Coming from Melbourne, Australia, the food was just ok, enough to cure the few weeks of Asian food absence. The flavours may be there but way too mild. The most disappointing thing was the ramen noodles which were so soft, almost soggy. Whilst the egg in their ramen was very good, they were still missing harmony in that ramen bowl, almost confusing. Their donburi bowl was just ok (personally, too mild, good for kids though). Their drinks were fresh and quite delicious. The best dish that I had was the fried squid. Their service was pretty good. I honestly expected it to be better (from the high Google rating).

i’ve always had a pleasant experience here. the staff are always friendly and make you feel very welcome. the food is delicious for anyone who enjoys japanese cuisine. i’ve tried the chicken katsu curry (this is a must try 10/10), i tried the beef teriyaki donburi (i didn’t enjoy this very much but it was very flavourful) and the beef brisket ramen. the portions are huge and fill you up. i would definitely recommend this place.

Loved how they had posted Calorie content next to a few items on their menu! Though I found the food slightly bland - they offer some amazing fresh juices and Asian dishes . The staff , presentation and the ambiance were amazing !!

Came here for lunch before the MCR concert, there was a queue to get in but the waiters were handing out menu's in the queue to make the process quicker. Once seated we were served our food fairly quickly, but were waiting ages for our drinks to arrive which was a shame. Food was delicious as always, with great veggie options! Definitely recommend, just not when it's so busy!

The Service and Ambience is the real draw for this venue. I've always liked the large open tables and quick ordering and payment on the App. The food is usually very tasty fusion food at reasonable prices. However its clear that wagamama is suffering from food price hikes as the plated offering is rather sparce nowadays. I had the spicy vegan short rib in an udon broth which was disappointing. The broth was tasty but there were too many udon noodles and not enough veggies. The protein substitute was not to my liking. My friend ordered the yaki udon noodle dish with prawns and chicken. We noticed straightaway that there was only 1 prawn in the dish and mentioned it to a server. In fairness to them, they apologised, offered to cook it again or just provide more prawns, and also offered a free dessert. Three different servers came to check all was well and were very friendly and helpful. The front of house manager was lovely as well. I probably won't go back to wagamamas because I don't like the vegetarian options but for most people, it probably represents good value for money in a nice environment and the food is not too challenging. Recommended.

A wonderfull experience throughout!!! ⭐️ Everyone loved each meal we ordered, I had the slow cooked pork belly which melted in your mouth like butter!!! A truly wonderful dish! 🤤 The deserts were great too. It's great to see the food as its cooked from the table. I must say we had great waiters who were friendly which I appreciate to the give a nice atmosphere to our family meal out. They looked after my mum well who has some allergies that they cattered for. Hope to see them again next time we go!!! 😁 Thank you for looking after my family! See you again soon.

I had a disappointing experience at this Japanese ramen restaurant. The noodles were oddly soft and mushy, while the broth was just average. The worst part was the cold gyoza, which should have been crispy but became greasy and nauseating. Overall, a disappointing lunch

Visited with a friend a few days ago. We've chosen beef ramen and chicken katsu carry. We agreed it's not the best katsu curry she had and my ramen was a bit too bland for my taste ;) It's a shame cause I wanted this ramen so badly... Maybe I'll be back to give them another chance (the staff here is amazing!).

Yum, I love Wagamama. Customer service was great. Food was delicious, 100% recommend. I recommend getting 5 starters to share with friends, I was alone so couldn’t share - not that I would’ve because of how yummy the food was, lol. Please get the Chili squid. The other two starters were good but the Chili squid is the best.

Wagamama is a perfectly fine experience if you're in the mood for Asian-inspired food in Cardiff. It's inauthentic and overpriced, but slick and comfortable enough that you'll probably be OK with that.

What can I say nothing to complain. As you’d expect the food is incredible and the service is amazing! Would always recommend the chicken ramen and load it up with chilli oil and chilli powder(or whatever the thing is in the wooden shaker) drinks are always great and always recommend. One thing I would say is this location seems to get a queue very quickly but if you go before the lunch rush you should be good.

