First time to visit and definitely the last. We were all expecting huge burgers what with the price being charged but what we received looked like something from McDonald's savers range. My sisters hotdog was also incredibly small and thin. I had to leave some of my burger due to it being raw inside and blood coming out of it when I pressed a tissue against it (no napkins came with the food). What sort of restaurant, especially finger food, doesn't supply napkins?? I then asked for a refund on my burger and left. If you want proper burgers, go to Burger King.

Trendy (priced) fast food. Thought I’d give this place a go rather than go to the larger chains and although it was tasty, it wasn’t good value for money. I was still hungry afterwards and could have eaten 3 of them they were so small but that would cost more than my weekly shop. £9 for a single cheese burger and £12 for a double. Fries for £4 and shakes for £6. Not in a hurry to go back.

My time at Shake Shack was good overall! Food was very delicious, staff seemed a little unbothered. Despite this I had a great meal and atmosphere seemed good💚

The vegan crispy shallot burger was incredible The patty is not meaty and isn’t processed - can definitely taste the roasted mushrooms and miso and the subtle smokiness comes through with every bite The crispy shallot takes the burger to another level Thank you chef Neil Rankin and team for this wonderful burger The service was quick and friendly

ABSOLUTELY APPALLED!! Ordered a meal for my lunch - about to take a bite into my cheese burger to find a ladies long, brown HAIR hanging out of it. What sort of hygiene is this?! HAIR NETS CLEARLY AREN'T BEING WORN! I had thrown my meal right into the bin and will most definitely not be ordering from you again - will also make friends & family aware not to eat from this dreadful place. You clearly don't look over your food before serving! 0 STAR!!

A little expensive, but worth it. The crispy shallot burger was excellent! The vegan cheese was super melty and the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle

Our fav place to go to when we visit Cardiff. Food is always fast and ordering is much easier now done by the barcode. It’s always very very expensive but definitely worth it. I just wish there were more Shake Shacks in the midlands!

Disappointing first visit First of all been queueing to order the food, get to the till to order. Get told to go and get a table number and order. Just sat on our table finally and our food arrived within minutes which I was surprised. The portions are very disappointing and I had ordered the double meister, there is no indication of size of burgers. The cheese&chips were cold and tasteless. No napkins were brought with the food. So I asked the waiter if they can bring some. My napkins arrived by the waiter in ball as shown in the picture. Please train your staff for table manners and the kitchen team to not send cold food out. Won't be visiting again for sure.

It was a great cheese burger and fries. Reminds me of In n Out burgers in California. The burgers are too small for the price. It is not often one leaves a burger joint still hungry, but if you eat here, either your stomach or your wallet will be lighter. Having said that, I would come back maybe once or twice, but definitely not forking out £18 for regular burgers and fries often.

Really tasty. Wish the shake was a little thicker but my vanilla malt was delicious. Cheeseburger also. Really impressed.

Don't get the hype about this place. Prices are extortionate. The beef burgers were too greasy and heavy compared to other brands. The chicken burger was nothing special. Chips were overfried but nice. Food took a while to be made however. Wouldn't eat again tbh, Five Guys and Maccies are much better.

Food wasn't bad, nice but very fried and a lot more expensive than your typical fast food. Especially liked that they had the calorie info upfront on the menu without hiding it away somewhere. Woman who took our order was friendly but all the other staff seemed to have an attitude problem. Lots of disposable packaging. Lemonade was like drinking a cup of sugar.

The food here is really delicious, however it’s worth noting that the burgers are on the smaller side, but I found it to be a comfortable amount of food. The ordering system is a little bit unconventional but not in a bad way - you give your name and have to listen out for your order when it’s ready. Will come again, I liked it here and want to come back and try some of the desserts!

My 1St and last visit. Slow service and £12 for a double burger that looked like it was thrown in a bag and smaller than a big mac, also 6 bucks for a tray of crinkle chips. Nothing we ordered looked anything like what was on the advert boards. I didn't think it was value for money. Staff were friendly tho

Me and my partner ate here last weekend and would not recommend. Absolutely ridiculous prices for what you’re getting, when we arrived there were only 4 others in front of us and we were queuing outside of the restaurant in the way of people walking through the St David’s centre. We paid around £50 for 2 burgers, chips, chicken bites and 2 very small drinks. The burgers are not a reasonable size considering they’re so expensive on their own. Service was very slow as they only have one person taking orders and forgot our burger after we had gone up to collect our food. The food is definitely not worth £50 for just two people and wasn’t much different to a McDonald’s.

