1st time in Motorpoint. Went to see The Script. Great Night. The Motorpoint is easy to get to. Plenty of hotels and car parks near by. The arena has a capacity of 5000. It has wrap around balconies. It has a good size stage so easy to see artists. Didn't try the early opening bars but a pint was £6.20. If you want a few drinks before hand go to the Traders Tavern just beside the arena. When we got there we went in and even though bar was full they were playing Script songs and the prices were very reasonable. A great way to get placefor a gig. I think that they might play the music of the artist playing the arena that night so getting you ready for the show. The seating plan for the Motorpoint is very miss leading. I thought I'd bought balcony seats but the seating was at the back of the standing area. Block 6 and 7. So if buying in those areas buy seats at the back.

Great little Arena. Went there to see Gabrielle. Friendly staff, comfortable seating and easy yo get round. Multi story carparking 100 yards away and right near a shopping centre with lots of places to eat & drink. Going to see Paloma Faith there next.

Good show tonight, Mrs Brown's Boy's. The biggest issue is the price of drink and snacks. The small tin of Pringles is £3, small bottle of water £2. Great venue but not a cheap night out.

This was my 1st indoor event since pre covid. No covid checks at the event which surprised me. Locations for the bars where a bit confusing as it was unclear if the queue was for the bar or the toilets.

Went to see Crowded House on Monday 13 June 2022. Capacity is 5000 but it is really well organised and easy to get into and find your seat. It also empties after the show really quickly and efficiently. All in all it was a great experience.

Went to see James Arthur and it was incredible! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The arena was clean, the drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was electric.

Some slight buzz from the speakers around the middle of the arena which causes some reverb and lowers sound quality is the only reason I've docked a star. Otherwise this is a really good venue, friendly staff, good atmosphere, bar prices aren't as insane as some other large arenas and service is fast. Well located and lines on entry clear quickly.

i’ve visited this arena multiple times in the past but recently i went to the louis tomlinson show and was disappointed at the staff management. we queued since 4pm and the staff were constantly forcing us to squish together making the queue just one big clump of people. not only did this make it extremely unfair for people who had been queuing for a long time but it was also extremely frustrating when the doors opened as hundreds of people pushed forward making is impossible to get in. the staff did nothing to help. this was shocking as a few years ago i saw 5SOS live and the line was extremely organised! the distribution of water and care inside the actual venue was decent however.

Went to watch the Strongman Open. Great venue, well lit. Brilliant array of drinks (especially compared to some other venues we've been to recently), and the food is delicious. Would definitely recommend coming here if there's an event that takes your fancy.

Brilliant evening out at the Utilita Arena to watch Noel Gallagher last night with my husband. We had a delicious three course meal in L2 beforehand, with great options for vegetarians. The stewards were really helpful when trying to find our seats, in particular Allan and Caroline were a great help. And the staff in the box office were fantastic, truly the best in the business! Brilliant view from the balcony and really enjoyed the show. I’ll be coming here again!

Amazing service from the staff. Prices are to be expected but worth it to sit back at a comedy event with a drink or 3 🤣. Balcony seats where much better than I thought but the seats were a tight squeeze then again that could of been the very ignorant person next to me that couldnt take a hint of 1 chair per person. Security were pleasant and helpful.

Seen The Wombats here, brilliant venue for live music, big enough to create a great atmosphere but still intimate with mostly standing rather than seating. Easy access to bars, staff were helpful and fun

Have attended numerous concerts here. Easy parking. Fast entry/exit. Polite staff. Downside the queue for the ladies is always crazy. Not a massive venue so seats are pretty good anywhere.

Went to see Nothing But Thieves Oct 21. Great venue, easy to get in with right Covid info. Staff friendly and helpful. Gig was amazing! However…bar prices are crazy!! £18 for 2 small G&Ts!! Cheap gin and cheap mixers too! Complete rip off! Venue would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for this.

