the family today our server Katie was amazing she was super helpful! We had an amazing time and some lovely food but the star of the show was definately Katie she was brilliant with my little girl and was very knowledgeable and attentive especially as I have a gluten intolerance, she made us feel comfortable and we knew we were in good hands.

  • 4/5 Mark B. 2 years ago on Google
Salad bar bread rolls were stale but otherwise food was good and our waitress was very helpful. I also think that restaurants these days are far too expensive but that's in general. It' a shame Harvester isn't overall that bit more affordable like it used to be in comparison to similar restaurant chains.

Food was lovely and for our first dinning out experience in well over a year we couldn't of asked for better service. Tables well away from other customers and mask worn when getting up. We were escorted to the salad bar where they serve you the salad to keep it low contact. Felt very safe and really enjoyed out visit and food!

  • 5/5 Callum R. 2 years ago on Google
Very friendly and helpful staff! Even with all the restrictions that come as part and parcel with visiting restraints/pubs at the moment they made it very easy to follow guidelines and kept everything flowing smoothly. Food was good and had a decent selection of vegan and vegetarian food as well. Thank you for a lovely day out!

We popped in for the breakfast option, was not disappointed.. went for the ultimate option ! FANTASTIC 👏 enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were friendly and polite, really helpful. Well done, will definitely be back for more.

Nice restaurant the staff were friendly. The food was delicious however the previously lovely warm bread rolls are now served cold. Which is a bummer as I lover them hot it was the signature dish if you ask me. The salad bar is stocked and plentiful however, with COVID-19 measures the staff accoma0ny you and serve you the salad ans give you the bowl once complete. I suppose to reduce cross contamination which is understandable.... however, COVID-19  is airborne too so not so bulletproof.

We've had dinner here a few times and the food has always been nice (and all staff have been really nice and friendly). But we had breakfast here for the first time today and I'm proper impressed by how good it was. Big portions, really tasty and fresh food, and unbelievably good value (I paid less than £9 for vegan breakfast with unlimited toast, unlimited coffee, and a glass of orange juice). It doesn't get any better than that! Thank you Katie for the lovely service. We'll be back many more times I'm sure.

Such great service! Well done team. As soon as I walked through the door, me and my partner was welcomed with a friendly manner, seen to straight away and was dealt with in such an reasonable amount of time. My partner wanted to change a few things on the menu and that was no problem!!

Restaurant was full on arrival, manager was very helpful as we had a six week old baby with us. Amy our waitress went above and beyond to assist. A true asset to any company she works for . Social skills were brilliant. Between the manager and Amy we thoroughly enjoyed

I used to live Harvester and I've been to this one many times in the past. This time me and my partner we're both disappointed though. The staff were really nice and the service was very good. What let it down was the food. The salad cart was still good but the mains left a lot to be desired. My partner has ricotta and spinach pasta, which looked and tasted like it had been left out under a heat lamp for a while. The edges we're dry and crispy and the accompanying garlic bread was really hard. My combo chicken was nice but the ribs we're also dry and seemed like they had been cooked a long time beforehand. I'll think twice before going back there.

Came here for a valentines meal with my fiancé. Food was amazing and definitely worth the money. The waiter (James) was very quick and efficient and had a very positive attitude. Definitely won’t be the last time coming here:)

Really excellent and friendly service from all the staff but especially from our server, Rhiannon! She was attentive and helpful - wouldn't have known she was still in training if she hadn't mentioned it 😊 food was delicious and well cooked and the whole place was clean with a lovely chilled atmosphere! Would definitely visit again

Food was fine but the later n the evening the staff seemed more concerned with doing their admin than attending to customers. In fact the waiting staff seemed to have all disappeared when we wanted to leave and one of their colleagues sent out a search party to find someone who could actually take our payment.

  • 3/5 Awesome S. 1 year ago on Google
Our visit overall was great. Ashley, our server was friendly and polite and was there if we needed him. Our food was hot and tasty except for the fried chicken which was only warm. We did not bring it to the attention of our server as we were just so hungry. However, our experience was positive and would definitely visit again.

  • 5/5 Hannah S. 1 year ago on Google
Great food and value for money. Was pleased to see that the salad bar and rest of the restaurant was well maintained and kept clean! All waiters were friendly, helpful and very attentive. Would definitely return to this harvester.

Tucked away quietly around the back from all the main retailers, this Harvester looks very appealing from the outside. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Lots of outdoor seating if that's your preference. Had prebooked as there were 8 of us dining and was soon shown to our table. Service was friendly and fantastic. Our server was very attentive and always checking in on us, even though it was quite busy. We all enjoyed our food choices and the one vegetarian was happy with hers. An excellent place to visit, decent value for money and I'll definitely be back 👍
