A
nice
park
with
lots
of
green
space
and
trees.
There’s
a
nice
avenue
of
trees
to
walk
under
and
in
the
springtime
there’s
blossoms
on
the
trees
on
the
Penhill
Road
side
of
the
park.
The
playground
here
is
excellent,
one
of
the
best
playgrounds
in
Cardiff.
Also
a
cafe
at
the
south
of
the
park,
Cafe
Castan.
All
of
the
pathways
are
paved,
with
fairly
wide
paths,
which
is
helpful
for
different
park
users
sharing
the
space.
The
paths
are
mostly
level,
with
one
uphill
section
to
the
northwest
in
the
park
which
leads
out
onto
Cardiff
Road
(not
excessively
steep,
but
still
uphill).
Lots
of
benches
around
the
park.
Llandaf
Fields
is
south
of
Llandaf
Cathedral
and
its
a
short
walk
away,
if
you
cross
Western
Avenue.
It’s
also
next
to
Pontcanna
Fields.
It’s
a
nice
walk
into
town
through
Llandaf
Fields,
Pontcanna
Fields
and
then
Bute
Park.
There’s
parking
in
the
Turnpike
Head
car
park
(that’s
only
a
small
car
park
and
tends
to
be
busy),
there’s
more
parking
if
you
turn
right
by
Cafe
Castan.
If
those
are
full,
there’s
another
car
park
down
Fields
Park
Road.
There’s
also
a
bus
stop
outside
on
Penhill
Road,
which
serves
some
of
the
routes
into
town.
