Now a migrant hostel. See Rightful Recordings you tube video “ Not allowed to film here IBIS is not a hotel anymore” for verification.

Booked the room over the phone gave all the required details of party which consisted of me,wife and my son. I reserved two rooms at £188 each for two rooms for two nights, i gave my bank details which I was told I would pay on arrival. When we arrived conveniently they had no proof of my reservation and I didn't receive an email which I was abruptly told by the nice person at reception they 100% didn't make mistakes. We had to book again at a vastly increase rate of£288 for the same period. The rooms were fine but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

The guy on reception very friendly and helpful , the lift is very slow when you press for it. The room is quite spacious but didn't smell the cleanest. The bedding had some a few iron burns/rips and also didn't smell the best. The shower was very big and ideal. Bed not very comfy

Quite simply unacceptable for human occupation. Did I accidentally book an escape room…? - Floors made of rotted felt in room, with obvious evidence of mould and damp. Quite possibly a health hazard and several unexplained stains. - failed double glazing on a hotel located next to a train track. Literally impossible to sleep. - unacceptable and actually quite unbelievably bad standard of clean on towels (stained, hair and more) bedding (same story) and exposed mattress due to poorly fitted sheet. - Torn sofa upholstery and broken office chair as the furniture supplied in the room. This hotel should be given a review by a qualified inspector ASAP so that it can find its way back on track.

Very courteous staff. I called the reception to extend my stay for one more night I was told the price is £129🙄 Hell no! I just checked your website it has now been reduced to £44. I wonder why... I guess they wanted to rob people because of the bad weather (storm Eunice) . Your rooms are not worth more than max £50 a night.

Had a good experience at Ibis except that fact that the rooms are small! But for the price ,it’s okay. The Location is great, very close to the city centre and many nearby attractions. The staff were helpful and the for a three day stay, the rooms were cleaned everyday. If you aren’t going to be sitting the room all day and need a hotel in the centre, go for it!

This hotel is similar to prison. It has less facilities than prison. The hotel also has a train track basically going right through it. The trains screech as they brake to pull into the station nearby. Without a doubt one of the worst places on earth.

Very close to the city centre and also very cheap in my opinion. Room was decent for the money, bed sheets were clean, only reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5 was the carpet which had some stains and looked dirty.

Our booking Confirmation number 3639.944.871 and room number is 129. I have stayed many hotels in last 13 years and its the WORST serviced room ever. Its very nasty, not cleaned at all. I have found grey hair and possibly pubic hair over the bed cover. There was another surprise waiting for us even the worset one, a disable toilet with the smell of urine from the basin. I never booked any hotel with booking.com where I have asked for any disable toilet allocated for me. I tried to contact the reception, no manager to contact and the receeptionist lied on my face saying I asked for accesible toilet. Then tried to rationalise that I have not complained about the smell of urine to her on first instance, really left me shocked with her attitude I had another booking with ibis on 30th October which I am cancelling striaght away with the hospitality that I have received.

Room & breakfast for the price in a centre hotel was very good. Room was very clean with all general requirements met. Room size was on the smaller size but easily made up for that with its cleanliness. I would stay again without hesitation at the price paid

Had a enjoyable stay while the rugby was on. Very Covid compliant and great service too. Some rooms back on to a railway but we weren't disturbed too much by the noise. Rooms are comfy and clean.

Friendly staff. Nice rooms, clean and great for a stay in the middle of the town. The stay was lovely and very quiet. Only thing that would improve it would be having a car park.

I really dislike giving negative reviews but on this occasion it's necessary. Location - couldn't fault it (especially if your going to the motorpoint) Staff - really friendly and helpful Room - where to begin..for a start the carpet was damp which made the room smell awful. The bedding felt damp too, the mattress and pillows were incredibly hard and the mattress was barely covered. Shower and bathroom was fine although the door very noisy to which we felt conscious for the nearby rooms when closing it. Like were we staying in the budget ibis? As that's the quality I would have expected there. To have some basic cleaning flaws you can forgive, but damp carpet and bedding is unforgivable I'm afraid.

The room was so tired and just generally looked old. Towels were just dumped on the bed, looked clean but not ideal. For the record, however, the staff redeem this place. They were all lovely, helpful and really pleasant to interact with.

If I was ever asked which was my worst hotel experience, I’d say this one. The cleaner broke into my room twice, once while sleeping, once while half naked. The staff there are cold and don’t respect your privacy. The rooms and bathrooms don’t have locks and they come in whenever they like and your keys to get into the room never work. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep on with pillows as comfortable as a bag of chopsticks and a mattress as hard as a granite worktop. My bed also had a mysterious stain on it. The manager (Mark) was very rude and unprofessional. They also won’t help store your bags. There is a premier inn nearby. One word to describe this hotel: Primitive. DO NOT STAY AT IBIS.

Hotel decor was awful, felt very unwelcoming as soon as you walked in. I work for Accor hospitality and couldn’t even get any discount from them so had to pay the full £60 which was completely not worth it. The room felt like it had very thick air with an off smell and the room decor was dated. Got woken up by housekeeping knocking on my door to see if I was out the room at 9am and couldn’t get back to sleep. Would not recommend this hotel.
