Fantastic restaurant, conveniently located near Gray street car park. Helpful and friendly staff serving outstanding food. Very clean inside with good provisions for social distancing, helping to keeping both customers and staff safe. I will visit here regularly, a very authentic taste of Italy. highly recommended, even if you're just after a coffee while browsing along Cowbridge road.

Very good Italian cuisine. I haven't visited this place for a while. I was with a large party seated upstairs. We received very good service all evening. I can only speak for the pizza I ordered but it was large, tasty and very reasonably priced. I would say you get more pizza per £ than other restaurants I have visited recently. I ordered a 'white' pizza by accident but I do prefer the tomato base, so might want to check before ordering.

First time me and my partner decided to try this place, we ordered 2 carbonara with a portion of chips to take away. On arrival staff were friendly and tables were full so took that as a good sign. We get home to open dry unseasoned spaghetti, tasted like plastic🥴 and the meat was absolutely disgusting fatty and inedible. Will not be eating here again..even if the chips were oddly the best tasting chips I’ve had from a take away.

Amazing service, staff are friendly, food came out quickly. The quality of the food was great, fresh and flavourful. The vegan options were delightful. Prices were great. And really good portion sizes. Overall a very pleasant experience, I would highly recommend this place!

Have visited this restaurant on several occasions, the last 2 occasions, very disappointing hardly any meat in the bolognese (too saucy) , chips very dry and was seated down the stinky back, right by the toilet, that smelt. Literally has enough of this place. Plenty of other good Italian restaurants around , higher quality of food , better seating arrangements and more value for money.

Best Italian in the area, food and staff and wonderful. They also serve really good cocktails, their long island iced tea is the best ever xxx

Excellent food, I had a Welsh inspired lam and leek pizza on a white base. The staff were amazing and very attentive, the prices were also great. Would definitely recommend for a family meal!

Probably the best pizza in Cardiff. Proper italian pizza. Lots of good options. Reasonably priced. If you're looking for the truest italian experience in Cardiff, then look no further!

Me and my partner have been here a few times and never disappoints us. The food is always lovely and fresh and a great size portion too and the price is also brilliant for the quality you get. I will definitely be visiting again soon and if you are full off the meal then take the cake home as they are also amazing 😊

Love this tiny Italian cafe. More of a takeaway that a sit in experience. Book if you do want a table. Cheap and consistently good. Great coffee.

The best pizza around, always so consistent and delicious. Not too expensive, can’t beat it!

Fast delivery within 30 minutes of ordering via Deliveroo, the "pizza inferno" came to £16.98, found a stingy amount of salami topping given however, it tasted nicer than expected overall

This was our third time eating at this particular branch. We have eaten once as a couple at the branch in Cathays but we'd never been to either with our children before. I regret coming here today and can say that I never want to come back again. We rarely go out to eat nowadays because money is very tight and I wish we had gone elsewhere. From the time we came in, I could see that the bar manager was unhappy we were there. He did not hide his annoyance at my son's complaining and, throughout our rushed meal (rushed because I just wanted to get out of there), I could hear him swearing and looking over at us while muttering to the other staff. At one point, the waitress gave my son a biscuit, which I thought was kind of her. Unfortunately, when he didn't want it, that seemed to get on her nerves. Every time I looked up, I could see them watching us, annoyed and waiting for us to leave. At one point, the bar manager, two waiting staff and even the chef were standing behind the bar staring. As I was so stressed about the constant watching and complaining from the staff (I mistakenly thought that Italians might be more family-friendly but apparently not here), I asked my husband to take my son out for walk in the pouring rain for 10 minutes. But this didn't please them either. My daughter wasn't making any noise (sorry, I think she did speak...) but they still wanted us out. The muttering and looking over continued, so I tried to eat my pizza as fast I could (I'm pregnant too by the way and my daughter is 3 but I was trying to stuff it down her as we had paid for it and she was hungry). They pointedly asked me if I wanted the rest of the pizza to go. Thank God, my husband arrived back with my son and we left as quickly as you can with two small children, a baby bump and a pram. I have worked as a waitress in restaurants, hotels, at weddings and award shoes for years. I know it can be a stressful job but I can honestly say I never behaved with customers that way. Apart from the fact that it's mean and they pay your wages, it doesn't make your shift go any faster to be nasty to people. I gave an extra star because my daughter enjoyed the pizza (she ate the rest later). I don't remember what mine tasted like. I wonder why!

Great service , staff really friendly . Food was perfect. Pizza dough cooked perfectly in my garlic pizza bread . Nduja sausage pasta was amazing. Great value for money

Really reasonably priced, fresh and tasty Italian food. Casual Cafe style setting. The arancini starter was delicious, the lasagne was fresh and a perfect size portion! The dessert was so fresh and light! The Staff were friendly and welcoming, really nice that they brought water to the table without us requesting it! Will definitely return 😊

Small but cosy feel to the place. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food served promptly.

My husband and I went for lunch at this place. They are friendly. But they charged you 10£ for service which is quite a bit. When I ordered the pasta carbonara, the waitress asked me which pasta I wanted to eat with. So I chose fettuccine pasta which charged another 2.5£ on top of the menu price. She should actually explain to us for extra charge if the fettuccine is ordered. I hope they should charge service fee for more appropriately and explain for extra charge if the customer choose different pasta. A bit disappointed about service charging and extra cost without informing us.

Food and service was good, didn't need to create a reservation even though it was fairly busy. Calzone was fresh and tasty, big enough for 2 to share. Prices are good, recommended for lunch.

As always best experience, asked the waitress to bring 2 desserts of her choice and she didn't disappoint! Highly recommend to anyone, their main menu is incredible.

We hired the Calabrisella pizza van to do the catering at our wedding and we can't thank them enough! They were friendly and helpful from the first email. Turned up promptly on the day and set up quickly with no fuss. The van looked cool and they made us really delicious pizzas! Everyone really enjoyed them and the guys served everything with a friendly smile.

Amazing pizza's!! Would definitely come back there. Not much choice for vegetarians though, and the salad looked like it had seen better days and the cheesy garlic bread seemed to have forgotten its garlic. But the pizza's definitely made up for it.

Great place for Lunch or evening meal

  • 2/5 Natalie B. 2 years ago on Google
Very disappointing first experience. The garlic bread was soggy, little to no garlic or flavour and the broccoli pasta was bland and under seasoned. Not what I expected at all. My friend who had recommended it who also came with me said they were amazing but he was also very disappointed this time. Seems to have gone down hill a little. Won't be going again.

I really liked the food however, a lot of the food that is marked as vegetarians is not. They had a fish dish with a v symbol next to it as well as several Italian cheeses that cant be vegetarian. I like it but it's an issue

Great local Italian restaurant with great choice of authentic food & interesting specials. Pizzas, Pasta & most main dishes very large so make sure you come hungry! They also have a decent selection of proper Italian Gelato flavours 😁
