Went on a Monday night for dinner with my friend. We ordered the 2 course meals each wherein we can either select the appetizers or the desert. The hot wings were delicious!! They were fiery and the chicken was so tender... Loved the taste. Unfortunately the burgers were very dry. We had ordered two different burgers, but the patty tasted the same. It lacked salt. The dessert was tasty. The fudge was very soft and chocolaty and was well balanced with vanilla ice-cream. The service was a little slow, but we enjoyed our time!

Very very disappointing to say the least. The best part about the meal, was how quick we were seated. It took the waiter 20 minutes to decide to take our over, and another 50 minutes to bring our food. Whilst waiting for the food, they served us our drinks, twice, to the wrong person each time, having to identify ourselves they were wrong to swap them over. And then they delivered the wrong drink altogether. After the 50 minute wait, at 30 minutes we asked for an update, the lady walking around with a cast on her arm practically doing nothing, went half way down the stairs, and came back up and sent someone else to find out, to which no one came back with any answers. Food finally arrives, hurrayyyyyyyy! The ultimate ribs, were more cold than warm, the side of coleslaw looked like 90% of it was missing and the “pot of sauce” was practically empty. Corn on the cob was dry and tasteless. Shocker, the upgraded fries were normal and not upgraded. Advise they should be garlic fries and to my surprise they were quick to come, but the replacement pot of sauce for the ribs never showed up. Finally asked for the bill, and 10 minutes in, the waiter with the cast on her arm comes back asking if we have had it, which is who we asked to give it to us. So clearly not. We ordered sour cream as a side, and got given what can only be described as warm cream Fridays use to be an all time favourite for quick dining, with good food. Shame it’s completely lost its sense of fun dining.

Overpriced and decidedly average. Side of onion rings works out at 75p per ring! Rip off! Music was too loud, making it very hard to communicate with staff wearing masks. Couldn't have a conversation without shouting. When I asked a member of staff if the volume could be turned down a bit her first words were "Pardon?", no joke....🤦‍♂️ Over 15 quid for half a rack of ribs, a few chips and a small mushy bit of corn on the cob is daylight robbery.

Tired, with sticky seats and only 1 menu per table "because of covid". First two drinks couldn't be made because ingredients missing from delivery, then two burgers we wanted weren't available because something else missing. Appalling choice for vegetarians. Settled on vegetarian fajitas which was probably the best out of the 4 meals we ordered. My husband had a burger which was the same size as our child's but twice the price and missing bacon. Beans served with kid's meal about the portion size of a small egg. Cocktails were also small but £10 each. No toilet paper in the ladies cubicle. Honestly I would never visit again, I have great memories of this place from being a kid but it has gone downhill rapidly. Avoid!

I've always had a thing for TGI Friday's, all over the world, and in Cardiff since the 90s. I love the decor in the St David's one, including The Hulk, and the service is good. But - and I'm pretty sure this isn't just the nostalgia talking - the food is so different to how it used to be. There's nothing distinctive about it anymore, and the portions are smaller while the prices have gone up. It's all just fine but I wish it could be more, especially for the price.

Delicious food; OK service. Quite disorganised and ineffective, but the end product was worth the wait. I love this place, seriously consider trying the Hoisin Ribs and Fridays Glaze wings!

If you turn up with a group of 4 adults and two young children on a Tuesday lunch time when the restaurant has more staff in it then guests be prepared to receive customer service like your sat in Karen’s diner. The attitude from the staff once we asked if they had a table for us should have been enough for us to turn round and not bother but we gave her the benefit fit of the doubt and all I can say is that the experience didn't get any better then that. The food was okay, but you’d expect some level of decent customer service from a relatively large food chain, with brand standards!

Disappointing. Food was cold. Luckily the dog has no qualms eating cold steak. They did discount our drinks as an apology and gained an extra star

We ate here as a family after an event at the CIA. It was busy everywhere but they managed to get us sat fairly quickly which was good. Once we were sat down, the service became almost farcical. The waiter took our order then came back some time later to tell us he had put it through on the table next to us by mistake so to keep an eye out for it. When the food arrived it was the main courses. We explained we hadn't had the starter yet and then he came to ask us what we ordered. It transpired he hadn't even put it through so we had to wait for them to cook the starters. To be fair the food itself was good. No criticism in that respect. We asked for some refills on our drinks and they brought the wrong number of drinks. After we finished the mains, he cleared the plates and disappeared. He never came back to ask if we wanted desserts. It was one of the most incompetent displays I have seen and it ruined what was a nice day out. The manager was very nice and friendly and understood our concerns. She was quick to take some money off the bill which was a nice gesture but didn't detract from a shambolic level of service.

