Had a great time at my friends wedding yesterday, absolutely stunning and picturesque venue, staff were very attentive, food was of a brilliant quality too. The Vale Resort where we were staying ran frequent buses to take us too and from the venue too. Would highly recommend for a wedding venue.

Amazing location and such a fantastic experience making and distilling your own Gin with help and guidance from the tour guides and distillers. Pete & Andrew were fab.

Attended a traditional afternoon tea today and the only good think I liked was the view. The sandwiches were stale as bread was hard, the waitress staff were friendly but were in a rush to have us in and out. Our booking was at one and come around 2.15 they asked us to finish up as they has another party same size our ours coming in and need to prep the table. For the price you pay and what you get is not worth the price I have seen nicer and tastier afternoon teas for a lot less. Guess your just paying for the view.

Absolutely stunning!! We held our daughters wedding here 6th August, the venue, grounds and of course the hard working, discreet and professional staff turned our day into a truly amazing and memorable wedding celebration. The food was excellent and the rooms are beautiful should you wish to stay. Everyone was well looked after and I cannot thank the management and staff for all their help, they were supportive at the planning stage right through to the end of a magical wedding day.

Thank you so much to the team at Hensol Castle for making our wedding the best day possible! Our wedding coordinator was absolutely fantastic and helped us plan every detail of the day and answered our many questions leading up to the day. The venue staff on the day were brilliant and everything was taken care of, including some on the day requests, so we didn't need to worry about a thing! It all went so smoothly and our guests had a wonderful time. The food and catering was also fantastic and we got lots of lovely compliments on it. The bedrooms are also an added bonus and are beautiful. The grounds are stunning and the castle itself is such a beautiful building. We would definitely recommend Hensol Castle to anyone looking for a beautiful venue in South Wales! Thank you so much to everyone at Hensol!

Went to a wedding beginning of December. The first couple of rooms we went in were Very cold .only room that was warm was where we had the meal and that was running behind. Some members of our party had to wait till mid evening to get there rooms. I heard one couple had to go to another hotel .the room was very nice but cold for the first hour.

Beautiful venue for a Wedding. Gin tasting experience in the cellar was great. Cool vibe and nice to try the local supplies. Lovely paths for walks around the Castle. Large bedrooms which are ideal for families. Plenty of parking. Very helpful reception/security staff. 5-10 minute walk to the Vale Resort which has a pool, restaurant, children's play area, golf etc. Negatives - dodgy scrambled egg in the am. Looked very dodgy and no one in the wedding party ate it. - no food there for rest of the day. Its worth noting that children would need to go to the Vale for food too which isn't ideal.

Yet another stunning wedding photographed at one of thee best wedding venues across South Wales. Always a pleasure to create stunning images for my bride and grooms at Hensol. So many amazing places to photograph on the grounds and inside this beautifully restored castle.

Enjoyed an afternoon tea with the family for our Nans 90th birthday. The castle is stunning and steeped in history. The tea menu is full of variety, a popular choice among the party was the chocolate brownie tea, which was delicious. The cakes and sandwiches were also excellent - and fresh, warm scones to top it off. The service was fantastic. All together a lovely experience for all ages, will definitely return again.

Absolutely stunning venue for the wedding we attended. Staff were pleasant and helpful, the venue was clean and well furnished and the food was excellent even when catering for such a large event. The grounds are fantastic and a sight to behold! Ample parking too. Would definitely recommend for a visit, and certainly for an event such as wedding or celebration.

Very elegant location and the tour guide was informative and enthusiastic. Husband enjoyed the gin tasting and I enjoyed the history of the castle. Only wish we could have seen more of the castle itself. Lovely way to spend an afternoon.

👍👍 We took the wine tasting/vineyard tour followed by lunch at the restaurant . There was a good range of dishes and they all have a recommended wine pairing. Really recommend the mango/coconut meringue dessert with a glass of Llanerch's Cariad Hâf (as long as you like things sweet!)
