Burgers were good, nice flavour and well cooked. Portions were decent. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Everything did feel grubby, particularly the stairs to the toilet and the toilets which were not v clean. Appreciate it's busy and was just after Christmas but would expect better.

Been meaning to try honest burgers forever but never got into town for it. Decided on a late night takeaway one night instead. Ordered a kids meal and as you can see it's more than enough to feed an adult! Had a side of coleslaw too. Burger was absolutely lovely, had a chicken burger. Felt similar to grazing shed just with a few less toppings. Very fresh and moist chicken. Unfortunately left most of the fries as thought they were a bit rubbish. Very thick cut which was fine, but so greasy and crispy there was no potato inside them, it was just like a greasy crispy skin. Coleslaw was ok, nothing to write to home about. Nothing wrong with service at all, prices very fair. Just not for me.

Fantastic. Thick pink juicy burger. Really hit the spot. Good range of burgers so there is something for everyone. Fries were too crispy for my liking but the taste was good. Nice lager to wash it down with. Service excellent. Gets very busy. I felt rushed by the waiting customers looking at me Overall a great dinner

Previously only ever ordered online due to Covid. Whilst in town recently, we popped in for some food. It didn't let us down. Prices are decent for what we ordered, and they do a nice spread of beers and lagers from local brewers like Tiny Rebel. The order was for three burgers and risemary chips (Honest, Tribute and Cheddar), with a side portion of onion rings and seasonal slaw. Drinks were a pint of Burger beer, homemade lemonade and a Karma cola. As we attended just after opening time, we were quickly seated and within 15 minutes had ordered drinks and food. Drinks followed quickly as did the food, which was hot and filling. Total for everything came to just over £60, which includes a service charge.

My second time here this month. Came here this time because Fat Hippo refused to serve me due to my nut allergy. Lovely place, friendly staff, delicious burgers. Made me feel safe on both occasions.

I discovered honest burger when hunting for best burgers in London around 10 years ago. It was in Oxford Street and moved to my tip three after the first bite. This one in Cardiff is as good. Fresh meat and cooked to perfection as you can see in the pictures. They will make it welldone if you ask for it but it's a crime to fully cook meat if you ask me. Don't forget to warm up with their nice cinnamon whisky shot The fries and other sides are normal, but burgers are must try

Honestly pardon the pun, these are the best burgers you will find in Cardiff. Made with great quality mince and so so juicy. The chips are cooked to perfection and added rosemary which is always nice. I always double mine up and end up in a food coma All day. It must be so hard to work there and just have to look at all the amazing food there. Whenever I’m in Cardiff I will always go here purely because they are the best burgers and secondly because the service is always so good. Staff are always friendly and nice.

The burgers here were overall pretty good, preferred the smash burger over their regular ones. However there was simply too much oil in the burgers and especially the onion rings, that brings the food down a notch. As others have mentioned the chips although nice, seemed to be mostly broken crispy bits left at the bottom of the batch.

Just ordered a cheeky payday lunch to my office, and I was VERY impressed, as were my colleagues -I had the September special Buffalo Blue burger and it was absolutely delicious... Better than Grazing shed.. Maybe on par with Got Beef or dare I say perhaps better! Beef patty was 😘👌 The pickles in the burger were particularly good and the sauces (ranch mayo & buffalo sauce) were delicious! Some other reviews said they weren't fussed on the chips, but i personally enjoyed them - they were super crispy and I loved the rosemary salt, even had some juicy rich beef gravy for dipping thrown in! I will have to come back for a date night with the Husband and sit in, as I am feeling slightly guilty for eating a good burger without him 😂🍔 only slightly...

Must depend on the chef as the quality can dip someday chips and burger have little to no seasoning. Staff members have no uniform and act highly unprofessional. Feels like a glorified McDonald's. I don't think I will be a returning customer P.s music is overwhelming with rock / metal. Overheard customers complaining about the volume as I was waiting over 20 minutes for my 1 burger and chips that was not plain as requested with a side of onion rings which where just batter covered oil. Perhaps hiring new staff members wouldn't be a good start.

One of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten. The service is excellent, polite and friendly. I will be back whenever I'm in Cardiff. The seasoning to the point, I recommend it.

Had a very good burger prior to Wales v’s Australia. 5 mins wait for a table, sat downstairs in the basement. Waiter was super helpful and nothing to mush trouble, requested music to be turned down as my head was hurting as were my kids ears! Burgers were very good been a while since my last Honest burger! Very good and kids burger also top quality. One of my boys loves the spicy sauce!! I pointed out that our boys burger did not have the extra bacon that we ordered and removed from bill and slight discount applied which was nice touch. Great pre-match food and a short walk to the stadium. Will be back again very soon, shame my local is a 50 mins drive away in Reading!

One of the best burgers I’ve had. Really quick table turnaround so even if busy (which they usually are), we only had to wait 5-10mins. I went for the Chimichurri burger (Seasonal special) and my SO had the chill burger. Both had succulent juicy burgers cooked medium rare, and plenty of flavour from the burger toppings. Plenty of napkins needed!

