We arrived with high hopes and when we got their was surprised. Wonderful animals, could go right and touch them (really hands on experience) from other reviews I noticed there was rides, when we got there NO RIDES. They had been sold to fund their animals due to covid. Most of the arcade games didn't work and the place needs some money put into it, very dilapidated. Most of the staff were clueless, running around doing nothing. Don't even bother bring your card, because if you get an ice cream they will have to run out and hold it to the sky to try and get it to go through. Watched a family try 5 times to try get the transaction to go through. Soft play should IS NOT ENCLOSED. VERY DANGEROUS children can ran out of there from multiple exits and the food should be moved to another location because there was no seating on a busy day and you can hear the staff calling numbers for food. Food was good and fresh and fair prices and ice cream was good but portion sizes weren't equal and wasn't consistent. Told by staff if we wanted to have a specific sandwich will we have to wait until 2 o'clock for an asda delivery. It was a shame that there wasn't more outdoor attractions. Great toilets and parking!

There were no rides running, no maps of the park to tell you where to go, hardly any seats in the soft play place, 2p machines werent running, the food and entry costs were very over priced( £4.50 for a thin burger in a dry bun), the shop had lots of second hand items which were used ( a coloured in colouring book and sticker book with no stickers for example), the fire exit was open right next to the soft play so you can't relax and let your kids play as they could get out without you knowing, the accident book went missing and there were no ice packs when my child had an accident ( we were given a frozen bottle of water). The ball bit was closed and just covered with a bit of tarp which could easily be moved ( most small children would not read the 'sorry closed' sign). Over all we were very disappointed.

Lovely to see the llamas run over to us for petting and food. We got 3 bags of food which seemed just about enough. First wallaby I've seen and added bonus to see a baby wallaby poking out of a pouch! Staff were lovely especially the lady in the gift shop. So friendly and really cares for the animals. Will visit again soon

What's a let down! Such potential exists at this attraction but it was seriously over priced for what was actually working. It's fundamentally a building site. All the rides were rusty and closed, even the zip line had been removed. What did exist? There's a little reptile house which was ok. Other than that you have goats, pigs, rabbits, llamas, and a few other petting animals. The whole place looked unfinished and was extremely poorly kept. The kiosk was ok, slightly pricey considering everything came out of the freezer and went in the frier, but it was ok... Saying that we did have to mention are chips weren't cooked, but they quickly made some much nicer cooked ones for us. The only thing the kids wanted to do was play on the trampolines, what a rip off Would I go again, no chance. Would I recommend it, no way. .

Had a fantastic day at the animal park regardless of the rainy weather. The staff were very knowledgeable on the species and their history and answered all of our questions. There were a good range of animals with decent enclosures and enrichment for them. Sadly, the park suffered financial issues during the pandemic and really need support from the public to provide for their animals (they are asking for donations to help build a bigger enclosure for George the raccoon). We got to interact with the animals and the staff allowed us to handle the rats, rabbits and walk the ferrets which were very cuddly! All in all a very enjoyable day 😊

Fun day out, and you can definitely make a day of it with an indoor soft play as well as all sorts of animals and an outside play area also, can entertain all sorts of children even if they're not animal lovers. Ticket prices have gone up understandably probably due to the pandemic, although I don't quite understand why the family ticket isn't discounted at all and is the same price as if you bought 2 adults and 2 children tickets. Staff very friendly and helpful, plenty of toilets and baby changing facilities.

Our second visit this year and again another pleasant enjoyable experience for our family. Made to feel welcome by staff and residents, and got to run off some steam in the play barn, crazy golf included. Plenty of animal interaction with experiences such as holding the guinea pigs, reptiles as well as animal feeding. We spent the whole day here and found it great value for money

Lovely day out for animal lovers! This animal park is perfect for anyone looking for somewhere to take the kids for the afternoon. Fantastic play barn, cafe, shop, and enclosures. You can handle the small animals and reptiles, and they even have a walk-through wallaby enclosure where you can feed and stroke them! Mostly outside so pack weather accordingly. Free parking and disability accessable.

