A great dining experience in Cardiff. Very well prepared and tasty food. Exceptional steak and flavourful sides. Service is quick, efficient and friendly without being overbearing. Somewhat aggressively priced but worth it for an escape from the chains that seem to dominate the area.

Great restaurant not far from Central station and the Principality Stadium. The restaurant is a mix of Spanish and Welsh cuisine. Staff are friendly and the food was well presented. I had the Dairy beef share platter which comes medium rare. Worth a visit.

Good place to have a steak! We really enjoyed the pork terrine as well. The price of lunch menu is pretty good for the quality and service.

The food was lovely but not enough for the price! We were starving! The waiter said the £65 sharer steak was enough for 3 of us with 3 sides and chips when clearly it wasn't! We spent £88 a head with 1 bottle of red and went home hungry! Sorry, but I won't be rushing back! Nevertheless, a lovely ambience in the restaurant and staff were smashing!

Staying at their Parador, we had breakfast here and it was superb! They cooked the sausages and bacon over charcoal, and got such a lot of delicious smoke in there! Very friendly and charming staff (and they let me have a look at their grill). Definitely one of the best breakfast of my life!

Wow What stunning cuisine, absolutely delicious. Incredibly tasty, ample portions and top quality. Drinks and wine were excellent. The service was brilliant, in particular Kitty, who was excellent. So friendly and soon point. Also special mention to Dbbie Harry lookalike, so professional and so welcoming. If you're ever in Cardiff, book a table. It is rather special. 3 courses, wine, beer £90 pp. Suckling Pig sharer £80. Incredibly tasty, thoroughly recommended Whole seabass sharer £75

Good food but not life changing, but still really good. Honestly no complaints. Got the special sea bass roast. Fish was grilled perfectly, huge serving. Sides were pretty good, although some were okay, most likely because I’m not used to the cuisine. But I can tell the quality of everything was top tier. White wine sangria highly recommend, sweet and atomic. Service was incredible. Very attentive host/waitstaff, gave really good recommendations. Could 100% tell that they know what they’re doing and very professional yet friendly.

A very special little hidden gem… This was a special treat for our first anniversary. Wow what an incredible time we had in Cardiff. The hotel location was prefect in the centre of Cardiff. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were all fantastic and so attentive, helpful and friendly And finally the room was simply wonderful such an amazing stay…. Everything was better than we could have imagined and there wasn’t one thing we would have changed for the whole stay Every small detail you could think of is catered for Thanks you all at Asador/Parador 44 for making this an extra special time for us

Really enjoy:>. Great welcoming staff that gave time to this lonely traveller. I wanted Welsh culture but I love Northern Spanish / San Sebastián / Asador Exabarri / Bar Nestor style meat. Got both. Flat Iron Steak was tasty and served salted. Not sure why more great restaurants don’t serve aged dairy beef. Sourdough also good but peppery oil oil stole the show:>.

One of the better meals I’ve had in recent memory. Total cost of the meal was over £200 for 2 people, but this included two starters, a very nice bottle of wine, what was undoubtedly the most expensive entree on the menu (£100 for a 1kg dry aged bone-in rib eye for two), two delicious sides, two desserts, and an after dinner drink. All this to say, we got our money’s worth. The only thing I’d have asked for is more bread to accompany the incredible jamon butter. This was an awesome meal.

Great staff and atmosphere. The dishes are really tasty and cocktails are nice. Yet, the portions are tiny, the main dish came with no sides whatsoever. We ordered 4 different starters and sides and they were scanty portions too! Really expensive for the quantity of food.. We paid 90£ for two persons and yet left hungry 😔

An absolutely fantastic Spanish restaurant. Great food, great service and a lovely ambiance. For starters we had a salt cod and a mackerel followed by whole squid and ink mayonnaise with olive oil fries and a roasted celeriac, cauliflower dish with toasted walnuts. The food was perfectly presented and extremely well cooked with a good balance of flavours. I would come back here because of the excellent menu choice.

This was by far my Cardiff highlight - especially given we were able to secure a table without a reservation, upon arrival. This restaurant totally deserves its Michelin Guide 2020 nomination. Beautiful touch, impeccable service and yet a friendly cozy inspiring Spanish vibe! The food is delicious and exquisite, difficult to point out which ones I liked the most as all were spectacular!