Yummy evening dinner. Had the duck bao buns and tofu pad Thai. Both were very yummy and had some lovely Texture to them both. Good buzz of the place and very clean. Service very good and looked after well. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Excellent Wagamama. Service great tonight. Chicken Katsu was top notch and the Katsu banana was a wee treat. Of you like wagamama. It won't disappoint

It’s Wagamamas, you can’t go wrong! Everything about Wagas is amazing! Food is always fabulous and lots of selection. It’s a bit expensive especially if there’s a few people. Also the dine in experience can be a bit awkward for introverts due to seating layout! I recommend going late at night so it’s less busy! The Bao is nice but doesn’t compare to the proper thing. Their juices are absolutely beautiful! Also anything teriyaki I absolutely recommend!!

Went to wagamama today. Bare in mind this is my 2nd time ever being in this restaurant chain. I don't like giving negative reviews, even tho the food was excellent I can't say anything bad about that. But I thought the customer service was a bit poor. As soon as I went in I was taken to my seat and the waitress spoke so quickly I didn't know what she even said then she disappeared. So I kinda just sat there and didn't know what to do lol anyways after some time someone came along and took my order. And it didn't take long at all to arrive. Again the food was great! But I just felt a bit uncomfortable. None of the waiting staff barely said anything or smiled or anything 😅. Maybe that's how some places work these days. You go in get your food and go. I guess I am just used to more friendly places. Again I am not knocking the food but maybe just be a bit nicer or friendly or just bloody smile. I'm not asking a lot but just be nice to your customers that's all 😅

First time here and didn’t know what to expect, ordered a glass of white wine and went for the steak teriyaki soba, Got asked how I wanted it cooked so as usual I went for medium rare, didn’t take too long for the order to come to the table, when the food arrived it looked good and was pretty hot. The steak was a bit over cooked and the some of the noodles were burnt. Presentation was pretty good but didn’t know what to expect. Would go back but maybe try something different.

Amazing Location and a very presentable restaurant. This is probably one of the best location of Wagamama that I have ever dined in. The location is amazing and the decorations are very modern with very good ambient lighting. I had a pleasure of meeting one of the managers Dennis, and even gave me a free drink in the house. The staff are friendly and the kitchen looks adequately clean from looking and passing by their kitchen area. I tried their new ramen Chicken Gyoza Ramen which is good. I believe it will be great ramen to eat if they can minimize the spicyness or the pepper paste by about 1/2 to truly appreciate the flavor of the ramen soup. Otherwise a good location and a must to dine in Cardiff Wales if you are in town.

I ordered the pork belly ramen. The pork belly and the egg is quite good but the soup is way too salty and the texture of the ramen isn’t great. My frd had katsu curry, the chicken is fine but the curry just doesn’t taste right. It is not the taste of a normal Japanese curry.

Been here today with my sister. The staff were friendly, there was not much of a wait and the food was fantastic. I had a chicken + prawn Thai pad and my sister had mini chicken katsu meal. We both really enjoyed it! We will be coming back again.

LOVE Wagamamas and their vegan options. I tried the vegan chicken bao buns and the vegan steak ramen - both delicious. They were busy and understaffed but let us know, which was fine - the atmosphere is nice so we were in no rush. If you do go during a peak time there may be a queue, but we only waited 20 minutes - worth it

An absolute must if you're in Cardiff! We waited 10 minutes for a seat and it was well worth it. Friendly staff, delicious food of good proportions and you can pay by card via QR code at the table, so no waiting for the bill. Just eat and go! 🙂👍

The mains tasted delicious but wasn't too sure of my starter, took the 'lollipop prawn kushiyaki' which tasted nothing amazing and was also very overpriced. The place and environment was lovely and would definitely go back again for that. Also very lovely and helpful staff.

The best Wagamama I've been too by far, a great service provided by mindful and considerate staff. The vegan dishes were really great, will certainly be back sometime.

if you are from asian countries, don’t try wagamama. They serve really western style asian food here and the taste is only okay. It’s not the place for authentic asian food.

literally in love. delivery time is great though it took about 15 minutes to get us a seat, as they prepare a table for you in a lovely way.

Fresh, tasty food; friendly service. Only issue was the lift not working so struggled to lug a vomiting baby upstairs to the toilet to be cleaned. Staff were super helpful though. I had the beef brisket donburi and the smoked chocolate cake.

Delicious food every time I visit here- everything tastes great on the menu and lighter options available! Good atmosphere as well and interesting to see the chefs working in the open kitchen. My favourite are the ramens and Chilli squid. Yum 😊