They had ran out of most things on the menu which was disappointing. We ordered chicken burger and sweet potato fries which arrived luke warm, We complained and they said they wld do a fresh one but my friend and I had bad stomachs the next day. Food was overpriced for what it was too

Asked for baked potato and was given chips. Similarly to the person before me, we wanted a specific dish and the store said they didnt have it. They also gave us a completely wrong order of BBQ ribs. One friend asked for peppercorn sauce but they gave him BBQ sauce with the ribs without letting him know. A huge letdown.

Wow, absolutely ridiculous prices, no wonder it was empty, well about 7 tables full. The staff took ages to clear the table, didn't once come to refill our refillable drinks, the food was basic, ribs looked like they came out of a plastic pouch microwaved, then slightly grilled. Paid for the ultimate ribs £30.00 thinking they'd be something special, boy was I wrong. The prawn starter was again nothing to praise, 5 prawns for £10.00🙈. £10.00 for a cheap tinned hotdog, that my boy ate in seconds. My daughter wanted sesame seed chicken, without the chilli flakes, sorry we can't do that because its a mixed packet, so it was basically some fries and a few chicken strips for £20.00. This is the 3rd time I've been in the last 12 months and honestly, I'll never go again, I don't care how much my kids beg, we are not going, last time was the newport Rd branch which was cr*p, so my daughter said maybe the city centre one will be better, nope, the food was just as average. Any day of the week I'd go to Nando's or Miller Carter over this place, actually I'd rather a Burger King. The atmosphere was ok, the decor was great don't get me wrong but the staff, were more interested in mucking about, wasn't busy enough to warrant the average service. £130 on a birthday night out, never again. Do yourselves a favour, go somewhere else.

Not very impressed, slow service average food, poorly presented. Clearly too few staff, those there worked hard if not smart. No managerial direction. Staff pleasant and helpful when you could get their attention.

TGI Fridays impressed me with its friendly staff, diverse menu, and delicious food. The Jack Daniel's chicken and brownie dessert were highlights. It's a great place for a fun night out or a date night. Once again, thank you to Jacob for creating this wonderful experience. Can't wait to return!

We arrived at TGI Fridays tonight and the host was friendly and welcoming. Our server Jacob, who was cheerful, polite-full and attentive. The experience we had was like no other place. We had a wonderful experience as we had a mixture of the bottomless brunch cocktails. Conversation was made at every interaction I would highly recommend coming here.

The 5 star is aimed more at the staff, in particular Jacob S! He was fantastic, so warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and he sorted out a wrong dish straight away. Food wise I would lower to a 3 unfortunately, burgers weren't cooked properly. Chips were lush though but absolutely not worth the £15 per meal.

We have been seated quickly but getting anything we ordered took ages. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and there were plenty of staff around. We asked about the rewards app for the free desert and out waitress had no clue about it which did not help. The cocktails we ordered first turned out to be overly sweet so we sent them back and ordered a completely different one along with lime soda for our meals. Food arrived and it was very standard. Nothing you cannot make at home by just chucking some frozen stuff in the oven. We were almost done with food and no sign of even the sodas so we can drink something with our meal. Something like this should be illegal. Cocktails arrived and they were better. Some other cocktails arrived once we finished the first ones. Those were the ones we actually wanted and we just drank something different without being told what they were. On the bill we had been charged for both sets even after explaining the confusion to a different waiter (who was trying his best) and the manager. Never been scammed before at a restaurant but here we are. At the end we paid the overpriced meal so we can leave. They even charged us for the free desert from the app due to us trying to sort drink. Shocking service which could have turned out better with a more experienced waiter. We will not go here ever again!

