PRINCIPALITY STADIUM TOUR COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! So, I couldn’t catch a game because Rugby season is over, but on my latest trip to Cardiff – I ended up doing the tour at the Principality Stadium (aka the Millennium Stadium). It definitely comes recommended. The guy we got (Hugh) was very interesting and very well spoken for a Welshman (educated at Rugby School). It was really interesting from start to finish, and you got to see all the parts of the stadium you could possibly want. From the very highest seats, to pitch-side. To the changing rooms, tunnel and royal box. There’s lots of interesting memorabilia around too! If you wear an England shirt like I did – you get a bit of light-hearted ribbing but it’s all good fun. Overall, for £16.50 – it’s definitely worth the money, as it lasts about 90 minutes. Would love to catch the next Six Nations match here, probably against England.

One of the best stadiums in the UK. Entry into the venue was quick and easy, even with thorough security checks. The only issue I had on the date of my visit was that the concessions stands around block U17-U22 had all run out of food within an hour or two of opening. The event ran from 1500-2200. I would recommend a visit here, especially during a Welsh Rugby game as the atmosphere is hard to match. The national anthem is definitely worth witnessing in person.

Attended the Wales v Scotland game. Fantastic venue and have had a great view at every seat... front a few rows from pitch to last row at the top. Atmosphere is fantastic every time. 👌

Going to this Stadium with a sold-out crowd is an amazing experience that I'll never forget. Brilliant day out. I've been for rugby international, and Motorcross and monster trucks.

Such an iconic stadium, right in the middle of Cardiff City. Excellent atmosphere, and completely filled to capacity of almost 75,000 the day we were there - Ireland v Wales for the first round of the 2023 6 Nations Rugby. The roof was closed, which made it an almost surreal experience - such a big place, but felt like a much smaller venue - view was perfect, which I expect everyone in the stadium would say. Easy to get into & out of stadium, with plenty of access to food & drink locations.

A superb venue! Very friendly and welcoming. Watched Wales v BaaBaa's, the members bar was great as were the other bars, merchandise stalls were good value. The seats are comfortable with plenty of room. We were lucky enough to meet Cory Hills ... all in all a superb day out! Cant wait to return.

Having most recently visited to see Ed Sheeran .. a great place to visit with good access clearly laid out - never felt overcrowded or overwhelmed on entry or exit ... despite it being full for the concert. Staff were all friendly and helpful, good toilet facilities and a good choice of food and snacks available ... priced as you would expect from a venue of this size, but not extortionate!! Leg room in our seats was good for a big stadium, and the atmosphere when full was totally worth it. Would see other artists here or come back for rugby!! Located in the very centre of Cardiff it is an amazing venue in our experience 😀

Had a brilliant time at the Speedway. All the staff were really helpful and lovely to deal with. Water fountains inside - no bottles allowed in, had to leave plastic bottles at security, but was asked to take my refillable bottle in, but had to empty. Card payment at the bar.

Great stadium for a gig! It's so big it's easy to move around without getting squished. The staff were all very friendly and the place seemed pretty clean. Would love to go on a rugby match day, I've heard the atmosphere is immense!

Watched South Africa Vs Wales on 6th of November. Walking to the stadium is great for the build up. Everyone is singing and friendly. The stadium itself is amazing and the atmosphere and acoustics are amazing.

For a fairly modern stadium there isn't a great amount of leg room if you are tall, but well worth a visit. View was excellent for the Wales v England rugby match from our seats that were on the second row of the second tier right behind the posts. The match was played with the roof closed due to the bad weather.Within easy walking distance of Cardiff Central train station and is in the center of Cardiff very close to shops ,bars and restaurants etc.

Excellent day out watching Wales V South Africa. There is an abundance of parking available nearby but it isn't cheap as its located in Cardiff City centre. We took 3 kids with us and they loved it. The prices in the stadium are extortionate but that's what we have all come to expect at international arenas. The queues were well organised and we didn't have to wait very long to get in or out of the stadium. The atmosphere was great.

I went here for the Harry Styles concert as a wheelchair user + carer. The accessibility team was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. The viewing platform for wheelchair users is okay as long as everyone stays seated. But your view is very restricted as soon as everyone around the platform stands up, I was fine as I have an electric wheelchair which is able to raise the seat but a girl next to me in a manual wheelchair couldn't see much.. Other than that, it's a great accessible stadium full of lovely people working there.

Truly an amazing stadium with an amazing atmosphere. Everything is so easily accessible, and everything is catered for. Cardiff City center is fab to wander around before and after any event.

This has to be the best stadium to watch live rugby! Excellent atmosphere. Staff were fantastic and crowd control seems effortless, but having said that, rugby fans are an easy fun loving bunch.

We went to watch the the Wales vs South Africa game at the Principality stadium and it was an amazing experience. Well organised entry and most people were generally well behaved. Will definitely go again.

Amazing Stadium, Covid Guidance in Place, Stewards & Security was excessive and some of their attitudes were unprofessional (7 different stewards before I was at my seat) spoilt my experience, some Stewards were helpful in places but some appeared to be on a power trip.

The national stadium of Wales which is worth visiting. The great acoustics and the field of observation from each part of the stands are pure viewing pleasure. The second largest in the world with a lockable roof behind the Cowboys Stadium.

