Good food, good price and great service. They give bread and dips on the house and after the meal they also offer Turkish tea and baklava. On the down side, my partner didn't find it as flavoursome as expected and they don't give tap water. Water costs £1.50 for small bottle or £4 for large.

This is the best middle east restaurant in Cardiff. We drove from Weston Super Mare to Cardiff.

Went with one of my mates here. Wow loved this place. Usually this place is crowded and busy. Finally had the chance to dine in during a rainy day 😁. Loved the service, quick and friendly. Loved the ambience of this place. The food was overwhelmingly delicious. The portions are generous for the price. There is too many items in their menu. Will come back soon to try them. If you're in cardiff, I highly recommend to anyone to give this place a try. Thank you😃.

It was a very nice Turkish restaurant. If you love Turkish cuisine, you should definitely stop by. There will be landscapes and artifacts from Turkey around you. There are many local details, but they are given without disturbing people, and it has a spacious atmosphere. As far as I can see, they have tables designed for crowded invitations and special occasions. It's a big place. On the ground floor, everyone can eat at the venue without any obstacles. The employees were very caring and lovely. They were around all the time. They were always ready to serve you.

Authentic food, great value and top service. We have been going through Cardiff, and searched of good Turkish place and Saray came up as one of the top restaurants. Top restaurant indeed!!! The menu has a good variety of authentic Turkish hot and cold mezze. All topped up with good value sharing platters. Food is very delicious! Some Turkish restaurants provide the bigger lamb chops which are more meaty but these ones here were the thin ones, however still tasty. Of course as always with free Turkish tea and bakalwa. Most of all, it has a massive prayer room. See pictures attached. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely birthday meal at Saray Turkish restaurant. Really delicious freshly grilled kebabs with lots of choices. The mixed platters looked amazing. Hot, tasty and generous portions. Service was quick and friendly. It was very busy even on a weekday evening which is all the recommendation you need. Very nice indeed.

Lovely food, calm atmosphere and always fresh. I have been in a few times over the past 4 years and haven't been disappointed yet! The İncik is lovely! The servers are great, really attentive and we did not keep us waiting. Coffee and tea is a must, I'll definitely be back.

Went here last night with my best friends and boyfriend for the first time! Was really looking to try Turkish food and my friend had recommended the place! The staff were very friendly and inviting as well as helpful! We were seated quickly (had a reservation) and in total there was 7. Complimentary fresh bread and delicious dips! The starters we ordered came very quickly which was brilliant! I had ordered Halloumi Cheese which was amazing. There was a slight mix up of my order but the waitress handled it perfectly and was so kind. The mains also came at a great pace and they all looked lush! I had ordered the Lamb Donar with rice and salad! All dishes were cleared away fantastically too! Not rushed but just right. At the end, we were given complimentary Turkish Tea and Baklava (Turkish desert). Overall, I would absolutely recommend and come back soon :)

This restaurant is my favorite in Cardiff, I haven't been in the UK for 2 years and this place is 1 of my 1st pitstops! Always fantastic service as well as food, I have regularly brought friends from around the world and they've loved it too. Not sure when I'll be back but I will be.

This was my first time eating Turkish cuisine, and I really loved it! We were a group of ten with a reservation. For starters I had Sucuk, which was delightful - the sausages were moist and well grilled and the salad on the side was definitely a new taste I'd never had. Loved it. Then I had the lamb leg casserole dish (forgot what it was called ahaha) which was great; the soup went very well with the rice and the lamb was very tender. Be warned - the portions are very generous so it's definitely worth your money😂😂😂 After that they brought us Baklava on the house - that was a very nice experience and was sweet as well as I'd never had Baklava. The patrons were very nice and patient (had a lot of questions on allergies 😂) and let us take our time with our food. The walls were definitely an I threshing design as they were hand-plastered paintings Overall 10/10 but the bathrooms could be a bit better.

Its usually a dinner time visit but this time we visited for brunch. I opted for the soup of the day which was lentils and also the hot Mezze platter to share. The soup was rich and creamy accompanied with a large portion of bread. Very filling and extremely flavoursome. As always to finish off the meal we were given complimentary Turkish tea and baklava which is a very kind gesture to receive. Service was friendly and attentive and overall a pleasant experience as always

Fantastic service! Best I've had in Cardiff so far. Truly seamless. Atmosphere was great. I was happy with the portions for the price as well. Restaurant is very clean as well. The baklava and tea was a great touch to the end of the meal. Loses a star as the chicken wings was a total waste of money. Absolutely flavourless mess for £11.