Took along time for anyone to even acknowledge us at the front desk .we were finally seated and had to wait to be served . Only 10 customers in the restaurant. Staff more interested in talking then dealing with customers. Food and drink was very good . Shame about the service .this was a birthday treat wish we hadn’t bothered .my meal came out wrong and the waitressed looked at me as if I was wrong . Not very impressed. Waiting to pay was just as painful. TGI you need to train your staff in customer service .

Worst meal I’ve had, couldn’t bite into the burger or cut it with a knife as it was so over cooked. The fries were rock hard that you couldn’t piece them with a fork. Ordered a refillable drink which wasn’t refilled at all. I was there over an hour, after the food arrived no one walked past (to check the food was alright or to refill the drink) until they came to collect the plates which I then explained the meal was inedible. Staff member just looked at me and said “overcooked? What do you want me to do about it?”, I said take it off the bill please as I’m not waiting for another one, I’ve been here nearly an hour now. When paying team member left the tip option open on the card machine which wasn’t warranted given the food and the fact the drink wasn’t refilled.

Not as good as it used to be. 35m wait for our drinks. 45m wait for the bill. It wasn't exactly busy either for a Sunday evening. The food was good but the service was appalling. Word or warning, if you have the Gluten Free burger maybe ask for it without the Bun, it's rock-hard.

The service was amazing, perhaps the best I've ever experienced. There weren't many vegetarian options as I went with a vegetarian (I am a meat eater). The beyond burger was very good (especially for a vegetarian burger). The cream soda wasn't sugary enough. The chicken finger were very good too. It wasn't cheap but definitely worth it, I recommend it as more of a birthday eat out than something casual. Please note that this is upstairs so if you are afraid of heights stick to the storefronts.

We where seated straight away, however, it took our server a good 20 minutes for our to be taken. Food came out fairly quickly. But it wasn’t very nice and chips where cold. Also the portion sizes are very small for the steep price. We didn’t receive a check back until we’d eaten the majority of our food. I then ordered myself another drink, which wasn’t added in the till for another 10 minuets. But was was made quickly when the bartender received the ticket ( I know this because I was by the bar and could see it was made). My drink was sat there for a good 10 minutes, I had to ask for my drink. I ask our server for the bill, took her about 5 minutes as she clearly had something important to tell the other employees. The bill came to almost £70, disgusting. Not the type of food or service I expected for almost £70!! 100% will not be returning!!

Very friendly staff, one was a bit too happy if you ask me. But on a serious note, food was served promptly to a good standard and good size portions. It was a bit pricey, although it may have been the event day menu which had several choices crossed out, so if you're going when an international rugby match is on, expect a limited menu.

The young man took our order then read it back to make sure it was right .Our starts come was nice then it went down hill from then . Sat waiting for 30 to 40 minutes waiting for our mains then another young ladies brought our food two of the meals were wrong had to wait another 10 minutes for new food to come another two was cold . For the amount of money my family payed this service was not good enough. Would I recommend the restaurant no I would not would I go again no sorry only two stars for me

30 minutes after ordering we had to ask for our drinks. Waiter forgot what we ordered and nachos were cold. The guy was clearly new but had no enthusiasm. The other waitresses seems to be much quicker and more attentive

I had the most wonderful waitress here, her name was Charlotte. She went above and beyond to build a connection with us as customers and was very helpful! Sincerely hope she is my waitress again the next time I visit. Food and drinks were also nice, reasonable portions and was all served swiftly!

Booked yesterday for 6:15pm. Got there on time and was seated fast. We waited 50 minutes for a single member of staff after being seated to even look in our general direction. Our orders were taken and the food came out in what i would call a normal wait time. Food was nice, no problems at all. It then took atleast 40 more minutes of waiting after we had finished our meals for our waitress to come back over to the table, to offer me a box for my leftovers. She didn't clear the table or even give us a chance to ask for the bill. after even more waiting she brought over the bill and a box for me. our entire experience in the restaurant took 2 and a half hours. If we had made plans for that evening I would be livid. Definitely wont be returning. Such a shame because i really do love the food here but its not worth wasting an entire evening.

booked a table for 8:45pm but arrived early , was taken into the restaurant promptly by the hostess. my partner and me were sat our table for at least 30 minutes before we had to call a waiter over to take our orders as there was a number of staff walking past us who wouldn’t even look in our direction , although we were situated in the centre of the restaurant , witnessed many tables who were sat at 15 minutes after be served before. as a waitress myself , i understand how difficult it can be while the restaurant is busy , but waiting 30 minutes before i even had drink order taken? i wouldn’t dream of doing that to a guest in my place of work. it was just unbelievable the amount of staff that were just walking past us when we still had no drinks on the table and the menus were still in front of us , usually more of a sign that we have not ordered.