A genuinely great day out. Coming on a week day, it was extremely quiet. Some people may think that's a great a thing (definitely would recommend a weekday for people who need it) it definitely helped for us. I can see how this place gets extremely busy at the weekend! Considering what is on offer, the admission prices are more than fair. (Soft play prices alone elsewhere match it, and that's only for an hour usually) whereas you have access to the entire park all day included. You can tell the staff genuinely care about what they do. The animals are all cared for and the park is kept clean and tidy. A large assortment of animals ranging from rabbits and reptiles, to goats, alpacas, white deer and black foxes, and many more. Our son enjoyed walking the ferrets. I read most of the previous reviews, and the only negatives seem to moan about the park being hit by Covid-19 and losing some of its rides. The indoor arcade/ride on entertainment wasnt on due to electrical issues, but considering just how much is on offer I think the animals welfare was definitely more important, and there is more than enough entertainment for the whole family. We arrived at 10.30am and didn't leave until 3pm, and that was only being cautious of the weather! (Even our 5 year old had somehow had enough of the soft play at that point 😂) To summarise, we would happily travel here again. Even though it was quiet, the staff performed just as they would when it's busy, which I know can be difficult to do. Huge thankyou to the keepers for all of the feeding and talking events, keep doing what your doing.

Such a nice place to visit on a sunny Autumn day, the team were very clear on which animals can be petted and fed and which was best to be viewed from the fence. Plenty of area of the children to play inside and out, with a good a good ( inside) caffe spot to eat and gift shop. Plenty of parking. My 8 year old gave it ‘a solid 9 out of 10’. Will be coming back.

Lovely day out with the kids (its been about 5 years since we were here last) Large soft play with vertical side and apparatus for all ages. Cafe has selection of hot food (burgers / chips etc) and sandwiches / crisps which was a welcome change. Outside is crazy golf, big play castle, zip line, trampolines. All animals are well looked after and the animal holding sessions (rabbits / snakes etc) was lovely - check timings when you go in. Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about the animals.

We had a brilliant time at animal farm. Took a 7 year old and an 11 month old and plenty to keep them both entertained. My 7 year old loved the reptile talk and getting to walk the ferrets. He also loved the soft play which is so value for money when you consider how much it is for an hour in most places. He also loved the trampolines and the adventure castles. The little one loved crawling around the soft play and looking at the animals. We don't live far so will return as it's a great day out if you follow the timetable and go to the talks but really the star of the show for my kids was the softplay! Drinks and snacks were pretty cheap too and all the staff were friendly and chatty.

A really fantastic place to go, wonderful helpful staff and all the facilities you could need for a super day out. Great for all the family and so much to see and do. Lots of animals and an indoor play area for the kids also there is a small cafe that serves all sorts of food. All in all a really good day out.

Great helpful staff, animals kept really well and healthy and very friendly! It's a shame a few off the enclosures were empty but can't complain as it is right at the start of the season, great for both adults and children. Would 100% recommend not the first time going and won't be the last! Thanks for a great day

Had a fantastic day out today, lovely to see such well looked after friendly animals and very knowledgeable staff, big thanks to keepers David and Brandon for all the extra information and vip treatment, it's clear to see you love what you do and your passion for your animals is wonderful. Our little one loved the wallabies and the goats and the ferrets were a surprise hit with the wife! Food and drinks in the cafe are very reasonably priced, toilets are clean and tidy and the soft play area with the slides is great. Highly recommend to any one who loves animals and will definitely be coming back for a keeper experience.

Staff were friendly, animals well kept. Place seems to have been let go a little bit. I only say this as Google photos don't match the condition of the venue in its current day. We have just come out of 2 years of lockdown so it's very understandable. We went for the dino event, again sadly pictures didn't meet expectations. But overall children loved the day out. Had lots of time in the soft play (which normally I'm looking around for them all the tike, but here I felt relaxed, just let them go and play) lots of time in the outdoor adventure playground and trampolines. Children got to walk and hold a ferret, meet a alpaca out of it enclosure and just be kids. We were here from 9.30am to 5pm and the children are now sleepy on the way home. Ages 3,5 and 7. Hot food wasn't fantastic in my opinion but everything else was good.

One of the best farms we have visited. Lots of animals to feed and lots of opportunities to interact with the animals. We got to feed and groom the goats, hold and stroke the rabbits, guinea pigs, snake, lizard and tortoises. Even though we are only just coming out of "lockdown" there is still lots to do. Trampolines, big outside play area, indoor soft play. Staff are very friendly and helpful 😊

Getting here is a bit of a trek if your not driving but it's a lovely place, lots to do feeding the animals if fun. Really helpful and friendly staff. Play area is amazing for young kids.

