We went here for our family Christmas gathering, 11-of us. My grandson booked us all in for breakfast. Absolutely amazing, we weren't booked in to stay at Hotel.. Breakfast. From: Full English, to fresh Croissants, Pastries, crumpets. The list goes on. Have it all, if you want. Service, staff, were fantastic couldn't do enough for you. Awesome time then we sat in the lounge area where we gave our presents out. As Christmas day some of our family's are away. So we had an amazing gathering together. πŸ˜€ πŸ€—πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽπŸŽ…πŸ€ΆπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Could do with a face lift. Rooms are too hot with no air conditioning, windows open only a few inches but way too noisy from the traffic outside to sleep with the windows opened. Tiny tv with no subtitles available. Old style duvets- heavy and hot instead of light and airy. Staff very friendly but I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Well appointed room with fridge and complimentary bottles of water, a proper coffee machine and chocolate sweets. Negative was the evening meal which I had late 2100 , the main course came out whilst I was still eating my starter. Bar and restaurant were a nice relaxed area.

Really impressed with the interior of this hotel. Beautifully decorated and inviting, like a trendy bar/restaurant. Good drink selection, even a happy hour ! Plenty of food choice and friendly attentive staff. Doesn't look much from the outside but plenty of free parking. Not much around the area but well placed, not far from the motorway or east side of Cardiff. Rooms were as expected from a premier Inn, newly refurbished bathroom.

Looks can be very deceiving! When I pulled into the carpark I thought it looked like a council high-rise. However step inside and you walk into a very impressive lobby and bar offering quality food far from the usual premier inn standard! A great selection of drinks is also available. Rooms are very clean and all dispensers were full! The car park great parking with designated spaces specifically for large vans! The car park is also very well covered and monitored by multiple cctv cameras, its nice to be able to close your eyes knowing your van is safe. Staff polite friendly and helpful.

Staying at the Historic Elegance Inn was like being transported back to a more refined era. The inn's period furnishings and architecture exuded timeless charm. Our room was comfortable and full of character. The innkeeper's passion for history enriched our visit, offering fascinating insights into the area's past. The central location made exploring the historic district a breeze. A truly unique and enriching stay.

Great premier Inn, clean, easy check in, plenty of parking, modern. We had a regular room and was on the 3rd floor, spacious, clean with all the amenities needed. You could grab an iron and ironing board from a help yourself area, along with extra tea and coffee and towels. Comfy mattress, king size bed. Restaurant and bar area is brand new and modern.

Some premier Inns just aren't up to the standard of the better ones. No Air Con just a fan, Windows only open a touch, view of a brick wall right outside and the traffic noise was all night. The rooms are tired, not that clean and the bathroom fittings were rusty . Staff were pleasant and helpful.

IN DESPERATE NEED OF RENOVATION!!! Rooms are filthy! (mirror in bathroom clearly hasn't been cleaned judging by the messages left from previous guests when it steams up when shower is on. Previous guests also not happy apparently) Corridors have stained carpets and smell awful. Lifts are disgusting! If they've ever seen a mop I'd be suprised. No air con. Windows shut and heating set to 30 degrees on arrival! Ridiculous heat with only a broken fan to attempt to keep cool. (view facing busy main road so opening window when sleeping wasn't an option) Bed was broken. Too scared to move incase it fell through, although mattress was comfortable enough.

We really had terrific service from all their staff. Very polite and helpful smiling faces. Due to covid we could not help ourselves to food but staff were quick to respond to all our needs, will definitely go again.

This is the worst hotel i have seen It’s like you gone back to the 80s, Staff were rude, rooms were shocking, bad smell around the hotel including the bed rooms, mold around the ceiling, no bedding For the cot, the kids beds you could every springs they were sticking out,Cobwebs over the reception absolutely rubbish would never stay there for free I paid 120 for the night so had to drive back 3 hours so the family could sleep were it was clean I’m very disappointed as it was a little break for me and my kids, should have read the reviews before booking. We checked in after an hour checked back out couldn’t stay there as it was that dirty I would recommend this rubbish hotel to anyone

The hotel had clearly recently been refurbished and had a self registration pod rather than a receptionist. Room was clean and as expected but the main issue was there was only one chair in the room....a room with two adults staying in it. There is only so long you can sit on a bed comfortably until your back starts to ache. Other than sit on the floor or on the toilet there was nowhere else for a second adult to park their backside. Overall, the hotel was fit for purpose with ample parking and with a nice bar/lounge area.

This is how all premier inns should be!!! Upon entry I thought I'd gone to the wrong hotel and had to check it was a premier inn as the social looks like it would be more at home in a Malmaison. Easy to check in and the rooms were maybe on the small side for a premier Inn but overall nothing to complain about. Help yourself to an iron and board, loads of extra tea coffee and milk. And the best bit of all bar service till after 1am, that is a game changer, normally in the job I do we rush to the hotel and try to grab a pint before last orders and we normally miss it as if it's a premier inn "bar" they will lock up at about 9.30pm, not here, not Cardiff. Great hotel, the best premier Inn I have stopped in

Honestly just book! I have had no issues at all during my stay, the staff are so professional and nice... This hotel deserves way more stars than 3.

Good value for money. Room was clean and comfortable though small. Dinner was fine. At breakfast time they were rushed off their feet.

Nice hotel. Beautiful decor and very comfortable mattress. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant as well. Just the costs to add a small bowl of broccoli as a side to my meal was ridiculous. Besides that, we had a pleasant stay.

