The best things I can say about this hotel is location. Next to the train station but it was very quiet all the time when we stayed there. City center and two big markets are near the hotel. Toilet and bathroom was very clean but it has no space for changing rooms and it was difficult for us with two children. Very friendly staff and great service. Also breakfast was good and not expensive. It was good đź‘Ť.

For ÂŁ72 for a superior double and the photos online I was very excited to stay but the room we were in was dirty and definitely had not been cleaned prior to our stay, long hairs on the floor, dirt and dust I was really disappointed the bathroom was tiny and we faced right onto the train tracks, not too much noise from that. The only good thing was the lady on reception who came straight up when I had an issue with the TV. I wouldn't stay again.

The hotel was very convenient for a night stay in the city, very close to the bars and restaurants and 10min walk from the castle and 20 min away from the bay. The room had a small bathroom and large bed, with TV that you could connect to your phone. The room had a bit of wear and tear issues and the extra pillows provided had not been changed and were dirty. We only received one towel between us. Overall it was for for purpose and would return for another night stay.

Very clean. Good location. Came back to hotel tonight at 11pm after night out. 5 drunken druggies sat in the door way. Had to threaten my way through. I challenged the two staff sat 10 feet away and asked why they weren’t doing something about it. The Asian guy looked confused and the other guy possibly Italian said he couldn’t hear the noise. They were just lazy and scared. I think the hotel should think about your guests safety and access. Disgusting behaviour by staff. Lucky I’m a big bloke. Bad customer service

Although the rooms are clean, modern and well presented, I would avoid, especially if a business traveler. + clean rooms with comfortable bed. +good location - small rooms - nights out clientele - loud guests partying late into the morning hours (stag nights etc) - strange welcome by a security guard with a clipboard after 11pm, although no security once inside where the reps problems start (see below) On my particular visit, I had someone try to break into my room at 4.10am. I reached for the room phone, which did not work. When I spoke to the reception staff that morning, the answer was “…oh sorry” Stick to the bigger name hotels.

Great location just couple of minutes from train station. Close everywhere, shops, bars. Very basic hotel, reasonably priced. Room is very small, and wooden bed frame doesn’t help. Guaranteed someone will hurt shins on them. Bedding, towels, bathroom were clean, room was fairly clear, floor was somehow dusty. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again very convenient.

Location: Central Cardiff. Couldn't be better for a night out. Good value for money. Service: Staff we're friendly Rooms: Beginning to show signs of age and they are tiny. The toilet was really low and you could wash your hands in the basin without standing up.

I actually booked it a day prior due to change in my programme. The other hotels were mostly occupied and were not available. I wasn't expecting great initially in this place. So my expectations, the place was neat and clean. Everything was compact! Yes place is definitely having small rooms but well planned with essentials for 2 -3 days stay. Cardiff is a busy place where you are out till late evening. By the time you are back, you just need a comfy bed to retire which this place will give you. Staffs were pleasing. Breakfast is a typical one. Shower was good quality. Location is the best. Overall, a good stay.

The hotel is on top of the rail tracks, so you will it when trains pass. It's clean, no fuss and a ten minutes walk to the city centre. Breakfast is a buffet. I personally had a bad experience in this hotel because the fire alarm went off twice in the night, due to another customer taking a very hot shower apparently!! My main expectation from my stay here was to get a good night sleep - which I didn't, unfortunately.

Nice staff, room was clean - we just needed somewhere to sleep after a concert. Unfortunately there is no window that opens, just a pane of glass, so the room is very hot and stuffy with no way of allowing even a small bit of fresh air in. The air conditioning is very loud with a flashing light, so sleeping was impossible with that on, so we lay awake boiling hot for the night. Bear in mind this was November so can imagine this is awful in summer. If this doesn't bother you then would be a good budget option close to the station and CIA.

The staff and location were fantastic, really close to the centre of town and a two minute walk the train station ideal. My only complaint will be the size of the room and bathroom. Other than that I thoroughly recommend and enjoyed my get away.

Very good price, clean rooms. Breakfast good, although the bacon was cooked too much for my liking. Great bar staff. Central location for city sightseeing. Good bar choice. Staff friendly and professional .

