I stayed in River house for three days and booked through Airbnb. This house is professionally maintained with regular cleaning. The room was clean and beautiful. Room had a good ventilation and lighting as well. The location of this house has a pleasant environment and it is 10 min walking distance from happening areas like town centre, boat trips, cardiff castle etc. Kitchen has all the facilities like micro-oven, fridge, coffee maker, clean utensils etc. The description of the house is same as described on AirBnB site. The hosts are helpful and courteous.

An absolutely ideal place to spend a vacation in Cardiff. Perfectly situated and incredibly well-kept. 10/10 in terms of comfort. Nothing more you could ask for. The owners Ari and Charlie do a superb job

BEST accomodation in Cardiff I havent been to any other accomodation place in cardiff nor have I checked and surely I wont do it in future because I am in love with this place U will not find a single reason to not chose this place once u be in there you will always book this place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

it was my first experience with Airbnb I was a little bit skeptical but I find it amazing. The apartment was very clean me and my wife liked it a lot. I would definitely recommend it.

All fob and keycode access. Easy to follow instructions off emails. Room overlooking River. Coffee/tea available 24/7 from kitchen. Comfortable bed, very clean and easy to contact staff for any enquiries via mobile. Only downside for me was constant noise of room doors banging throughout the night. This was probably due to the safety closers on the doors. Really spoiled my stay, consequently not the sleep I needed or intended to have. Beyond the fault of the hoteliers, but something that may be considered going forward? Independent hotel, good price, and very central to Cardiff City centre about 10 minutes walk to the castle. I would stay there again.

BIZMATES Excursion of eight friends stayed here for six days (27/2 - 4/3/23) and had all round very good experience of cleanliness, self-catering, customer service, and close proximity to coach and train stations and city centre; special recognition of services by Mandy and Rob.

We were only here for one night but thought it was fantastic and would absolutely stay again. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathrooms and kitchen were all modern and super well kept. Such a comfortable and lovely space. I'd recommend staying here to anyone.

Gorgeous guest house in the city centre. Right beside Cardiff Central Train Station which is very helpful for exploring the area. Everything was very well organised by the hosts.and the rooms were spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay again. Second time my partner and I have stayed here, this time for a full week. Cannot recommend enough. Very lovely and clean, and the kitchen is fab.

I stayed at the Riverhouse due to me being a guest at a wedding a little bit outside of Cardiff. The room itself was splendid and the common areas were kept as clean as can be: every morning I would see people, including Charlie himself, clean and put a lot of effort in just upholding the living areas as much as possible. If I am staying in Cardiff again, I will absolutely consider coming back to the Riverhouse: it's very close to the central area, a short walk away, but still enough to be away from the ruckus that the Cardiff nightlife brings with it! The check-in and check-out procedure was also very clear and leaves room for some leniency towards the people staying at the hotel. I'd recommend taking a look at this B&B if you're planning on visiting Cardiff.

This wonderful place is practically a hotel with a shared bathroom for much less than other hotels around it. The location is close to the city centre but far enough away that it doesn't get loud when the students get kicked out of bars. It's close to the train station so it's not a hassle to get to with luggage. Breakfast was a cook yourself kind of thing but was always good quality for your money. It also came with the option to have fresh coffee, cereal, toast etc.

You couldn't ask for a better location. Self check-in was smooth thanks to the detailed instructions given by the hosts the day before and I was pleased to find my room nice and warm. I didn't add breakfast but it smelled lovely in the morning. Unfortunately my room was on the ground floor and facing the road which was surprisingly busy for a weekday night, and I was woken up a few times by cars passing by, despite using earplugs. So if you're sensitive to noise I'd recommend asking for a room that's facing the other side of the building.

Recently stayed for a 3 night break. Fantastic location overlooking the river, just a few minutes walk to the city centre,stadium,castle and station. The whole house was spotlessly clean and our room was large and airy. Shared kitchen/lounge area where we met many lovely guests of every nationality. Pre-booked breakfast was filling and delicious. Large bathroom with separate shower/toilet cubicles,also pristine. Highly recommend !

The Riverhouse is one of the best accommodations I have stayed in across the United Kingdom. The price is extremely affordable and I encourage you to book here during your next stay in Cardiff. A 10 minute walk to downtown, you overlook the river from the front of the house, and the grand stadium rising up over the canal. The house features a spacious common/breakfast room, an outdoor back garden, clean and well maintained showers and washrooms (some together, some separate so you never have to wait!), key fob entries on the suite doors, as well as codes to get into the building. They offer breakfast if you book in advance, as well as pantries stocked with communal goods. You can cook your own food in the kitchen too! The rooms are spacious, with wood floors, big windows, and clean bedding. The TV has live television as well as every streaming service (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, YouTube...). The Wi-Fi is fast. They also offer towels to their guests, and there is body wash in some of the showers incase you forgot/lost yours. Even though we shared a floor with ~4 other rooms, we couldn't hear them and slept happily. The Riverhouse is perfect and I hope it continues to be successful!

