Another excellent visit over the weekend. What really impresses me, is every time we visit there has been improvements - which is clear evidence of continual investment. You don't see that very often, many places just stay the same for years after the initial set-up The kids love it, it's varied, lots of open space, great food but places to eat your own. Well worth it. Can't wait for the next visit.

Great day out with children of all ages. Lots of open space to play and investigate. The Gruffalo trail is a great novelty for younger children. Plenty of parks, tree houses, zip lines, tree swings dotted about plus a giant bouncy pillow, fairy garden and a small maze. Ideal for dry days as all outdoors but we've gone when a bit wet and wore wellies and rain coats and had a great day! Some lovely animals to see to! There's a cafe there but we've always taken our own snacks/picnic. Note that the main play park is based in sand. Plenty of car parking to! πŸ‘πŸ»

Great place to visit with kids, but definitely only on a dry day. Lovely cafe, plenty to keep kids occupied outdoors in the fresh air, we took a 2 year old and 10 year old and both loved it.

The kids absolutely loved it! So much space to run around and be wild but plenty to keep them interested as you walk through! Beautiful scenery. Small stuffed toys ended up being expensive gifts at the end, especially with 3 kids - a shame they don't do things like fridge magnets and keyrings for the grown ups!

We had a lovely day here, lots of things for the kids to see and do. We went went with a mixed age range of kids 3 - 12 years. All seemed to find things to entertain them along the way, granted the 12 year old got a bit fed up in the parts for younger kids which is to be expected. The archery and bouncy pillows were a big hit! We had a cup of tea and cake when we got there which was tasty. We didn't eat here as had booked somewhere elsewhere for lunch with friends before we planned our trip here. However the pizzas looked very nice πŸ˜‹

Fab day out for the whole family, really well set up with some beautifully crafted tree houses, sculptures and other woodwork. The recommended 3 hrs is about spot on and means that the trip is great value at a couple of quid per hour. The sights and activities are well spread out with each one pretty much occupying one of the holes of the golf course that used to be there. Which means you have a good workout to build your appetite for one of the delicious pizzas they make back at base. As a final lovely touch I liked the courtesy email we received after our visit. When Churchill said golf was a good way to ruin a walk, perhaps he was hoping the fairways would be repurchased like this! πŸ‘

We had a fab day out here. Our just 3 year old had the best day. All the open space, the weather was perfect. Lots to explore, lots to keep busy. Seating all the way around and even toilets!! The gruffalo trail was a huge hit. Those big yellow pillows. Wow. Fab play park too!

Great fun, both my girls loved exploring along the trail, making sure they got each stamp along the way. Just a shame we couldn't stay longer because of the COVID restrictions. Lots to do and find, and a little snack place if you forget to bring enough food. Will go again when we have a chance.

Great place for primary school kids. The 2.5 hour time slot wasn't long enough! All outdoor fun for kids. They've added several things since last year.

What a place! Wish this was around when my kids were little. Took my 8 yr old niece and nephew. They loved it. We were there about 4 hours but you could easily spend the day there. Lot's of parking, close to entrance. Lot's of toilets; one right at the entrance, one by the play area and one in the cafe. There are also 3 portaloos as you go around. The cafe serves hot and cold drinks, cakes and pizza. Nothing else. The coffee is lovely. I really enjoyed the pizzas, but the kids weren't so bothered. The pizzas are Β£8, Β£9 & Β£10. They are made on site, you can watch them being made. There is a lot of walking, which is great. It's pushchair friendly. Because of how much walking there is if you're not sure whether you want/need to take a pushchair; take it! Better to push an empty pushchair than carry a toddler! The first half is wheelchair friendly (small stones/grass paths). Not sure about the woods onwards. I'm not a wheelchair user myself so wouldn't like to say. There are lots of picnic benches as you go around so a great place to take a picnic. Would really recommend it.