This place is absolutely perfect for a visit to Cardiff the cooked breakfast was second to none the beds pillows and room spotlessly clean, staff superb. The only thing that could have been better but did not spoil our stay was the coffee in the morning, the coffee machine could be be in need of an upgrade but otherwise perfect Mike and Sarah

Fantastic location ust metres from the Railway station. Modern comfortable rooms, good size, lovely bathroom and shower. Very helpful staff. Fantastic place to stay in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. Fantastic value for money.

Great location but tbh the three star hotel rating flatters then. The room was a bit small and basic although the bathroom was nice. No bedside table and there was an alarm monitor button next to the bed which I accidentally set off at midnight. Service was pleasant and helpful.

Amazing experience with this Hotel. Perfectly located right next to Central Cardiff train station and a few steps away from the city centre. Nice staff and an excellent British breakfast.

Ideal location next to Cardiff Central yet no noise can be heard from outside. Rooms are good value and always clean. Can drop back off before check in which is great too.

Stayed her a few times when having a weekend break in Cardiff. Brilliant staff. Great area downstairs to work. Good WiFi connection (and good coffee!) Rooms are basic and small, but that’s the whole point! Has everything you need, clean and comfortable.

I had a promotion for a free night away, I chose this hotel mainly due to the location as my partner and I wanted to enjoy a meal out and a few drinks in Cardiff. The nearest and cheapest car park from what I found was the train station, which was only a 2 minute walk to the hotel and cost £13.45 for a day. The location was ideal, as mentioned it’s at the end of St Mary’s street and you are walking distance to the pubs/bars/restaurants, as well as shops. Staff were all very friendly. Room was small but it was advertised as a compact room. Noise levels we a little high but it’s to be expected with the location and the bed was close to the window. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stop again.

Modern basic, minimalist style hotel. Had everything you would need in compact, but comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Great location in City Center and reasonably priced parking in Station car park- PayByPhone app, simple! Good buffet breakfast in morning spread over a few hours, didn't need to get up at daft o'clock with a hangover! Would stay again.

Lots to like about Sleeperz Cardiff; the staff were very friendly, if a little inexperienced at times, and check in and check out was seamless and quick. The lounge and building are very pleasant and modern. There are also some great features to the rooms; the soundproofing to the outside is great, however with occasional noise from the corridor. There are several issues with the rooms however. They are incredibly small - barely enough room to manoeuvre around the small double bed. There were scrapes on the walls of my room showing people's past attempts! Additionally, while the sheets and bathroom fixtures were clean, there were persistent cleanliness issues elsewhere; the kettle, the room phone, the corners of the floor, the window sill, to name a few. Ultimately I wouldn't normally mind small things, except that you can generally find a Travelodge/Premier Inn/Ibis for cheaper, with a higher standard of space and cleanliness.

Myself and my partner had a lovely stay! Stayed from Tuesday till Thursday. Travelled from Essex, England and it was well worth it! Price was reasonable ÂŁ129 for the time we stayed. Very convenient location next to the station and the city centre. Lots to do. Very friendly staff. Room was in lovely condition. Will definitely be booking again in October when we return to Cardiff in October!

As advertised, the room was small but suited our needs on this trip. The bed was comfortable, the staff meeting our needs for additional pillows and we're friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel couldn't have been any closer to the Central train station which is perfect if your carrying luggage. They offer a full breakfast in the lobby, we did not partake so I can't comment. The hotel is also conveniently located to all Cardiff has to offer. Cafes, pubs, returants and shopping.

This was a great hotel for the price. It was right next to the train station and convenient for walking to the city center. The staff was friendly, they let us check in a few minutes early, and they stored our bags for a few hours after our checkout. The room was small (as expected for the price and location), but clean and comfortable.

The hotel was in a great location to shops and restaurants. The parking was not on site like I had thought. You had to park at central Station and walk over which was inconvenient with luggage. Very basic amenities but the hotel seemed clean

Tiny double room, smaller than photos and descriptions provided. On hottest night of the year to date, the Aircon refused to cool. No remote for TV, no plugs or charging points near bedhead, kettle occupying all of one tiny bedside table (safety??), small double bed inches away from one wall. Toilet sliding door essentially just a movable screen. Breakfast a shambles with pleasant staff struggling with poor equipment and woeful layout of the self-service area. Hotel was in great location however for station and Stadium

Fantastic hotel! The rooms are well decorated and facilitate to a high standard. The staff are impeccable, all friendly and went the extra mile to help me enjoy my stay. The only reason I deducted a star is because the breakfast needs some improvement, maybe some more help is needed in the kitchen.

