We ate here Friday after my partner had worked all week all we wanted was a decent meal out. We reserved a table but upon arrival we were ignored and stood for about 15 minutes, the staff saw us but chose not to seat us or the many people stood behind us. When someone finally came they told us just go find a table... (very bad customer services) whilst eating we witnessed a very old frail man waiting for about the same time whilst a member of staff ignored him taking a call, this man should have been a priority as he was short of breath and coughing and looked about 90. The starter of chicken strips was chewy and inedible, i couldn't even bite through 1 piece. When our mains turnt up, (chicken burger with chips and onion rings for me and hunters chicken for my partner) my burger was of a lower standard than a mcdomnalds chicken burger, greasy and the same chewy chicken. A sorry spoonful of sloppy coleslaw to garnish the plate. My partners hunters chicken was not edible, it was swimming in bbq sauce, see pictures... She ended up leaving her meal having only eaten a few chips and trying the chicken. The staff were rude all apart from 1 server who seemed to be the only one who gave a hoot about the customers turning up, he actually made the effort to seat people and ask how the food was, (Kenzie - thanks fir being the only competent staff member) the other staff were rude and didn't seem to care about the customers, it's customers who keep this place afloat and treating people badly will drive customers away. Overall we will not be eating here again. We spent about £65 here for an abismal experience I would definitely not recommend eating here. Kenzie should be made team leader and should implement his work ethics amongst the other staff member to teach them how to properly address customers needs.

Chicken parmy was amazing, freshly cooked and a decent size unlike other pub/restaurants who serve microwave meals. Great blue light discounts - I'll recommend this place to all my fellow firefighters! All round fantastic day out. Prices were great, £6.80 for the large meal and £4 for the huge desert served in a takeaway box as you are guaranteed not to finish it in one sitting.

A great place for a meal with or without children...there is a separate section if you bring your kids. Specific parking outside with disabled parking spaces. Easy access into the building (no steps to negotiate if you have mobility issues). A very good selection of food available, including veggie and vegan options. Order your choices at the counter/bar and you pay there. Service was very good and quick too. I had the Farm Giant Burger, which was delicious and very filling. Eaton mess for dessert. It was very reasonably priced and food was well presented and cooked. I recommend going, and I'll be back again. Thank you!

My sister and I took our mother here for lunch, being Mother's Day we wouldn't have got in without booking, and when I saw how busy it was I expeted long delays at the very least. Couldn't have be more wrong, the staff were fantastic, all working none stop ensuring every one enjoyed their visit. One lady even went to get a cushion for my mother to make her seat more comfortable, amazing service. If you do visit, don't leave without trying a dessert, even if you end up taking some home, they are huge! Highly recommended!! I will certainly revisit.

If I was reviewing purely on food quality, this would have only been 3 star. The carvery was just ok - the ham was too salty for my taste, I didn't even have the mash as it looked awful (my boyfriend did have some and agreed that it wasn't nice) and the roast potatoes were burnt and not crispy. I went for the carrot cake for dessert - the cakes all look amazing and they are massive portions. I would describe this as a standard, slightly dry carrot cake flavoured cake - there were no pieces of grated carrot in it. However, the service was lovely and really friendly so I've upped it to 4 stars based on this. If you fancy a carvery and a huge dessert then this would be a good choice for you.

They have plenty of tables and Sunday dinner is reasonable price (especially week day!).

I ordered a rump steak, medium, which suggests pink inside. I was given a small little burnt looking side road pebble of a steak. It’s not just well done, it’s not even congratulation, it graduated, had a degree and had 6 kids. How did this cost me £14…

Good pub/resturant with qr codes in table for quick and easy ordering. There is a tiny children's play are inside which was quite crowded. The staff were all fantastic and really make the place, they were so friendly. Food was OK but we had burnt nachos and garlic bread. Ample parking and really easy to get to. There is loads on the menu for both children and adults. The cakes looked amazing but I didn't try one. Every kids meal came with an ice cream which they really enjoyed.

As we entered, we were politely greeted and quickly seated. We had the carvery both standard and vegetarian. They were both quite tasty, roast potatoes and mash weren't great while parsnips, cauliflower cheese, gravy and turkey were fantastic. Steph was friendly and helpful with the vegetarian options. Overall a good experience.