No staff so ordering food took so long. Messy. Dirty as no staff to clean dinner hall etc. Broken attractions all over the place. No soap in the hand wash facilities and we had just had animals eating from our hands as encouraged by the establishment. All arcade and vending machines are off and broken, taking up valuable seating space in the dinner hall and soft play area. You will be very lucky to get a table. The animals look well cared for and some of the enclosures are really good which restored my faith a little but sadly other then that it's pretty dreadful.. especially at £14 for an adult 🙄 🙃 This was the second time Iv been.. I honestly thought the first time it was still under construction and development but no.. one year later and its exactly the same.

It's exactly what it says in the name, animal farm. You can feed certain animals, but can't feed most as they have special dietary needs. The staff around the park are very knowledgeable, friendly and really good with the children. Well worth waiting around for the animal shows and having a natter with the animal keepers. The staff in the shop are very friendly and helpful too. Would go again as they help rescue animals too.

A nice family farm park with plenty to see and do, most of the animals seem to be well looked after but a few of the set ups for the reptiles and small animals were not adequate e.g. bearded dragons are being kept together and rabbits in glass enclosures. Entry fee seemed a little expensive at £15 for an adult. Staff were friendly and helpful though.

  • 4/5 Vikki B. 10 months ago on Google • 3 reviews
We had a lovely time. £14 entry fee is worth it since it obviously goes on the upkeep and welfare of the animals. Many of the enclosures and facilities are quite shabby, and the park could definitely use some TLC to get it back into top-notch condition. The animals are very well cared for, the staff we interacted with were lovely and the guy doing the talks and animal feeds genuinely cared about all the animals. We spent a good 3-3.5 hours here and would go again. The park has huge potential and could be so much more with a bit more investment and some maintenance work done.

Visited here today and absolutely loved it, so interactive!! Spent 4.5 hours here and could have easily spent more time. Was so excited about how close we got to the wallabies. Loved seeing the black foxes and raccoon dogs. I would definitely recommend going here

Great place for young children. The animals are all really friendly and well looked after. Quite a few of the attractions seem to be closed or out of order. The food in the play barn was basic but there was a decent amount of choice and was prepared quickly. There where lots of places to wash your hands and clear information and signs for the animal enclosures.

Such a lovely place. The animals are amazing and friendly. The staff are friendly, informative and take such wonderful care of the animals. So much to see and a fantastic entry price too. My little boy loved it as did I. The food was delicious and very good price. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you to the staff for making the day memorable for us

Really enjoyed the close up encounters. Very good feeding the various animals. Saw sheep shearing which was fascinating

Brilliant afternoon. Lots of different animals to see, with informative talks from members of staff. I recommend buying bags of feed so you can get closer to the animals.

Super friendly staff, always happy to help, explain, take time and were great with kids. Animals were well looked after, lovely variety, great softplay area and lovely outside activities

  • 3/5 Emma T. 2 years ago on Google
Great hands on experience for kids and adults to hold/touch various animals but rides which were closed looked dilapidated and in need of removal, and looked like a potential health and safety hazard. Some areas looked tired and others looked like they were in the process of creating new animal enclosures. We didn't bother with lunch, as the food outlet in the indoor play area was full but staff looked disorganised and there didn't appear to be anywhere behind the counter that looked remotely hygienic to prepare food. Staff in the animal handling area were friendly and knowledgeable and were on hand to answer questions and give advice. Overall great to get up close to animals, see different animals like black foxes, white deer and wallabys but wouldn't rush back on the basis of the place feeling quite run down.

We had a great time at Animal Farm. There's plenty of parking, The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of animals to see over a large area to roam and also there is a brilliant indoor reptile and small animal area. The outdoor play area is great with a very big play fort and trampolines etc. The indoor soft play area was very clean and tidy and plenty of seating area for parents to keep an eye on their children while having a cuppa or a bite to eat. Great selection of ice cream flavours, also a variety of snacks and basic hot meals to choose from. All in all a great afternoon out for us and our two boys aged 8 and 3.

Brilliant full day out with a 3 children aged 4, 3 & 1, we all loved it. Especially enjoyed handling rabbits & guinea pigs, feeding goats and seeing the cute raccoon dogs. The indoor play barn was great too, difficult to get the children out!
