Nice place for a stop. Small park on hillside. Seats, but no other facilities. Views of Penarth Pier and over to Flat Holm

Always a great view, such a shame that the original shelter has gone.

Lovely view . Some steep area if walking from cardiff or cenarth. Worth it though

Great views and interesting facts around the viewpoint. We set off from Penarth Marina and it was rather a steep climb for us two wrinklies. Sherpa Tenzing would have been an appropriate companion! Having said that it was well signposted and well worth the effort!

Beautiful place, but difficult to find on maps. Very segregated, so only locals would find it. Should be promoted more since the views were fabulous.

This is a serene spot in an unlikely place near a housing estate at the rear and a retirement home on the right. But if you're ever looking for a quiet spot where you can see for miles and hear the sea, this is one of the best in Penarth. Sitting on a park bench you're looking down to the pier, along the coast and across to North Devon. Its beautiful. If you're having a stressful day, this is the perfect quiet place for prayer. Behind the benches is a spot where you can have a view of the coast from South East to south west including the Second Severn Crossing around to North Devon (some might venture Cornwall but I don't think so). This is a hidden gem, find it, it's worth it.

Was walking the coast path through here so no need to carry food. Plenty of choice here.

Even loads of locals don't know about this place. Hidden gem with a nice look out, 180 degree coastal views, benches, a small monument and dog walkers. It's a small'ish green area. Nice photo of the pier from here.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Haven’t been here in years. The Pier is looking amazing! The beach was quite quiet although we did go midweek but the promenade had a great atmosphere, lovely to see lots of people about.

πŸ‘ It’s a lovely place to walk. I was amazed at the clear waters of the lake. You could see the fish swimming around. There were so many. The birds were on the surface and it was a cool sight. We spotted a couple of water voles. I’ve never seen any before. Don’t confuse them with rats. They loo...
