One of the cleanest beaches I've been to on a while, life guards are spot on and always patrolling. Relaxing to walk the entire beach with or without kids or pets. Surfing classes are really interesting to watch publicly.

It's the best beach. Something for everyone....you want a long walk on sand from busy crowded areas with families enjoying the sun down to stunningly beautiful almost empty parts where the scenery and landscape is so serene....plenty of restaurants and cafes along the promenade too serving Italian classics to fish and chips...a lovely free Aqua splash play are for young kids. Playgrounds, outdoor gym and of course three miles of sea front and the sea is lovely, a legendary surf beach. πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ pubs also...I think all in all there is about 800 car parking spaces....plenty of pay and display and nearby free parking.

A beautiful beach. Even though you are so close to the industrial site and sewage plant, you do not smell or see anything linked to them. Truly captures the saying a "diamond in the rough". It is also a great beach it seems for surfers and dogs. Either end of the beach are dog beaches when they are not allowed on the main beach during the summer period. The main beach itself, on a nice day is always packed with surfers and trust me, I have seen some massive waves down there as I live so close I go down nearly every day/evening to walk the dog. I will say, Port Talbot itself is not the best but it is definitely becoming a nicer place to be with all the work they are doing down here.

Great beach, easiest to get it for us driving from Newport (Barry and porthcawl roads are frequently busy) the beachfront itself is usually busy but if you walk further down into the dunes it’s very often quiet. The steelworks are next door but as the old saying goes β€˜it’s better to be sitting in aberavon looking at the mumbles than sitting in the mumbles looking at aberavon!’

Nice to see the bridges from a different perspective. The calmness of the water hides the power the water in this estuary unleashes. The path is paved and even, perfect for people with mobility difficulties.

This beach is lovely. Very very clean, no dogs allowed over the summer on the main beach but there is a big beach to right where they can go. There is a good crazy golf, plenty of food places, ice cream a kids water park and the carpark is Β£2 per day if you don't find a free spot on the road. Life guards patrolling all the time in the summer. Loads of little hermit crabs being washed up on the beach and then burrowing into the sand. Nice flat smooth promenade for skating or cycling or walking. A couple of restaurants, fish and chips and an ice cream shop make this a 9/10 as beaches go. Would have been 10 but the sand is hard as I guess the tide comes all the way in upto the edge.

Lovely dog friendly beach, parked along the beach, when tide is out can walk between both beaches. Very clean. Concrete hard standing to sit if you don't like the sand. Lots of shells

On a super-hot weekend it was buzzing with tourists eager to cool down. When the tide is low you get a very wide stretch of sand where you can go for a walk. You can even swim if you don’t mind the cold and murky water. No waves. Nothing spectacular to do or see there, but we were happy that it didn’t feel overcrowded with people and despite the COVID restrictions we were still able to find a table in any restaurant we’ve been to during our 3-day stay. Sunsets are indeed spectacular!

Popular with surfers etc. Excellent long promenade that's 1.6 miles long from the Dunes to the River, Great for skaters, scooters, bikes and pedestrians. Stunning sunsets. Not forgetting the Swimming Pool-Gym, Cinema and various eateries.

Dogs love it here, great place to go. Parking can be a nightmare at times but still well worth a visit. Beats porthcawl and Barry!!

Superb stretches of sandy beaches, never mind the steel works, if you turn to your right whilst facing the sea it could be mistaken for some exotic place. Great day out and loads for children to enjoy along the front.

Great beach, wide so there's always plenty of room to get setup. Lots of paddleboards etc down here. Car park across the road is only Β£2 for the day so cheap enough. Couple of places close by to eat although not the cheapest for the quality of the food.

Absolutely amazing beach. Not very crowded. You can walk here when the tides are low. Can play beach football and build sand castle and even fishing. Parking nearby from MiPermit or pay and display.

I usually visit here on the bike when out and about and fancy a latte or a bite to eat. This time there were two of us, and we actually had a proper meal too.

Amazing beach clean lot of bins to put rubbish along the sea front toilet facilities outside shower area, lots to do for all, life guards patrolling the bench area during the evening on our visit. Relaxing to walk the entire beach, lots of families having fun and people swimming.

Fantastic place for the kids the beach is amazing. Tue fish shop there is average to say the least and the prices are an absolute rip off. And I mean disgusting prices. Can if pop Β£1.50. I'm all for making a profit but that's disgusting. And the food is nothing special. Greasy and the staff are rude.

Lovely, large, clear, clean beach. When the tide is out there is so much space that even when it is busy it doesn't feel crowded if you enjoy the space. A lovely mixture of sand and rocks to climb on as well as an area for rock pooling. On the promenade there are two playgrounds for different ages, with fun climbing equipment. There are a couple of places to get food and an ice-cream parlour, as well as a skate park, crazy gold and splash pad. This beach is one of mine and my 7yr olds favourite places.

Fantastic long walk from Purcell avenue down to the mouth of the river. Perfect for metal detectors, dog walking and paddle boarding at the rivers mouth at low tide.

A wonderful beach for promenade walk or sandy visit. There are several places to park with a small car park off scarlet avenue, parking on road and then a bigger pay and display across the midpoint of Cage Remos, the smaller pay and display is towards the top end of the beach. There's a free waterpark for kids along the promenade as well as the whale and pirate themed parks. If you like a walk then the top end of the beach (where it meets River Neath which gives a great view of boats coming out of Monkton Marina and going out to sea) is connected by a trip over the dunes to pick up the Coastal Path through Baglan Industrial Park.