A great place for families with young children and older children. Plenty of space to walk and dogs are welcome too. We went during the Halloween event. The mountain view ranch was well decorated and all the staff were very engaged with the children. Looking forward to revisiting again in the future.

Fantastic place to take the kids to wear them out, with something to do and see around every corner. There's lots of adventures to be had and my children always thoroughly enjoy. Lots and lots of walking. Especially if you want to see everything. Lots of hills and uneven terrain but not impossible to lug around a pushchair, the place has signposts now so if you follow them it's impossible to miss anything they have to see! It's a tradition for us family to have pizza there and probably one of the only places I don't take a packed lunch because the kids love the stone baked fresh pizzas there and they are very reasonably priced. There's plenty of portaloos dotted around the place on the walk, but it would be really handy if the place set up a snack shack in the middle of the walk, so people can get more refreshments if needed. As at the moment if we needed anything to eat/drink we would have to head right back to the start of the trail which is quite a trek for families with small children especially. Of course I would recommend you bring your own stuff if needed, but it's the extra lugging around on top of the walk. Wellies are probably needed on a rainy day. Honestly if you haven't been here before you really need to go! It' wears both kids and adults out (think of the steps you will get in πŸ˜‰)

Lovely place to visit. You get given a map to stamp all the attractions off as you visit them and collect a sticker at the end. Although the place is mainly aimed at younger children, my older children enjoyed it too. The goats were a form favourite of all of ours! Plenty of picnic spots and benches. The highlight for my son was the huge jumping pillows, he loved them! The coffee shop sells nice coffee with a range of milks, but had long queues. The car park is free with plenty of spaces. We did have to book online to enter the place itself. So much there to look at we managed to stay the whole day! The only downfall was the toilets which were very unclean and smelly.

9-how good course and a joy to play. Booking is really easy on line and communication was great throughout. Initially I booked the incorrect day but it's so simple to edit your booking without charge

Found this place by accident. We were heading for a Forrest walk and took a wrong turn. We decided to go and have a look as my granddaughter was with us. This place was excellent. My granddaughter had a fab time exploring all the areas. Was a pleasant walk between the sections and she enjoyed stamping her card to say she’d found them. She’s likes the gruffalo and liked to see the characters in the different areas. The play areas were good too. The big bouncy cushions are great. Would recommend if you’re looking to keep young kids entertained for the day.

Excellent place for toddlers and young children for a bit of outdoor fun. Not push chair / buggy friendly a bit steep and gravel path doesn't help. Cafe do pizzas and small cakes as well as ice cream tea coffee. Bit of a waiting time for them. But you're better off bringing your own picnic with you which they welcome. Place is very clean.

Great place for the children to enjoy the outdoors. Gruffallo’s trail was enjoyed by everyone. I could see there is more to come as for the adventure playgrounds. It would have been nice to see concession price for the elderly and retired. In fact the adults and children had to pay the same price. Come to think of it the children are probably not allowed without an adult. More benches would also help those who bring their children and grandchildren.

Amazing place for both adults and children!! You need energy to take part in more challenging activities especially if you have a pushchair. Book early slots as you will need plenty of time to experience everything!!

Excellent day out! We spent 5 hours here and could've spent even longer but the park was closing. We took a buggy and at points it was a bit hilly but not unable to push the buggy. Gruffalo trail was brilliant, my three year old loved it. There is so much to do and picnic benches dotted all around. Different things to do and see. Food is a bit expensive so I would bring your own and there are some bins dotted around but not loads. Parking on site is really good too. Overall, will be going back here. Had a great day and good price.

Took our grandchildren today and they loved it! Following the Gruffalo Trail with their map and stamping the various areas; zip lines, bouncy pillows and rope swings, all a big hit. We were also impressed that there was seating and portaloos along the trail.

Loved this place. Big outdoor area which makes it easy to keep a safe distance from others. Really helps spark a child's imagination with all the characters from the Gruffilo story. Pizza was nice too. Going again soon. Book online prices very reasonable.
