Absolutely awful. Sub standard quality charging premium prices. Steak was swimming in fat and sauce. Would of preferred a sauce separate as it usually is. Chips were frozen and probably reheated a hundred times. The place lacks class and quality. The prices should reflect that. Oh, and I also nearly broke my neck in the toilets. Like an ice rink.

Great food and service, a bit pricy but not overly for a restaurant in the City centre! Steak was cooked medium rare as ordered and was tender with a great flavour. The extra items we ordered were also excellent and would happily eat there again.

First time at this place and it's fantastic! Late night steak at 2am and what a steak it was too! One of the best in town. Cool low light candle lit atmosphere with a very unique style. If your by a window you can see over the popular nightlife at at Mary's street. The chefs are on view from the restaurant and the smells coming out of the kitchen are fantastic! Worth a visit especially if you want quality food after 11pm!

Love this place. It's old fashioned shabby chic, full of character and unpretentious. It's just a unique place with rustic charm and the food is excellent. Steaks are tender, flavoursome and cooked perfectly. Vegetables are cooked to perfection too and the battered cauliflower is a delicacy as far as I'm concerned! Staff are attentive and very friendly. Does exactly what it needs to with no airs and graces and i feel very comfortable in those surroundings. Steak at midnight.. awesome πŸ˜„ it's a fun, tasty and filling experience as the portions are massive with the atmosphere of st Mary street and chippy alley floating through the window. Always visit when I can get to Cardiff it's just brilliant.

Best mixed grill I've ever had. Go for the mega if you've got a big appetite. Prices are a little high but you're gonna be full at the end. Quality and quantity in one. Staff are friendly and service was spot on

One of my favourite restaurants in Cardiff, I’ve been there many times in the mid night or early morning. Brilliant service and delicious steak. I’m not share why there are so many negative reviews. What else would you have in that time at night, this is the best place to go before or after fun time in the club together with your lovely ladies. If not, just go to the kebab shop down stairs! Lol

Have been to this steakhouse many times since 2008. Tonight after the Wales v Japan game we take family there to experience some great food. HOWEVER we were to be bitterly disappointed. We sent an undercooked steak back twice and still it arrived with blood seeping out. The lady in question could not eat the steak because of this. On complaining about it again we were offered a refund. This was acceptable to us HOWEVER once the manageress heard of this she withdrew the offer and castigated the member of staff and threatened us with the police. So don't go to this place anyone unless you want badly cooked food and horrible customer service. Yours a disgruntled former patron.

My husband and I went there for food after a Saturday night in Cardiff, as it’s open till early hours it was perfect. The atmosphere I would discribe as rustic, and cosy, food was cooked exactely as we asked, one of the best steaks I’ve had. Enjoyed a glass of wine with the food, service was just as good was made to feel welcome, the staff were all friendly, prices are reasonable.

One of 6 steaks served to our table was ransid. After confirming with someone else at the table that it was indeed so, we reported it to the manager. Rather than apologising we were arrogantly told that it was from the same batch as the others and there was no problem. The fact that the patron then was ill proved the point. We were not even requesting a refund just trying to point out the fact. I have never been spoken to by a manager or owner of a restaurant in that way.
