Ordered at 5.30pm, said would arrive at 6.45, actually arrived at 7.50!! Then when I went to unpack the food, discovered the order was missing some main meals, called the restaurant and told I would have to wait another half an hour or have it free next time! I had paid over £40 this time, Absolutely disgusting service, will never order from them again, and will be telling people not to use this take away!

About Mowglis Canton Branch Takeway. Advised by Whitchurch branch to order from Canton branch. A total disaster, and ruined our previous experience. Butter chicken had small pieces of chicken remnants floating on watery sauce. Speciality Naan breads were lukewarm, very dry, tough, elastic, and tasteless, as if they were hurriedly warmed up in the microwave. Rajasthani veg dish was 'vindaloo' hot, not nice. The K Prawn Biryani tasted like cardboard, very dry, seemed like prawns from another menu had been mixed with rice from another dish, did not taste or smelt like biryani!! We binned the food and ended up making our own toasted sandwiches. We are aware Hospitality has suffered during the pandemic, but Quality does not have to suffer! I think i am entitled to a refund. Mowglis - Never Again!!

We had a large takeaway from here last weekend and the food was phenomenal. Every dish we tried was so tasty and full of flavour. We have been trying to find a nice curry in Cardiff for a while and this will certainly be a restaurant we will be calling upon readily.

My daughter would kill for the food here😅. Probably the best Indian takeaway in Cardiff. Absolutely love the food

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. I had to to enable me review. After waiting over an hour for food which was meant to arrive in 45 minutes. To ring and find out it was leaving the shop (clearly it wasnt) it arrived 15 minutes later. We were 1 can down, and over charged. We were told we would receive the money back tonight and the can we are missing. Starts to eat our curry... half way through I found a piece of card which looks like a piece of packaging from something as it states cut or tear here. Rang them to explain and I got told you can have a free curry next time. 2 hours later I rang to find out where my money and can were I got told he will post it through my letter box when he finishes work as their busy. Then asked about the can we were missing and I got told we will not receive it and not entitled to any money back. I will be taking this further.

Food was half hour late. They overcharged us and didn't give us the drink we ordered. Found a piece of card in the curry too. Called up to complain and he said I'm sorry we are busy we can't give you the drink or the money that we owe you as we are too busy. Nobody should pay £17 for food to find card in the curry and items missing from your order. They admitted the card was from their packaging in the kitchen! Told them I was involving trading standards and he just laughed on the phone, told me to shut up and put the phone down!! Absolutely disgusting service

The most horrendous experience I have ever had with a restaurant. Our food took 2.5 hours to arrive and we ordered at 5:20pm on a Thursday night - hardly prime time!! I called four times to see where our food was, each time being told the driver was on his way, the third time I asked for a call back to tell me where the driver was and didn't receive one. When I called again, I asked to speak to the manager who raised his voice at me, and refused to give me discount or a refund on our food, and told me for the fourth time in the last hour that our food was on it's way. Very disappointed by the way I have been treated as a customer. I would have refused to hand money over for this appalling service but unfortunately we had to pay up front with Just Eat! Will NEVER be ordering from here again. Horrendous.

Waited over a hour for delivery when I phone up they said driver went to the wrong address but would cook the food fresh and send it back! What a lie the food came within 10 minutes freezing cold, chips were black and I had the pleasure of paying £15 for it!!! Not happy will NOT be Ordering from here again! Save your money and buy elsewhere

The absolute worst curry i have ever had and I’ve had lots of curries , I the most tasteless cold and over cooked food ever. Arrived late but no apology for it, food order messed up wrong main curry sent, my husband called them to complain and was offered another meal which we did Not want, asked for a refund of some of the bill but were told Don’t offer refunds!!! What an absolute cheek they have No rights to call themselves a curry takeaway, I will never recommend this place to anyone and will make sure word goes around about their attitude as they shouted at me down the phone when I tried to discuss my complaint wit them ..... Do Not order food from this takeout unless you have No taste for a decent curry ....

Almost gave 5 stars......pleasantly surprised as to how fresh it feels in store . The food was lovely contrary to other comments . I'm fussy to. Curry was tasty onion bahjjis were especially tasty. . Served in good time . And staff were pleasant. Will certainly use again. Won't be disappointed. We weren't.

Ordered from here several times and never had a problem before. Ordered food through deliveroo, said 45min delivery, took 1hr 50min, most of the food was cold. Complained via deliveroo and only offered 15% refund

It’s a very Indian affair, Mowgli’s yet another location of theirs tried and another 5 star review, the food quality does not change no matter what location you go too, I did notice the chips here and on par with whitchurch or Birchgrove sites. You guys could do so much as a franchise.!! Ctm all the way for me garlic naan and chips for the win a real good handle on dietary requirements especially gluten intolerance

The speciality beef dishes are a must try! Always great tasting food, will definitely be ordering from here regularly! Very friendly staff who always go the extra mile and food is always delivered hot or ready to collect when agreed. Thank you!

Food was amazing, would highly recommend and order again. Food also delivered bang on time as they estimated. Only downside was the rice being a really small portion, and they didn’t give any poppadoms when we spent over £100!

Food was absolutely amazing and would highly recommend, especially the lamb! Would definitely order again however the delivery driver was extremely rude (complained about our address and said it was wrong because he didn’t agree with it being part of the street named) and said we had to pay a few pounds in cash despite having paid in full with card through just eat ?

I had Methi Lamb tonight with Pilau rice , raita and a K Nan. It was lush.

Had a meal from here the other day. I collected. Absolutely beautiful food and the portions were huge. Really excellent value for money. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

I popped in to Mowgli's cowbridge Ed east canton this evening for a takeaway, a rare treat for me. Sorely disappointed. I Naan bread that had hardly seen any heat. Barely warm mushroom rice ( I had a 2 min journey by car to get it home, so should have still been piping. Chicken balt....well what can I say, giant size pieces of chicken that were so chewy, I had to spit them out 😒 apart from the "ogre" size pieces of chicken there nust have been four large onions chopped in to more "ogre" sized pieces and "al dente" is an understatement. All in all a miserable excuse for a curry, majority of which went into bin. It also left a horrid metallic taste in my mouth, yuk!! I have a takeaway about twice a year, because I think they're a waste of money. Today, was a difficult day, so I folded and got one.....woe is me!!! I'm adding to this review following morning. My stomach is griping so bad, I'm doubled up 😒 😒

First time trying Mowgli's (Cowbridge Rd) and although the Dhansak was lovely the rest of the food was terrible, cold chips, over cooked onion bhajee that were so dry they were hard to swollow, nann bread was under cooked and cold, poppadoms were rock hard Also seemed expensive compared to our usual Indian takeaway (like for like) Both me and the wife were very disappointed