Honest review of Honest Burger… I was expecting big things, but sadly does not live up to the hype. Average burger like you would find in TGIs or something, however chips are superb. Great service, would return here again.

Great food served here. The menu is great with something for everyone. The rosemary chips are very tasty. The only problem is that if you sit outside in the evening not only do you have to put up with super loud music from other food/drink outlets but you also get accosted for lighters from passing drunks, plus abuse being shouted as they pass by. If I were to go again I'd sit inside.

A great place for a burger. Great atmosphere and great service. Access is straight from the street and no steps. Service was quick with service which was friendly and informal. I had the Christmas burger which was delicious and wonderfully messy. Very reasonably priced. Very much recommended and I'll be back. Note that the public toilet is downstairs and I wasn't aware of a lift for those who can't manage stairs.

One of the few places that gets a 5 star. Food was great! The rosemary chips are so good the burger and chips is the perfect portion with neither me or my brother feeling hungry afterwards. I had the honest burger and rosemary chips as well as a cider and a pale ale. The service was seamless and the venue was awesome. Best burger joint in Cardiff I've found so far.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit last week. I got the double smash burger with bacon and buffalo wings with a side of chipotle sauce. I have to say the food was excellent. Very fresh and the burger was so succulent and moist. Not dry like other burger places. Will definitely be going back soon 🔜 🔥

Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. I think I had the I ❤️ bacon special burger. Tell you what it was bloody beautiful. Even when I went in the staff were really friendly and made me feel welcomed. The food didn't take very long to arrive at all which was great. I will definitely be coming back again next time I am in Cardiff. Keep up the great work!

What can I say. Well worth a visit. Went to the one in Greenwich a while ago and was impressed so thought I'd see if it was a one off, definitely not. Juicy pink burger. Cooked to perfection. But don't forget the bacon gravy. Perfect for dipping the burger or the fries.

Really good burgers - moist and cooked a perfect medium! Fries were very good, just not the biggest fan of rosemary (fries automatically came seasoned like this). Really enjoyed the homemade lemonade. Customer service was friendly and welcoming.

Great place. Friendly and welcoming staff, very helpful with changes to the menu. Being gluten and dairy free makes eating out tricky and this place is very accommodating! It's the first place I found to serve gf onion rings! Portions are generous and food tastes great. Would definitely recommend! To those who hate looking for the bathroom in a new place: follow the sign downstairs and just keep going! Don't mind the 'staff only doors', just keep going and you'll find it round the corner. Mens and ladies are both in the same room :)

We like Honest Burger as a chain, so we decided to try the branch in Cardiff. The staff was super nice. We had a really great guy waiting our table. Couple of issues occurred, and he was very good at dealing with them (e.g., he brought us wine in a glass with lipstick on it but replaced it straight away). The food was nice but not as nice as in other Honest branches we have been to. But the real issue was with the toilets. They were truly disgusting. The pictures don't do it justice... you would expect better hygiene from a restaurant.

Good burgers and awesome fries. I recommend the vegan Christmas Burger. Staff was friendly, but service could've been a bit better. Overall, solid experience.

The burgers here are amazing, and the rosemary fries are tasty too. There is plenty to choose from on the menu, and the setting is lovely. Having been to a few of the London locations previously when travelling and loving the burgers, it's great to see one has opened up closer to home in Cardiff. Would definitely recommend.

Been couple times now, burgers been lush both times most recent visit felt like most of my chips were the bottom bits left from the batch. Lots of small very crispy bits. I really like the board with the local endorsements and the local special ideas in principle.

This was the perfect place to arrive after a long train ride to Cardiff. We got to taste the different beers and cider which were all very nice. The burgers were also very tasteful. We were served by Grace whose sparkling friendly personality made us feel very welcome in Wales. Will come back!

Great food and great service. Jam Donut beer is a must try. We had 6 different burgers, all were great. Try the bacon gravy on the side!

Perfect 😍👌 great atmosphere! Lovely music, some were even from my playlist, which never happens anywhere else! Lovely outdoor! Very sweet staff! And the best vegan burger in Cardiff ❤🙏

Amazing! My first visit and I left wanting more, so much so, I wanted to order again to take it home. I had the Tribute Burger, which was quite possibly the best burger I've ever eaten. An explosion of flavour, perfectly seasoned and just oozed deliciousness. To accompany the burger was Rosemary Chips and these were really lovely. Staff were super friendly, restaurant very modern and open plan and just added to the whole experience. If you want a decent burger with friendly staff and a great ambience, go here... Now! In fact, STOP reading this review and go now!!! I'll definitely be back. So enjoy, dear reader. 👍

BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS burgers from "head to toe" if you get what I mean! Everything is lush from the patties to the bun to the condiments. Five stars for the whole thing. Have ordered 5 times and will order more - 20? 30? You got it.
