This is my second visit to Giardini di Sorrento and honestly it’s as good as when I first came here. I love the ambience, the authenticity of the menu, and how friendly the staff are. Truly a hidden gem in Cardiff and their awards and accolades are truly deserved. Well done guys and keep up the good work!

Absolutely delicious authentic family dinner. Menu is top notch and service amazing. Forgot we were in Cardiff. Could have been in Sorrento. When the owner chased us down the road with our forgotten boxed up cannoli I knew we would be back. Great evening, thank you.

The best Italian food I've had outside of Italy and one of the best meals I've had in the last 20 years. Incredible dishes, served beautifully. Spectacular flavours. Vegetarian dishes available. A small number of beautifully flavoursome desserts. The staff were outstanding, kind, and hospitable. We were brilliantly looked after. If you haven't been, I can't recommend it enough. I already can't wait to go back. A wonderful little restaurant just outside the city centre. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.

This restaurant!!! My husband and I were so excited we picked Giardini Di Sorrento for a late lunch yesterday during a few short hours in the city. We walked in 5 minutes before the kitchen closed for the afternoon but were warmly welcomed anyway and weren’t made to feel like an inconvenience for our poor timing. We ordered Antipasto and desserts and wish we lived closer to try some of their pasta dishes. The food was incredible. So fresh and generous! This is a new favourite and anytime we visit Cardiff we will be sure to return!

Beautiful Italian food. If you want to eat a lobster, you should order in advance. It's a shame that we couldn't order more of their delicious desserts because we were so full yum😋

The food here is truly delicious and is a little taste of Italy in Cardiff. While the prices aren't the cheapest, you can see why with the quality of the food. The a al carte menu is limited, but my two main dishes came off the daily specials and I'd certainly recommend trying something off the specials board. While the food was incredible, the same can't be said for the service. They were rather slow taking our order, advice on what to order wasn't great, after ordering a 'primo' and 'secondo' explicitly it was disappointing to see genuine Italians bring both out at the same time. Also our party of 5 spent a considerable amount here, but the famous southern Italian hospitality was lacking and we weren't offered a limoncello at the end

I would describe Giardini di Sorrento as a cosy down to earth Italian. To start we ordered Pane Aglio e Mozzarella. Upon its arrival we were presented with a plate of four squares of soft lightly toasted ciabatta bread. This was generously doused in garlic, olive oil and mozzarella cheese. You will see from the picture this was served with no thrills. It was simply placed on a thin bed of rocket. It didn’t need anything else, it delivered what was expected in terms of flavour. For mains we had: Paccheri pasta with creamy sauce mixed with pancetta and walnuts. This was definitely the star of the show. Risotto with tomato sauce, n’duja, burrata topped with one leaf of basil. This dish was certainly not for faint hearted. The n’duja added a right kick to the dish which the burrata struggled to temper. It was difficult to focus on any other flavours as they were disguised by the spicy meat. The dish would have benefited from more burrata and basil. That being said the risotto rice was cooked perfectly. Our chosen bottle for this meal was a Colle Al Vento Primitivo di Manduria. This was a lush, dark berry fruity full-bodied red and was perfect with Italian food. A relaxed and pleasant evening, with lovely food.

3 of us dined here this evening. I was introduced to this restaurant a few years ago with my Italian friends and thought to go back for a change for a Christmas meal with welsh friends. Our food was absolutely delicious! Plentiful and full of flavour. Service was great and the atmosphere was beautiful. Will 100% be returning soon and bringing along the family. Grazie 😊

Like stepping foot into a top quality restaraunt in Sorrento! Truly authentic Italian experience with great service and food to die for. Perfect Arancini, amazing pizza and beautiful pasta dishes at more than reasonable prices considering the quality. Will definitley be back soon :)

Best dining experience ever. For a group of 8, it was very easy to reserve a table here. We were served promptly and with warmth. The atmosphere, including music, was perfect. Excellent House Specials & Menu. The food was so good that our plates were empty by the end of our meal. Thank you for hosting us <3

Amazing experience tonight, it was such a lovely atmosphere with the music and decor and the staff were so lovely. We haven't had proper Italian since going to Italy in 2018 and it brought us right back. Absolutely stunning food and pizza cooked to perfection. Highly recommend, will be making our visits a regular occurrence.

A Lovely little family room business. 2 visits in a week, 1st time with a reservation the other we popped in thinking Monday evening would be quiet... Wrong! Very busy but, they still managed to fit us both in. Great food and staff were helpful in helping you make your choice, explaining in more detail the dishes. Fresh and quickly prepared food. Note the Cannoli is ideal for sharing should you have room. The Risotto was beautiful 😋

What an authentic and amazing experience, a well thought out, family run Sorrento cuisine restaurant. The menu is fresh, creative and traditional, with fresh specials daily. The service is incredible and we will be returning to experience this again and again above and beyond a 10/10!

Great Italian, wonderful staff and delish food. What more could you ask for. They were so accommodating. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent food and very generous portions (the chef thought the lobster was small, so he just added another one!) plus very friendly and entertaining service. We will be back and would recommend.

Pleasant restaurant but oh so loud! We could hardly hear each other speak. We went to catch up with family and we just couldn't hear each other. Gave up in the end. The food was 'good'. Calamari was OK, pasta wax OK. Pizza looked good. Could havd all had more flavour. Prices weren't on board for specials so we had no idea how much they were, I really don't like this - special prices for regulars??? Alright, not rushing back...

Not good as expected unfortunately :( very disappointed Pizza capricciosa was faint cry of Napoli Arancini not original Pollo alla diavola simply did not taste good Burata did not taste fresh

Delightful little Italian. Picked it for a works evening meal whilst traveling from the trip advisor reviews and wasn't disappointed. Friendly welcome and good service. I had calamari for starters and it was amazing, lightly battered and perfectly cooked. Followed by wild boar ravioli for mains which again was great.

Food was lovely and staff very helpful, was a little loud in the restaurant at times with noise mainly from the kitchen and staff but wasn't over bearing.

Food is wonderful and house wines are delish. The portions are HUGE, which is fair enough given the slightly pricy prices. Service is great though, and as we paid the card machine was playing up so our waiter brought over a very sweet little music box and some limoncello to try. Lovely for a date or for a meal with family.

Best meal I’ve ever had, it was amazing with good vegetarian and vegan options. If I’m ever in Cardiff again I will definitely come back, the portion sizes are also very generous. The staff are very friendly.

Delicious true Italian food! Michele 'red wolf' served us and was super-friendly! If you would like to experience a piece of Italy in Cardiff I highly recommend it!

Italian food at its best. We are never disappointed no matter what we order, though the Ravioli Caprese is by far my favourite. Between the authentic food and atmosphere, you will believe you walked out of Cardiff right into Italy when you walk through their front door. Always worth the visit!

If you want to feel like you are in Sorrento then this place is for. The owner is fun, the staff are just amazing. Lovely to get a feel of Italy, good food, great ambience, an exceptional place for lovers and family. I had a good time

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice starter but the main is a bit disappointing. It's slightly salty (however the portion is very generous). Will try other main next time if I can 😃

I’m American and was in Cardiff visiting family. Our first night, we went here and had a great meal. The Wild Boar Ravioli, Lamb Ragu, and Venison Ragu were amazing. Servers were kind and attentive! Loved it so much, we went back our last night!
