Great experience but certainly not cheap. It was like a Disney park with music using light shows worth a visit suitable for all walking abilities pretty much flat no steps accessible if you have walking difficulties. Some food stalls Yorkshire pudding wrap for £8 !!! Got a bit crowded at the end where everyone stops to take a few pictures

Bute Park is one of the most popular attractions in Cardiff city! It’s a more than a mile long park with a lake flowing though, walkways and bridges, trees, birds and much more! Taking a stroll at Bute Park is one of the most suggested things to do in Cardiff. It would take about an hour or more to cover the entire stretch. There are play grounds and other open areas which normally witnesses a variety of social activities and celebrations. The whole area is well maintained and safe. There’s the map of the park in the entrance, and signboards at various places to guide the visitors. Bute Park is very accessible as well - it’s situated in the heart of the city, adjacent to the venerable Cardiff Castle. There’s no entry fee, but other services could be paid - although no other services would be required normally for spending a good hour or two there! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ accessibility ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ value for money

We visited Bute Park on a quick road trip to Cardiff. It’s now in my top 3 favorite parks. Massive trees, beautiful gardens, and you can rent bikes. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful park located at the heart of Cardiff city centre. Free to public. Wide open spaces with plenty of outdoor gym facilities, wide paths for both cycling snd running. Lovely lush green trees and flower gardens. Water features throughout the park. Visitors centre nearby.

Bute Park is a great public space in a vibrant and wonderful city, at any time of year but I thoroughly recommend going to see the lights they put on there in the winter. They are always magical, it’s a good walk, value for money and so much to see. It’s really wonderful. Went again this year, and was not disappointed.

Wonderful to have such a lovely, lush green area in the town centre! Really nice park to visit, we took the water bus from Cardiff Bay which dropped us off at the park, it was great the only downside was there is a lot of litter in the water which is quite unpleasant and bad for the wildlife but the area was really pleasant.

Wow what a beautiful park to be found in the centre of a city. We came to Cardiff expecting to walk around the town and admire the architecture but not only that we got to experience a fantastic park well maintained and clean with a lovely vibe. We got very lucky with the weather so we're able to sit on a blanket on the grass eating ice-cream and drinking tea.

Beautifully kept gardens surrounding Cardiff Castle. came here for a wander whilst my partner went for her health check. Helps when it's good weather but the scenery is wonderful and offers plenty of space for a walk or to spend time with the family or walk the doggo.

An oasis of calm and tranquility, loads of space a great coffee shop in the centre and opposite the millennium stadium entrance. Not convinced I’d be 100% confident walking through there late at night, but a lovely and well maintained city park. 👍

Christmas at Bute Park. If you have not been before you need to go. A superb experience bringing all the festivities of Christmas together with a fantastic light experience. Clean, tidy, enjoyable day / night out. Family orientated, dogs welcome. It’s a great time and one of Cardiffs treasures. If you were thinking of winter wonderland give it a miss and go here instead you will not be disappointed

The Christmas Light show looks amazing. We walked round as 7 family members and a basset hound. We all got a little muddy, but not too bad. If you take part in the drinks stalls as you walk round, and the food stalls at the end, it's not a cheap night out, but the sights and atmosphere really make it a worthwhile experience.

Great two hours in the beautiful park. No wonder it's called Bute!! The Dinosaurs in the Park exhibition was great fun for children of all ages, our 15 and 21 year old grand daughters loved it as did my wife and I, eternally young. Food stalls were not cheap but reasonable priced and what we ate we enjoyed. Noodles for some Pork rolls for others.

Walked along the Taff for an autumn stroll and was blown away by the beauty of natural surroundings and city centre stood side by side. Carried on through Bute park too. Love this city, so.much more to explore.

While staying in Cardiff for a couple of months I spent a lot of time exploring the city. I always loved walking through Bute Park especially in the warm summer evenings. The park is stunning and well maintained. The river running through the middle of it adds to its scenic beauty.

A huge sprawling city park at the heart of Cardiff. Named after The Third Marquis of Bute, a man whose family developed most of the Cardiff we know today. The main features of this park are the huge grassy areas which are perfect for picnics, sports, dog walking or just relaxing. Another joy feature is the wide range of different trees here from Evergreen to those that change with the season. Many of them blossom with fruits and berries. It's a large park so if you want to see it all you should allow a couple of hours and it's quite easy to get lost so mind your direction The park connects downtown Cardiff with Llandaff Cathedral and is a glorious walk

A beautiful park to explore right in the heart of the city. A couple of lovely coffee shops with limited seating indoors but plenty outdoors on dry days. Paths to follow all level ground & good for cycling too. WC's can be found in one of the coffee shops.