Perfect location for centre of Cardiff, near train station and not too noisy. Nice comfy bed and big screen TV. Felt a bit like a prison as I couldn't open a window.

Nice hotel short walk from station with modern facilities. Room was quite compact though so not really suitable for couples. Enjoyed their English breakfast.

Very clean.breakfast very Nice and staff very helpful. Only drawback was toilet in room very small.and no toilet in libby/bar area

A modern hotel in a fantastic location, right next to the train station and in the centre of Cardiff, staff on check in were helpful and friendly, room was compact but had everything you needed, bed was comfy also. I would definitely recommend this place, and it will be the first hotel I think of when going to stay in Cardiff again.

Great location next to the train station. Very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. The only downside was the bathroom is tiny.

  • 5/5 Daniel W. 2 years ago on Google
Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff! Easy check in and check out, rooms are a little small but plenty of storage

The staff were friendly and the room was adequate for the 3 days I was there. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were amazing. The only grumble was the shower. It would randomly go cold when you were least expecting it. I guess it’s one way to wake up quickly. I would happily stay here again if I was in Cardiff because it’s so handy for everything in the centre.

More expensive as it was a six nations game weekend. Happy to pay. Ideally situated for everything. Rooms had everything needed. Bed very comfy especially the pillows. Shower powerful. Everything was spotless, and I'm very particular. Staff very friendly on booking in and out, and inbetween. My whole party would stay again.

Clean, comfortable and quiet room with minimal decoration and a good shower in the en-suite. The staff were helpful and the self-service breakfast was standard fare but good quality. Its location next to the train station in the centre of the city is good for both business travelers and tourists.

Brilliant location. We arrived and got a really friendly welcome. The rooms are very functional and clean. Really enjoyed the stay here. It really is such good value for a central hotel.

  • 4/5 Mark 1 year ago on Google
Excellent location, very centrally located and staff are very helpful and the room that I was in had an excellent view over Cardiff and I slept very well. Only few letdowns were breakfast which was a bit poor (I opted to go over to Weatherspoons instead) and the twin rooms are a little on the small side. Slightly too small for a solo traveller, certainly too small for 2 people. You could hear almost everything which was going on in the corridor and the curtains didn't cover the window so was awoken each day at 6.30am which wasn't ideal. I would return though despite the down sides.

Stayed here with my young family, 2 kids and husband, for 2 nights. We used it as a base to go to Whitmore Bay. Absolutely fantastic stay. So clean, which is needed when little ones manage to touch every surface imaginable. Staff were great, a woman with short blonde hair checked us in. Very professional and friendly. Had the buffet breakfast one day. Was really good value. Will definitely stay again.

  • 4/5 Geoffrey K. 2 years ago on Google
Great location and not very expensive. Staff were friendly. No parking but you can pay to park about 100m away. Room was small and view was of a train track, but it was clean and the TV worked and the air con worked. Bathroom was tiny but good and clean I liked it and would recommend it. But the rooms are small.

Fabulous. Great staff on reception. Excellent security at the door. Basic room, clean and functional. Safe big enough for a laptop in the room too. Ideal for Cardiff city centre. Easy walking distance to cafés, restaurants and shops.

  • 4/5 Lee A. 1 year ago on Google
Nice clean, warm but small room. No wardrobe but coat hangars on a pole. Nice en suite but no soap or hair shampoo bottles, just push button dispenser. Small window but not possible to open for fresh air. Good value for a mid week visit, but a bit expensive for the weekend rate.

  • 5/5 Hayley M. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely stay in a lovely hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room very clean and spacious for myself and 2 teenagers. Right in the middle of city centre do everything close to hand. Would highly recommend đź‘Ś

Should at least add a decent TV with normal facilities like Chrome cast, Netflix and etc. Not suitable for kids if you want to warm up the milk then be prepared coz they don't let you use the microwave plus windows make you feel like prisoners since you can't open them. Overall location was good, not too noisy and beds were comfy too.

  • 4/5 Bethany L. 1 year ago on Google
The location is great but the building works outside meant that there was quite a lot of noise early on in the morning. It's simple to get into the building at night after the doors close at 11pm. The rooms are looking a little tired but the bathroom was clean and well furnished.