A must visit for Turkish food! The price, the portions and the quality of the food were all spot on. The meat wasn’t fatty and tasted great. Lovely complimentary bread and dips as well as a small tea and baklava for dessert. Really thoughtful of them and really set them aside from other places. The service was very on point and we weren’t waiting around trying to order our next course or get the bill. Staff were also lovely and professional, I would 100% go back.

Best place for this type of cuisine in Cardiff. The lamb is the best in Cardiff for flavour. The owner and staff are very hospitable. Definitely worth a visit. Our go to for nights out.

If you want a Turkish bbq Sarah Restaurant is the place to go! The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but still managed to have a table for two quickly and didn’t need to wait. Service was spot on, was quick, friendly and service was there at the right times. We went for the mixed platter and it was lovely, nothing was over cooked or burnt, it was perfectly done. Highly recommend and will definitely return again.

amazing food! I love the lamb ribs so much!! Also the desert & tea are free, very delicious You can feel free to choose rice or chips. The starter is shrimp, a little bit sour and soy, it’s unique. But not 100% suit my taste.

Excellent experience all around. Lovely interior design. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was great! The lamb chops and cubes were super tender and tasty, among the best I've had in the UK. Would definitely come again. It was busy and clearly popular on a Monday night, and I can see why.

We are regular loyal customers and we eat there regularly, we also celebrate special occasions there. Staff are very down to earth and always willing to help, service is excellent. Also Credit to all the chefs who make amazing grills, dishes, warm bread, dips, salads. and work very hard to give the customers a tasty, happy experience. In our opinion it's the best grill in Cardiff. Quality of their produce is high standards, and their grills are well balanced with spices, meat is tender and juicy. Thank you to the dedicated team for everything they do.

Absolutely sublime. We had the Saray platter, which including drinks came up to £100+ for 5 people, but £20 for five seats is great value for money considering the amount of food we had. It was Ramadan so the restaurant had the shawarma replaced with the kofte which quite frankly was an improvement. The meat was beautifully soft, the spices were just right and were flavourful, not just hot, and the fried rice was also perfectly done, with some peppers mixed in. To finish off, we had baklava and tea. While the baklava was not up to my taste as it was very sweet, it did go over well with the rest of the table. The tea was wonderful - I believe it was elderberry served in beautiful silverware. We were even allowed to take some of our platter home, which was so kind. Better that than letting food go to waste. Overall, I wouldn't say cheap, but I would absolutely say it's good value for money. A hidden gem in Cardiff.

Went here for lunch with family. One of quite a few Turkish restaurants in City Rd but arguably one of the best! Delicious lentil soup, hummus, tzatziki, lamb kofta and chicken shawarmas. Really nice friendly staff and very reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Nice free starter. Delicious fresh mixed kebab. Finished nicely with aromatic black tea and baklava dessert to complete a wonderful day at this restaurant. Service was amazing. Will come back again when in Cardiff. Thanks.

I knew it would be a good experience when the place was packed on a Tuesday, and the wait for a table was 20 minutes. Amazing grilled meats. The lamb chops were to die for. Succulent and tender. The complimentary bread and dips are also equally delicious. Also a nice gesture with complimentary after-meal baklava and Turkish tea. The only con I would say was, they only make a mental note of who is waiting, don't write names down like most places do. When it was our turn to be seated, the hostess seemed to forget and tried to seat the couple after us, but they were honest enough to speak up and say we were waiting first.

What a hidden GEM! I'm not one to often go out of my comfort zone when it comes to food. I know what I like and try to stick to it to avoid disappointment in life. However the wife was on a mission to find a small cafe whereby we could have a coffee and maybe share an appetizer or starter. I was put off by most of the menu as I didn't understand it but was willing to try some chicken. We were swiftly seated in a very well established restaurant and upon seeing the menu and pictures of the food and the food being served to our neighbouring guests I was intrigued. The service was exceptionally efficient and friendly. The food however was outstanding!! We were given a platter of olives, salsa and a cheese dip which was amazing and when our food arrived it knocked the socks off many of the high end restaurants that we have attended at a fraction of the price. I have since recommended it to others and cannot stress enough how much I loved this place!!

Delicious food, fast efficient service. Most of all I was so happy to see the prayer place provided. I wish all Muslim establishments provided prayer places like this.

What a wonderful find, had never visited a Turkish restaurant before and this was a brilliant experience. The service was excellent they couldn't do enough for you and were very polite, we were greeted with complimentary bread and dips which was lovely. Our main meals were full of flavour and so fresh. We were then surprised to be asked if we would like a desert and tea also on the house - incredible value for money.

Our first time visiting Saray and we had a great experience! More than enough food for the main meals, with amazing flavours. We had a piece of chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, which was absolutely fantastic (forgot to take a photo). Excellent service from all staff. Highly recommend.