It is a large park near the castle whose walls are called animal walls since the walls have statues of animals. The park has big and had green and lush trees of which some are quite big and old. There are boat services starting from the park. It provides a view of the castle as well.

Amazing green space easily accessible to the public. Saw my first wild hedgehog here and I loved the park overall. Good escape from the city centre.

Very lovely park right behind Cardiff castle. Many types of trees and flowers. Lots of entrance/exit from different sides of the park making it accessible. Lots of space to do sport, walk, run, picnic, BBQ.

We went for the Christmas Lights walk. It was great. Loses one star for the high entry and concessions cost, but the walk itself was very enjoyable. Don't wake the dragon!

We visited Bute park on the 22nd Dec 2023 to see the Christmas lights. We had a lovely time the lights were beautiful.

Bute park lights, may be expensive but the little ones loved it. Less interactive than last year but still plenty to ooh and ah about. During the day the park is a great thoroughfare to and from the city, with some lovely hidden cafes to tempt you for a coffee and cake

Went to the Christmas light trail, 23rd December 2023. Good improvement on the previous year (except it was still raining!). Good matting on the ground so not boggy like before, and a better trail length and route. Food area good, quite a big undercover area so no soggy dinner!

Saw the Jurassic Encounter here with my family. What a fabulous day out. The park was well kept too!

Not a bad show but very expensive for what it was at over £23 entry fee. No one was buying food as nothing was available for under £10. A slice of tasteless pizza was £10. Tea, coffee, chocolate £5. Have no idea how a family of 4 could afford it

This is a stunningly beautiful park nestled in Cardiff city centre, the journey is akin to entering a different dimension like the world of Narnia, therapeutically otherworldly. During my three years of studies in Cardiff, I spent my weekends running the course here in preparation for marathons, also picnicking with colleagues. Lots of fond memories here.

We had a lovely time visiting the winter light festival. There were plenty of places to eat and drink, and the toilets were ok considering the use they were getting. The paths were flat and easy to walk along. Everyone young and old seemed to enjoy themselves. For a 1st time visit we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 🎄👍

I Love to be here in the morning and for evening walks. Clam, peaceful and green. People who are interested can also attend parkrun every Saturday at 9 in the morning.

Dinosaur in the park, more for under 8 years old. Take a picnic and lots of drinks. The food vans are expensive (£5 for a hot chocolate, when you can go to krispykreme and get a milkshake and doughnut for £5:25). The fun fair rides are £3-£5. The Dinosaur are cool, and the walk around to find them is good. There are some really big carnivore dinosaurs that are really amazing. Enjoyable time with the bouncy castle and golf in the price of the tickets. The park itself is a nice place to walk and picnic! Some play areas and lots of benches to rest on. There are a few cafe places spread out around the area. You can walk to and from the town shopping centre.

Very busy at the weekends but still one of the best parks in Cardiff. Very pretty, lovely cafés, lots of benches to sit down and relax, a few areas for kids to play. Always something interesting happens here! Short walk from the city centre. Water taxi with easy access to Cardiff Bay operates daily.

With its convenient location near the city center and ample parking options, Bute Park is the ideal spot to spend a lazy afternoon or an active day out. Overall highly recommend Bute Park as a must-visit attraction in Cardiff, whether you're a local or just passing

The park is wonderful, sprawling, and with a lovely selection of trees and flowering plants, and 3 good cafes (just about) within its grounds. It could do with more public toilets though

Great city park. Green, plenty of places to visit, cafes and ice cream. The river one side and a canal, with a walk along side on the other. Boat trips down the river to Cardiff Bay. Reasonably priced.

I loved coming here for the Christmas at Bute Park festival. The lights installations were mesmerising and simply stunning. It'll really set you off to a great Christmas spirit. It's something nice to look forward to every year.

Beautiful green space with good selection of trees. The Taff trail can be found running through the park. Many excellent places to have food and drinks. The Secret Garden is my favourite.

Went for a lovely long walk with the wife. Weather nice for the time of year. Lots to see/look at, lots of paths to explore. Plenty of sign posts around, plenty of points of interest to visit. Will have to come back with family & friends in the summer!

The Park is absolutely stunning 😍 On many occasions, I've fed the local Squirrels and even got them eating out of my hands. The lights they have up currently are beyond stunning (Christmas At Bute Park)

Christmas at Bute Park was great. Kids enjoyed the lights. Bit too busy around the food stalls which needed to be spread out a bit especially in this day and age!