Not eaten in the restaurant or stayed there yet. A lovely meeting spot with funky decor like you're in paradise with the decadent jewelled colours. Function/ meeting rooms too. Lovely staff. Quiet during week days, Friday afternoon was heaving

Stayed here 20th June, Cardiff was absolutely buzzing, as was the hotel due to the Harry Styles concert on the same evening. Following it's revamp the hotel looks incredible, much more high end than a standard Premier Inn. The staff were fantastic, the lovely gent that checked us in was really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay down to meal times and bus/taxi rough costs. The two ladies on the bar that evening were really friendly, they are a credit to the hotel, they engaged with everyone who came for drinks, and it was great to see them chat with people who they had seen earlier asking how they found the concert. You could tell it made one little girls night as she was so excited to tell them. The rooms, food and staff make this a hotel I would πŸ’― recommend, and I will be returning!

The hotel looks beautiful after its refurbishment, and I had a decent night sleep. However, the attitude of staff the following morning was absolutely shocking. We were in Cardiff to attend the funeral of my grandmother, and despite being told that breakfast would only take 15 minutes to arrive, we were sat waiting for 45 minutes. Giving my husband 15 minutes to eat, and come back to the room to get ready. When staff were questioned, there was no apology or explanation. What was already an upsetting and stressful morning was made 100 times worse by poor kitchen planning and attitudes.

It's newly refurbished. Friendly staff and the rooms are exactly what you would expect from a Premier Inn. The restaurant there is also very nice with good food. Breakfast is really good.

Rooms were clean and quite spacious. Everything you need for a quick stop over. Didn't give any stars for service, as didn't receive any, it was self check in, and I didn't encounter any issues with the room, didn't use the bar or breakfast service either, so never saw any members of staff.

Comfortable bed.... But hotel seems to be in urgent need of some TLC. Room is below standard Premier Inn's I have stayed in before. But very helpful staff.

Location great though on a very busy road which is main route into Cardiff. The whole hotel is badly in need of a major face-lift. There is flaking paint. The rooms are adequate and bed very comfortable. As we were room only did not come across any staff so cannot comment. Our room was not tidied the next day and therefore coffee/tea etc not replenished but if we asked I expect they would have been. Come on Premier, get the paint out!

This Premier Inn is looking a little tired. It is in need of redecoration and some maintenance. It is excellent value for money if you just want the basics . Clean, no frills. The cooked English breakfast was excellent. The staff very attentive and helpful

Not sure where to start,, reception staff has no people skills not a hello or pleasant greeting, just what name is it. ..... now to the room .... I've stayed in plenty of hotels due to travelling for work and this has got to be the worst premier inn I have had the misfortune to stay at. Water was cold so had to boil kettle so I could have a shave, shower water was at best luke warm and if you dont mind sitting on the taps to get wet then this is the one for you, no heating so bring a hot water bottle if its winter. Cant lock the door as lock is broken. My advice find some where else

Be very careful while checking out, Kindly double check your belongings otherwise you won’t be able to get it back. I’ve forgotten my laptop charger there and found out they did not find it, very strange. They looked thrice but couldn’t find it and this is a β€˜3 star’ hotel experience for you, really sad. Alongside, pathetic internet service.

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time as I was very impressed with the Premier Inn Cardiff North. I stayed here for over a month. I initially chose it as it had been refurbished. The rooms were very nice - I stayed in a few. Room 226 I really liked as it was tucked away with a good view. The refurbishment was excellently done. Everything was clean and fresh and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great - clean and modern. Things like tea/coffee/milk were topped up regularly. Unfortunately I wasn't there when the restaurant was open but I'm hoping to go back in March to experience it. The main thing I loved about the place though was the staff. Each and everyone was pleasant, polite and professional plus friendly. They really are an asset to the company as they often went above and beyond. I can't thank them enough for making my stay there so good and I'm looking forward to going back and seeing some familiar faces. Wishing them all the best with the new restaurant.

Rooms recently renovated. Very nice indeed. Nice quality , glass shower screens , large TV, normal WiFi is fast. Not much around the area, you need a car to explore. Restaurant being refurbished ( Jan 2023) and closed. Nice gesture if s free coffee and croissant .

Good value. As no restaurant on site complimentary croissant, fruit and coffee for breakfast but had to eat in in our room. Only 1 chair in double room. Room too hot and duvet too thick, made it hard to sleep.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to the Premier Inn staff, in particular Megan who helped me when I left my wedding ring in my room. Once it was found she went out of her way to post it and it arrived safe and sound. I really appreciate the help.

Excellent hotel, upgraded to a premier plus room. The hotel has just been re-done and looks great. Friendly staff, lots of parking that is free if you stay. No restraunt at the moment but they make up for it by offering free coffee and croissants and friut in the morning. It is the little thins too like the hallways have an airfreshner, decwnt quality showergel and great soundproofing. Would reccomend an uber to cardiff city center cost like Β£14 great trip. Hotel price is alot more reasonable too. Will be back.

really pretty rooms, lovely staff, however the builders were noisy early in the morning as the building is being done up and there was no breakfast food just tea and coffee unfortunately but would definitely come back again and hopefully will have breakfast available lol

Excellent, newly refurbished hotel. Excellent rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. The new public areas, bar and restaurant looked lovely. When we stayed, they were still training new staff before opening (Will be fully open before you read this). A good complimentary continental breakfast was available with an excellent bean to cup coffee machine. We will definitely stay there again when in Cardiff....and with their excellent staff, we will probably try the restaurant next time.

We came here for a trampolining competition, hotel is newly refurbished with a lovely new social area that is very comfortable. Family room was spacious and spotless and really nicely decorated. The restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly in a very busy hotel, the only downside was the food which was extremely slow, but to be fair they were very very busy

  • 4/5 Joe D. 1 year ago on Google
The restaurant here was very good. While it can be very noisy when full, the food is really good and the staff friendly. My family and I were served by a lovely girl named Lian who was very charming! If management reads this I hope they give her a bonus!