Elegant food with superb wine. The steak is to die for and the starters were all delectable. The waiters and waitresses were knowledgeable, friendly and very personable! Would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a fine dinner in a great environment.

A very high quality Spanish steakhouse open on Monday, a rarity in Cardiff. My wife isn't into steaks, but we still had a fantastic meal: beef tartar, paella with beef shin and a grilled squid. And rum baba for desser! You sometimes can know how serious a restaurant is by the way they serve you drinks. Noticed that we ordered two different types of sweet sherry, one came with ice and a slice of orange, while PX came plain, as it should. I'm sure that if you like sharing large steaks you'd enjoy it here, but even if you don't, there are plenty of other great dishes to choose from.

I’m not easily impressed but this restaurant exceeds all expectations. The food is amazing, top quality steaks and tasty sides, all lovingly prepared. The settings is luxurious, the owner doesn’t spare money on furniture and interior. Staff are so attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the meal so much we ordered champagne to pair with! 😍

Without doubt one of the nicest meals and experiences we have had anywhere! We love good food and ambience and from the moment we arrived until we left we had a truly wonderful time. All the staff especially Sara and Adam were incredibly friendly gave us lots of time to decide and had extensive knowledge of their menu. We settled on the cochinillo (it's por shoulder slow cooked in its skin. Wow! Blown away and more than enough for two hungry people. The flavours and meat were cooked to perfection melt in the mouth! The gin cocktails were equally fresh and fun! We were able to over to a table overlooking thw Street to finish our wine and share a wonderful Spanish creme catlan tart with ham and maple ice cream! Amazing amazing!! We spent a memorable 3 hours here and the price was extremely reasonable givem the quality of food and service! Gracias a todo y hasta pronto

Generally speaking, a good restaurant with good service. The steak for two looked great but tasted a bit tough to me, especially considering the price, given the location. The mackerel appetizer was ok, not great. The highlights were the broccoli side and the prawn balls. Good wine selection. I found this restaurant to be somewhat overpriced for Cardiff but worth a visit nevertheless.

Quite simply some of the best food we have ever tasted. Venue and staff are friendly and attentive. We were lucky enough to be seated with a view of the kitchen and got to witness the team in action. It's clear they have a passion for food and it really shows. Amazing textures complimented with truly incredible flavour combinations, yet perfectly balanced and seasoned. Really all the food was stunning, but the highlight of the night was the dry aged Bone in Sirloin, provided by Meat Matters, who specialise in ex dairy cow sustainable beef ageing. Words can't describe how flavourfull it was, you will just have to come and try it for yourself. Its beef but not as you know it. Worthy of a Michelin Star. We will be back.

Amazing sharing Sunday lunch. Lamb shoulder with meat that fell off the bone. Cooked so well. Crispy and fluffy roast potatoes and delicious leek gratin. Yorkshire pudding was huge and tasty. Highly recommend!

The staff are very kind and helpful and the service they provide is very quick so you're not left with empty plates on the table for a long time. They check everything is ok just the right amount without it being too much. The food was amazing! But it can be a little confusing as to what you're actually ordering with the Spanish names. This can be mitigated by using Google or just asking. Was a little put off that they automatically type the optional tip into the card machine without asking as it can be awkward when you say no to the tip. Ideally the server should ask if they'd like to apply the tip first. But overall a good experience.

Food was great, we don't normally eat red meat so when we do we expect to be good and this one was perfectly cooked. Service, generally good just the lady in out table started picking up the starters plates while I was still eating. Other than that great birthday dinner out.

Superb food and staff. The aged cattle steak for two was outstanding. It is on the pricier side with fries and veg an extra expense on the main cost. Great for a treat

Oh my word!!! The best steak you will ever have. And I lived in Texas. Lovely atmosphere, great service and excellent food. I can't recommend this place enough. Don't forget your wallet though. Just note there is a service charge already included when you get the bill. I've been a few times and I'll certainly be coming back.

Lovely evening here. We thought we were going to a tapas restaurant, but it's definitely not. Food was lovely, although I could only have steak as all the other dishes had ingredients that I really dislike. It is pricey for what it is, but it was still very tasty! The service was great, had a gent who's only been there for 2 weeks and he was brilliant, so polite and pleasant! All the staff were very friendly and polite!