The buffet allows for huge portions at low prices! It’s pub food but enjoyable overall. The festive decor makes it worthwhile. Self service

We visited to the restaurant in group of six. We have ordered two large plate of carvery, one chicken wings and one ribeyes steak to share among us. However the Manager came right after we got the carvery on the table and warned us that we could not share the carvery among us. Since we are friends gathering so that I had not argue with him on this issue on site. But his behavior embarrassed us all and made us felt being bullied. I just questioned why we cannot share the one round order of carvery because we had paid it in advance. The ownership of the food should be ours. If we can get a second round, of course the sharing is not fair to the restaurant. But if they allowed the customer to get as much food as they can on one plate in one round. They should not bother us how to eat our own food on our table. If he wanted to limit the amount of food that the customer taken, why they don't make a sign in the restaurant to notify the customer about it ? Then the customer would know how to obey their rules. I am really angry about the bad experience with them on such a happy night with my friends. I would never recommend this pub to all of my friends in the future. This is the only bad experience that I have in Cardiff. I did complain onto their website but it seems no response from them. Hope this could help you to select a good restaurant in Cardiff.

Our first ever visit, the restaurant was very busy, but that did not affect our visit. The food was first class, great portion sizes and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be visiting again. A big thumbs up to the lovely young staff member looking after our area of the restaurant, table 53 on 5th April. He kept all the tables clean, was so polite and friendly, he is a real asset to the restaurant. Sadly we didn't get his name.

Food was lovely, the app was really easy to order from. The table were clean and the staff were pleasant seating me when I hadn’t booked before hand. The only issue was the 2 month out of date fruit shoot that the waiter just looked at me and said ‘yeah’ 👀Praying my daughter isn’t unwell from this!

Lovely time with the family. It was definitely worth the money. Family had two standard carvery, with two farmhouse chicken combos. Staff were very polite and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable experience. The desert display looked lovely.

It's got that airport eatery vibe going on. Maybe it's the decor, which is decidedly uninspiring. We've eaten here a number of times, only because it is convenient. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet in the mornings can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes there is freshly food, but usually not. The hot water for the do-it-yourself mug of tea is sometimes hot, sometimes not. Things seem to improve when they are busy, mostly in the evenings. But it is a place for families, so expect happy, loud children at the far end of the establishment. It's okay, nothing special.

Worst Eggs Benedict I have ever been served! Inedible! Bread!!!!! Fatty bacon from the carvery, raw eggs and the sauce was utterly vile! Not sure how a chef could get all 4 elements of a dish wrong!

Met here for Sunday lunch with family! Very busy place as the food good value for the money. It's a carvery so they serve you with which meat you want then help yourself to veg. As its busy the food has a fast turn over so always hot. We would definitely go back to this pub.

We were a party of 11, ( should have been 15)had to wait for late comers before we could order. When the food came out it was all hot and all together. We had our own birthday cake which they brought it to our table with plates etc . Couldn't fault the service. When we left l noticed the dessert counter!!! I then wished l hadn't brought our cake. !!!!!! Will definitely be back

A great place to eat. The food is always hot. The carvery is fantastic. If you have children, they have a great family area. And if you're a group of adults without any children, it's a great place to go if you don't like being disturbed by them. So it works well either way. The staff are lovely too. It's always a pleasure to eat there.

It's okay - quite cheap for food so happy with it all. ***To replied back to owner, I ordered a carvery, maybe because I gone there round 8pm on a Saturday..the place was quiet and the food was really dried and its must have been siting there for quite some time.. quality could have been better but value was good as its quiet cheap so it's all good.

Visited the Cedar Tree Farm this evening and was impressed with all aspects of our visit. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Although it was quite busy all areas was very clean & tidy. We ordered 2 carveries, the meat was very succulent and there is a large range of veg to accompany the meal plus the gravy was the tastiest i've tasted in a carvery pub. The price was very reasonable too!! Will definitely be returning soon.

Really enjoyed dining here with my family. Food was nice and if you have a slice of cake, make sure you have room as they are massive!

I had to kill some time while a relative had a hospital appointment, the food is amazing here, staff are really friendly too, it was early and a week day so quieter than I would imagine later evening or weekends would be. Great value for money and recommend either trying or take home a dessert. After the buffet breakfast, I didn't eat for the rest of the day/night so dessert take out for the following few days! One of my favourite places to eat out!

Never been here before even though it's been open years! The place is huge, it was busy at lunchtime hut still loads of tables available. Food was really lovely, huge portions! Had steak and ale pie, really nice. Veggie daughter has cheese and potato pie, she would definitely have it again! Check out the huge cakes in the display cabinet 😋. We had a slice between 3 of us and still couldn't finish it all!

The food was really good and we were served quite quickly. The staff were helpful but it was so hot in the restaurant that it become really uncomfortable. I had to step outside (while I had my food in front of me) just to cool down. When asked about it members of staff didn't seem interested. I did ask for the main door to be propped open to cool it down and a member of staff did do it briefly but then another removed it.