Excellent location. Great value breakfast. Bunk bed with 1 double and 1 single bed. Separate beds would have been better but there were comfy beds. Very clean. Excellent checkin and checkout service. Gluten free breakfast available. Free parking nearby. Free Netflix. Very good Wi-Fi. Highly recommend this B&B.

This guest house it's located in front of the rugby stadium, so it's perfect if you are looking for a place close to town. The rooms are big and well equiped, following a minimal style, so they maintain a high quality standard where you feel very welcoming. The hotel is always very clean, so as the toilet room, and the kitchen facilites and living room are amazing and very confortable. The breakfast is highly recommended and you have a great selection of juices, coffees, drinks and chocolates and loads of fresh food (fruit, granola, yoghurt, pastries ...). The costumer service is fantastic, they always answer you very quick and well detailed.

for £51 this place is perfectly located and super close to the bus station. the rooms are super clean and equiped with fans and towels for the stay! self check in and out is so super easy and very convenient! all facilities, including bathrooms and kitchen space are well kept and fully equiped with everything you need! I couldn’t recommend this place enough

We stayed in The Riverhouse for a week and really enjoyed it! There was a self check in, which was explained in detail in an email befor the arrival. Everything was super clean and comfy. You get a little breakfast for 3£ per day. The kitchen is very well equipped and the hosts provide coffee, tea, milk, spices, oil, etc. for the guests. The location of the hostel is almost perfect. You need just some minutes to go to the city center and there are many bus stations nearby. If I will ever visit Cardiff again, I will stay at The Riverhouse for sure!

Me and my partner were staying in Cardiff for a Film Festival, and The Riverhouse was just what we needed! So close to the city centre, it was in the perfect location. And best of all, the facilities gave us the freedom a hotel room wouldn't; with a fully fitted out communal kitchen, a lovely rear garden terrace to sit out in in the morning, and personalised Breakfast bag included, and modified to our dietary needs (being vegan). Communication with the owners Abi & Charlie was easy and great throughout the stay. Before we arrived, we were apprehensive what the communal bathroom situation might be like, but they were always pristine and clean, just like modern en-suites, with a few on each floor. Checking-in was also painless, and fitted round our plans as we arrived early before our room was set to be ready, and we could leave our bags in the communal area. Overall we would highly recommend The Riverhouse to anyone planning a stay in Cardiff!

This place is wonderful! Very convenient location, well kept, and clean. I felt safe through my stay which is important since I am a female traveling alone. I recommend adding the breakfast its convenient and great for the price. Plenty of side options to go along with the ham and cheese croissant, you will not be left hungry. The staff is kind and helpful. Rooms are quaint and well kept. 10/10 highly recommend.

Excellent location as was just the opposite side of the River Taff to the National Rugby Stadium (3-4 minutes) to the train station and the centre of the Main Street. The room and facilities were clean and excellent all round.

-Room was spacious and clean and had amazon TV.. -Good kitchen facilities including microwave and hot water machine. (also hob etc. I did not use). and seating areas you can use for dinner. -Shared bathroom with small shower cubicles with jet aimed at you so have to get the temperature adjusted right quickly lol. -Had very little contact with the staff but they do a good job maintaining everything. I didn't see any cats :-( -Excellent price so all things considered I must give this 5 stars.

Wonderful B&B - a real gem. Peaceful yet under 10 minutes walk from the centre of Cardiff. Outstanding service - asked a query by text and the owner was at my door almost before I'd finished typing 😃. Skip the bland chain hotels and come here instead. Highly recommended.

Everything is well designed and kept clean all the time. There are plenty of very clean toilets and showers so you don’t actually feel like “sharing” the facilities. If you’re a light sleeper, I would suggest to bring ear plugs only because of the doors banging sounds made by other guests - it’s not the hotel’s fault and it personally didn’t bother me. I had to ask for assistance over the phone and it was very professionally dealt with. I will surely come back here again! Many thanks😊

My first day, and already I can say great place. Beautifull building, lovely living room, kitchen and garden patio. Clean room, gel and towel for shower. Very clean and modern toilets/showers. Very close to city centre and to Cardiff Castle. You will love it

This is a perfect place to explore the city and surroundings. The River House is amazing, they have all you need for a good stay, as a tourist and also for workplace. Good Internet, lots of electricity points, USB plugs, clean, lot of modern renovated bathrooms, bed/mattress are perfect. And the breakfast is good price/quality. Details are really notable. 👌🏼

An excellent hostel run by a brother and sister. Very clean and well run. It is a 10 minute walk to the city centre and the train station. One of the best hostels I've stayed in.

The best B&B I have ever been. Super clean, quite place , near to the center, all what I needed and the best of all..the staff was lovely , friendly and very helpul. Definitely, I will stay again in my next visit to Cardiff.