The burger was very small for the price but was decent quality so i would have given that 4 * on its own, i was shocked by the price of a regular diet coke, almost £4 for a drink and the same for the fries. It would definitely put me off going there next time im shopping in cardiff. If you charged a reasonable price for fries and drink it would definitely be a place i would take the kids more often. Almost £70 for 4 burgers fries and drinks was too much for what it was, could have gone to mcds for less than half the price

Burgers are ok, but pricey, considering it's size. Comes with no side fries as you have to order it separately, even that is expensive considering it's not fresh cut chips. A regular can of coke for £2.10, what is going on?

Food is absolutely amazing, and great quality. My favourite is their hotdog, although the frozen custard will have you wanting to come back. Gotta try the smoke shack burger too, has plenty of toppings and is flooded with flavour.

Very delicious food as usual. This time I decided to get a dessert - Welsh cake jam ice cream. It has a nutty taste but doesn’t contain any nuts, it’s just the Welsh cake dipped in the ice cream.

One of the best burger shops in the heart of Cardiff. Very nice place with extraordinary hospitality.

I personally had one of the best fast food experiences of my life at shake shack. The meat was to die for and dont get me started on the buns. The fries were fried in a way that makes me want to blow my brains out. Also, I tried one of your signature milkshakes and saying it was the greatest milkshake I've ever tried was an understatement. Also, I thought the prices were top notch for the quality of the food. In conclusion, anyone that says that shake shack isn't good has no brain cells. I for one will be making regular purchases at this establishment.

The burgers were fairly tasty and the buns also soft but lemonade was too sweet. £35.35 in total.

Tried the new chicken . Chicken was fired well and tasty but their new signature sauce wasn’t great . It’s good to have one time.

Crowded all the time but taste really good. Services just not that good especially the cashier counter.

Although our food was reasonably tasty, it wasn't brilliant. It cost over £18 for what is in the photo, and it definitely was not worth the money. I think we will give it a miss next time.

The shake shack charges a little more for food than some other places, but this is forgivable in the quality. when i visited for the first time, the quality of the burger, fries and sides really did hit different than the likes of Five guys or Mc Donald's. It was much fresher and the taste was wonderful and packed full of good flavour. The wait for food is a little longer than other food venues, but i think this is a good thing, as it indicates food is prepped and cooked fresh to order, which it was when i visited. if you are a fan of your burgers and fries, it is well worth a visit.

The shroom stack burger is a cheese filled delight. Their burgers are very good quality and taste delicious. The roasted garlic and parmesan fries are my absolute favourite and I'm genuinely looking forward to eating them again. I could have packed away double the portion. They tasted even better than poutine I'd had at another eatery in Cardiff. I wish Shake Shack would open a branch in Swansea so I didn't have to drive over an hour to get a burger. I still do though because it's worth it.

Shake Shack in Saint Davids is always a great experience. They serve fries that can compete with the best in the business. We always go for their chicken burgers as they serve Halal chicken. The chicken is battered in buttermilk, making it extremely juicy and tender. It's also great to see them always introducing new, limited edition items to keep things interesting.

Ordered food the other week, didn't come for a long time so asked at the till about it and it hadn't come through to them. But they gave us a free drink to say sorry, so good on them.

Just love the cheesy fries and milkshakes here! The burgers are good aswell, nice and clean place with friendly staff. Perfect place to grab a bite while shopping

A really good spot for a burger lunch. The menu is pretty limited even though there is still a few veggie/vegan options. Staff were friendly and service was pretty quick. The burgers and fries themself were better than other fast food options, it felt more like restaurant food in a casual setting

Lovely food, although quite expensive, but definitely worth the price. I decided to write this review due to the lovely Owen who works there. He made me laugh, he was chatty, energetic, doing lots, and it really looked like he was enjoying himself. I'd come back just because of him! :)

They've changed something about their food or just whoever is preparing or cooking, it doesn't taste as nice as it used too! Chips taked like they'd been re cooked after going cold, sad as it was my favourite lunch spot in Cardiff

Popped in for a quick bite mid-afternoon. Service was average but friendly and did the job. Food was fresh and easily ordered though the app; although it did take you to great an account! The in house lemonade was very nice and roasted garlic chips delicious.