Been to five Wales rugby matches and the atmosphere has always been brilliant. Went on the stadium tour recently, which I found to be value for money, but would have even better without covid restrictions, as the inside areas where out of bounds

  • 4/5 kevin s. 8 months ago on Google
Great stadium externally but inside its very dated in the main public areas. The seats are small by any standard and walkways between rows are very narrow. As for the match, both England and Wales were poor but the Welsh were the better side in 2nd half and deserved winners. Overall a great day out and Josh Navidi's DJ set was wicked 😎

Really good tour from informative guide. Strange being the only people in the stadium though which added to the experience

I went to watch the Rugby , WALES V's ENGLAND . The roof was closed. But the atmosphere was through the Roof. I Love going to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff . Its a great place to take family or go with ur friends. Everything available - food , soft drinks & alcohol , and of course toilets. You will definitely enjoy your day out at the Stadium . If its sports or music , Rugby or Concerts. . ....YOU WILL ENJOY .

The Millennium Stadium is an epic and great venue for sports and music events alike! I was proud to come here for a Six Nations game, the atmosphere was electrifying! There are plenty of facilities located here, all of which are clean.

The Principality Stadium, located in Cardiff, Wales, is a prominent sports and event venue. Formerly known as the Millennium Stadium, it has a retractable roof and is the national stadium of Wales. The stadium primarily hosts rugby union and football matches, as well as concerts and other events. With a seating capacity of over 70,000, it is one of the largest stadiums in the UK. The Principality Stadium has been the venue for significant sporting events, including Six Nations rugby matches and FA Cup finals.

Our first time at Principality and I can honestly say it was probably the best stadium experience I've ever had. The fact that we live within walking distance is the first plus, but mostly the organization of it all. We were given a gate number and stairwell number which lead directly to the section our seat were located. And that's just the stadium! Our seats for the Rugby match (although pretty high up) were perfect, had a great vantage point, the atmosphere was fabulous, loved every minute.

Great venue for a corporate event or conference. Excellent catering. AV facilities great, our hybrid conference went really well. All the staff were professional friendly and super helpful. Would definitely look forward to being invited to a event here again

Huge sporting/concert venue. Right in the heart of Cardiff so easy to access via the train. Lots of gates with experienced teams of people to check tickets, check bags etc. Very easy to access the upper level seats as long as you can climb a lot of steps. Great view. Huge bar with reasonably quick service. A modest range of food and drink but everything you would expect. Huge number of toilets as you would expect for a venue where 70000 people go to the loo at half time! Even then there are queues if you’re a woman at a Beyoncé concert where 90% of the crowd is female!

Had a fabulous time at Harry Styles this week. Brilliantly organised, safe and a fantastic overall experience. Water refills were plentiful in the stadium but I was disappointed that the bar was hard to find during the concert. Who needs booze when you’ve got Harry styles though?!

  • 5/5 Karen S. 9 months ago on Google
Harry styles, was fab fab fab, stadium was fab, staff should be paid loads the man at the turnstile was so lovely friendly got us through no hassle, everything was clean can’t wait to go back and see some rugby

Well appointed stadium with good sight lines for both sport and other events. Helpful stewards. Beer and food not cheap but plenty of ɓars and restaurants nearby. Entrances 3 and 7 are in slightly different directions when approaching from town centre but you don't find out until you get there - needs better signage in the street. Cardiff Central rail station less than 10 minutes walk.

  • 5/5 Serena E. 9 months ago on Google
Fantastic concert- staff ensured everyone’s safety and were thorough with checks. Lots of paramedic staff around to help people. My only complaint would be that the roof was kept on during the event and it was absolutely boiling hot.

We Went to go see Coldplay and our seats were incredible. We didn't have to queue at all and the stewards and security were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was amazing and the sound was great. We had the best experience ever. Totally recommend this venue.

Great to be back watching rugby. Well organised and excellent that Covid passes & vaccinations were checked. Personally I would have still liked mask wearing when seated.

Best stadium in the world. The atmosphere here when the rugby is on, is out of this world. Roof closed, fans singing the anthem. Nothing beats it!

I love it, I went the first time last October to see Wales v New Zealand for the autumn Internationals and it was amazing! Easy access, great staff, well designed, etc, We went again a week ago to see Ed Sheeran in the standing area and it was amazing too! I guess there could be more toilets for ladies but that's an issue everywhere!

Went to see Stereophonics and Tom Jones. The gig was incredible. This review is about the venue. Well staffed, good ticketing system and security. Got in very quick and efficient. All the bars were open allowing more choice of where to get a drink. The burger van was good and quick. Lots of stewards wandering around. At the end of the gig able to get out of the stadium quickly. This is a bonus. Would definitely come to another gig here.

Great day out watching the rugby, good view and atmosphere. Wrap up warm if you're going in the winter as it's very cold. Moving to card only payments for food and drink which was a bit annoying but works out better in some cases.

  • 5/5 Liam P. 1 year ago on Google
Brilliant stadium with lots to offer. Great for sporting events and music gigs. Was last there for a gig which was brilliant and will be hard to top. Easy entry though slow exit, drinks were reasonable in regards to pricing and all’s Rinks came with a cover which I thought was really good.

One of the most incredible stadium experiences I've had. Went to see the Springboks take on the Welsh and all I can say is the Welsh create an incredible atmosphere. Loved every bit of it

Even if you can only ever manage to go for one Wales rugby match then do it. It's an amazing atmosphere and experience. 74,000 there with the patriotic Welsh singing their fantastic anthem and folk songs. Simply unforgettable.

  • 5/5 Jim B. 2 years ago on Google
They have a new phone based ticketing system, and are performing COVID-19 checks (as of October 2021) before you get into the stadium. They stagger entry times because of this. This said, this was surprisingly painless, despite what they warned. More generally, there are good views of the playing area, wherever you are in the stadium, the spectators are invariably friendly, and the atmosphere can be great, especially when either Wales are winning, the roof is closed, or both.
