Probably the best pub I have EVER been to. The food was 10/10, the beer was cold and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The passageway to the bar was SO COOL!!

Absolutely brilliant place, staff are so lovely, the Inn is beautiful with thick stone walls like a castle. Food was excellent, we sat in the bar as we had our dog with us, and they do have a restaurant too. We will definitely be back. Thank you for accommodating us as short notice too.

Established in 1380, this pub can't be beaten for its character. This, coupled with excellent home cooked meals, is a winning combination and you won't be disappointed.

Saw the Blue Anchor on a local BBC TV Show, so thought we would pop down. We popped in on Saturday and enjoyed a light lunch and some excellently kept beer. We would thoroughly recommend the pub as both a great historical location and a great pub. We will certainly return.

Thatched roof, II-Grade listed, one of the most charming, and one of the oldest Pubs (XIV century) in Wales. Traditional, very medieval style ambience with few fireplaces. Great ๐Ÿป and... Probably same level of food but unfortunately didn't have a time to try anything this time (revisit must be done!)

Hadn't visited this place in over 15 years, wish I hadn't left it so long. We booked for valentines day evening in the restaurant, the food was amazing, atmosphere was cozy and setting was perfect. One must you need to have the garlic cheese bread its to die for!!!!

Lovely, lovely old pub with friendly and efficient service. Nothing was too much for the staff and the food was delicious. They were also helpful in guiding us to a local walk, at the end of which we popped back for a cuppa and another meal

Lovely pub, lots of little areas tucked away. Real fire ,friendly accomodating staff and good food. Set in a quiet village with ample parking. If you like walking there is a wooded path leading to the sea,to walk off lunch...or as a precursor to it. Dogs I could see are allowed , but the place wasn't over run with them thankfully. Boots recommended for the walk.

Had a meal there with friends and family to celebrate my brothers 70th birthday and had a wonderful time. Staff very attentive and pleasant from start to finish. We all choose our food except dessert before and it all arrived together and it was hot and delicious. Its been a long time since we've visited the blue anchor and I know it won't be long before we're back.

Has to be the best Sunday lunch I've ever had out, just like home made. Piping hot and everything cooked to perfection and very tasty. The staff were so friendly, helpful and pleasant. The building is outstanding well worth going there just to see it. The small rooms with their log fires are so welcoming. Booking is advisable.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The food is so amazing! I mean really really amazing! We tried to made pictures but we rather enjoyed the food. When you're sitting inside you feeling like back in time. Old and cozy. I just can imagine this place on a cold winter night, when the fire is on and everybody coming together. Just lovely. The staff is so friendly and kind. Just a 20/10!

Highly recommended to us by staff at the Gilestone Manor. It did not disappoint. The staff at the Anchor managed to accommodate us and our little dog at relatively late notice. The pub was busy with most covers taken. There was a wait for orders to be taken and food to arrive, but hey, all good things come to those that wait and boy was it good. 4 of us, 3 different choices, all extremely well presented and tasty. Similarly, when the desserts arrived, artistically presented and extremely unctuous. Great and appropriately attentive staff. A wonderful evening at a very reasonable price. Top, top nosh!

We had an amazing time at the Blue Anchor Inn. A real Gem! Awesome food & very professional, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. We are members of Brit Stop and stayed in their carpark (which is opposite the pub) in our camper overnight. The pub itself is beautiful, quirky with nooks and cosy corners, some tiny doorways, and even a little tunnel to get through to the dining area. It has an outside seating area & the facilities were lovely and clean. Our meals were top class and the sticky toffee pudding was the best we have ever had. Thank you. We will be back when we next come to Wales.

Lovely old pub, cool inside in the summer, and warm in the winter, (with real fire). Had a celebration lunchtime meal with work colleagues, the menu choice was varied, we all had something different and all really enjoyed our meals. Althoigh we weren't drinking, there is a great selection of draft beers, ales and cider. Also a nice outside area too. Highly recommended.

We were a party of 10 guests for Sunday lunch in December - the restaurant was extremely busy, yet we had attentive service and each of us had an excellent meal with enormous portions of extra vegetables. Our table was in an alcove which felt very safe in terms of Covid.

Lovely Sunday dinner. Soup was very tasty & hot. Beef was just as I like it, bloody. Roast potatoes crispy as they should be. Delisious! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Worth a visit for Sunday Lunch without doubt.