We went to see Peter Pan we turned up a bit early and being I have a tracheostomy the high winds made it difficult for me to breath but the staff in the box office were very kind and helpful and let us sit inside then I had a book I wanted signed for my wife as she loves boy George. Sam one of the management was absolutely brilliant she went of her way and done everything she could to help me out . Our night was absolutely perfect thanks to all the staff certainly 100% to do everything they could to assist our needs .

Been to 2 heavy music events here. The staff have been so helpful and friendly on both occasions. Such an impressive and professional security team as well compared to some other venues. Definetly choose this venue over some others.

Enjoyed A Question Of Sport but felt to close to other people in the audience who were not required to wear masks. Queues to get in were ridiculously long. People missed very start of show. As we were sat on the level part of the arena towards the back the view was poor as continually trying to look around people's heads and feeling concerned about the people behind.

Had balcony seats for McFly and loved every second! No queuing for toilets or the bar. Took my 9 year old son and he had a great view, loved every second. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Little unorganised as it was first time of re opening after covid rules. The slush wasn't slushie but service was great. No queue at the ladies but the gents had to wait

The venue, sound and general experience was very good. The loss of star is due to the queing and door staff. Shockingly done. They didn't have a clue

Great experience and very well organised. The queue was long but moved quickly. Bag was checked and needed a paper copy of covid status. Didn't need to wear mask if you didn't want to. Great view of the stage, but very loud were we sat. Can't have everything though. Would go again, nice small venue.

Went here for Elvis, was a great show, not sure if this photographer works for the arena or the act themselves but no consideration was shown in blocking peoples views. We sat to the side where the people around us stayed sat down but be prepared to get up to see anything if you're in the centre for an act like this, could see many people having their views blocked by drunk people getting up and dancing which security should do something about if the majority are sat down.

What a great venue, never been before but will definitely go again. Well organised and spacious. Loved having a bar inside so you could still hear the music while waiting for drinks. Very enjoyable evening.

Fantastic stadium for any and every event👌🏻 won't find a better placed 🏟️ anywhere ☝🏻 the atmosphere & sound created inside the ground is amazing with or without roof open or closed!

Confusing queuing process but staff were generally lovely anyway. I didn't get alcohol but a few friends did and the prices were absolutely extortionate... I'll stick to my draft Pepsi Max.

Watched Peter Kaye here recently. The queues were well managed in all aspects, such as entering and for drinks. All areas were staffed well, and wait times were minimal. Good selection of drinks and food was available but we did not try. We really enjoyed our experience and would return!

Came here the other night to watch Peter Kay and had a good experience. The seats had an excellent view, and from looking around I can imagine that there are very few seats that wouldn't have had a great view of the stage. The seats were comfortable for the show, although maybe would have enjoyed a little more leg room. There are plenty of bathrooms located around the floors, and there are a number of bars and sitting areas to visit before the show and during the interval. Staff were friendly too! Only downside was that you can't bring large bags or food/drink into the arena, but I understand this policy.

Only two star 🌟 🌟 as all the centre seats are so crammed in ridiculously close I missed most of the show because when anyone had to move out for any reason, the whole row had to stand up, this blocks the view and spoils the show. The staff are fantastic and the parking is good. I personally will never use this venue again.

Lovely arena, small enough to be intimate, but big enough to attract some of the greats. I just saw The Pet Shop Boys there, brilliant night out!!

First gig since January 2020.Couldnt have picked a better one than Fat Boy Slim.Felt 100% safe in the arena, and all staff working hard to keep everything flowing

I think the Motorpoint is great! I've always had a good experience when visting. City centre location, parking close by and because the venue isn't huge you can actually see the artists properly and not through a screen. I hope the Motorpoint stays open after the new Cardiff Arena opens as I'm sure there's room for both in the city.

I went to see London Grammar and it all went pretty smoothly but I have read that people queued for ages. We did leave it until after the support act finished though. Covid pass checks were minimal but it would be impossible to check every one.