After a long day at work I decided to have a meal out. I chose TGI Fridays because it was reasonably close and convenient. As I was seated, the waiter was very polite and made me relax immediately. His customer engagement skills were very good, understanding from only a few questions exactly what I wanted to order. Throughout the meal he was attentive and courteous, ensuring I had everything I needed. He also brought a sense of humour to my evening; something that was very welcome after a difficult day at work! Overall, his buoyant demeanour and his efficient service ensured I had a pleasurable experience at your restaurant. I will be returning! '

We had a terrible experience, sent a starter back then a main. Was absolute chaos, the one meal came out in stages which was the one we didn't end up having at all. No one waiting tables after you were sat because they're waiting by the kitchen to bring out food. Manager Sally was great & brought chips out for my sister who didn't end up having her meal, & discounted the bill. Won't be returning though, always stick to Newport road, lesson learnt!

Wife enjoyed the chips. Found the burger cold in places. I enjoyed my burger for about three bites bit then found ingredients i requested to bot be in it. Didnt complain there and then as my anxiety was playing up badly that day. But overall not amazing.

Not all TGI Fridays are like this one, so I don't discredit the entire brand. However, today the place was dirty, watched several staff walk by the mashed up chips on the floor without picking them up. It wasn't that busy so no excuse. The table we were sat at was dirty, with milkshake drips on it and dried gravy? Considering we just went through a pandemic it's pretty poor hygiene. Drinks were fine but the burgers were overcooked and we had to send one burger back as it was burnt to a crisp, then waited 15 minutes for it to come back by which time the rest of the table had finished their meal. The chips were nice but it was a poor experience all in all. Would not go back, it's not cheap either so better to spend your money elsewhere. Also the waitress who took our money to pay did not return with any change, obviously just assumed it was a tip but we did not say to keep it.

Very slow service. We were not offered desserts when we finished our main course just the bill which arrived very quickly to our table along with the card machine like they couldn't wait to get rid of us. 20 minute wait for our drinks to arrive to the table after ordering them, and we had to ask 3 different waiters about a side order we had missing from our meals before it finally arrived. Floor had dirty cutlery on it which staff kept walking past with out picking up.

Thank you for a lovely meal on 27th September. We were there to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. Our server, Cerys, was excellent throughout our visit. She was always smiling and happy to help. She made sure that we had everything we needed including drink refills. Her enthusiasm and great customer service was superb throughout. She is a credit to your restaurant and to the Friday's company. The birthday card on arrival was a lovely touch. Please pass on our thanks to her. Great service. Great food. Great time!

one polite member of staff, others had a miserable look on their faces the whole time. cocktails took around 20-25 minutes to come out. some of the drinks we ordered came after the food had already arrived. cutlery was dirty and the drinks weren’t as displayed as they were on the menu and around half full and plate came out with food reminiscence on it.

My partner and I came in came in for a 5 year anniversary dinner for us and also the 2 year anniversary of my mums death. This was supposed to be a very sentimental dinner for the both of us especially being so my mother was a loyal customer of this ‘establishment’ and it was her most loved place. However we walked away completely disappointed, disheartened and disgusted. I have never been so distraught over a dinner. The food took such a long time to arrive I may as well have gone over to Nando’s for dinner and by the time I return I would still be waiting for my food. I now know to order the day before if I want it on time. As for the food, the burger my partner ordered was so hard she almost chipped her tooth biting in to it and as for my loaded ‘fries’ (more like loaded soup) were so off putting I don’t think I will ever be able to eat any sort of chips again. Just so everyone’s aware, the BOGOF cocktails are an absolute joke as well. £16. I could make my own cocktails for cheaper and they would be 50x better than the ones here. You might notice it’s raining today. That would be my mum crying down from the heavens on how disappointed she is from my experience last night.
