Despite having been a regular customer at Milk and Sugar in One Central Square, the customer service I have received is absolutely shocking. All female staff members have treated me with no respect and little care. After having a terrible experience with the staff here a couple of months ago, I told myself I was never going back, however today due to convenience I had no option other than to go here as I was in back to back meetings and had 10 minutes to grab some lunch. At first I thought, oh there are new staff members hopefully it has improved. However I soon regretted visiting this cafe. The waitress belittled me and started going on about how "her old manager was sacked and the new manager won't allow rules to be broken" after I had asked for a meal deal which is an offer the cafe has. After her telling me this, she then 'allowed' me to continue on getting a meal deal even though she'd made me out to be as if they didn't do these regardless of it being advertised. She was then extremely rude to me acting as if she was doing ME a favour even though all I wanted was a sandwich which considering I am a paying customer and was visiting a cafe surely was a right I had? Absolutely appalled by her customer service and attitude.

Customer Service is excellent food is superb. I really can't say enough good things about milk&sugar. OK, it's a bit more expensive than a starbucks or chain venue, but it's sooooo much better value to have freshly cooked produce of a very high standard. I use this place for a lunch or breakfast venue for work purposes and can't fault it!

The staff here are lush! The vibe is lovely and the cafe is spacious. There's a massive range of food to suit everyones needs. We often use this as a workspace for meetings whilst our office is under maintenance. Temperature is always nice which is a bonus!

This place has a nice vibe. The omelettes aren't bad either! Just wish they did tea in teapots...but then I'm old fashioned like that

Looks nice inside. Just a tip do not bring food from outside here i.e greggs, tesco sandwiches home made sandwiches as they are very particular about this even if you buy a coffee you can't eat food here unless it's made on the premise. Directly from the owner told to go elsewhere to eat my baguette I was hoping to get a coffee but put off by the confronted attitude as soon as i sat down.

Awesome customer service! Have started going here recently since we've started working in central square and the service provided by Tim has been outstanding :) I also had the best almond milk cappuccino here! Will definitely be back

One of the best places to eat in Cardiff... no Wales! Great food, lovely staff, and a multifaceted environment to suit a working lunch or a get away from the world. 10/10 oh and try the Gnocchi!

Nothing wow. I'm sure the breakfast was cooked early in the morning and was just heated up. It was pretty tasteless. Coffee was too hot, milk was burnt. 2 star for the service, the staff were nice.

All the Milk & Sugar cafes are so well run and the staff can't accommodate you enough. The owner, Tim is very good and offers so much friendliness and help when I come in with my baby, offering different foods she might like. The Milk & Sugar in the Hayes is excellent to bring my baby to as there's toys for her to play with and it's a lovely big cafe in a nice building. The food is also always delicious.

👍👍 Great Jamaican food, we had a great time! I highly recommend the bottomless brunch, our waitress, Lucy, was very attentive and we had a great chat about nights out in Cardiff! The bar staff's cocktails were beautiful, too!
